Jimi Hendrix what was you where did you first see Jimi Hendrix buddy who's that place called on 48th and 8th Street was at the scene the scene in the basement because you came there once when I was playing man it was in the basement that a chamber brothers yeah and and I didn't know who he was and I was about must have been about 24 10:25 we keep mentioning ages not because I'm trying to try to keep this Alzheimer's thank you trying to throw bricks at me no no no but in any way a dick Waterman was had contacted me then and I had to get tied behind my head you know I'm like trying to get some attention mostly you did and somebody had a tape recorder and they was like that's Jimi Hendrix and I had had a couple of shots you know and I'm trying to get me one of these hippie gals in lettuce at exactly what I said I get out of my damn when the hell is Jimi Hendrix and he started waving and plugging up is why why apparently suddenly see I just cancel the gig I want to get change to play with young Hendrix I said who the hell is that there's somebody that doesn't and we go doing cool in here so I finally stopped playing and he plugged up and went to went to work on it and I said well maybe I should know you didn't from that day on we we came because we had some conversations together after that and that I was like about maybe two and a half years for he passed away well I first met him at Tom couch place and mobile and mobile yeah yeah and guess what he was doing he was in the rhythm section for Little Richard yeah that's how I first met huh huh and they didn't care too much about blue because the rich was so electrifying when he got through everybody getting ridley yeah but we had in a mission like kind of like he was in you know for us on the road it was what you played 13 you off right Emma the Union thing but Jimmy was quite when I met him when I saw him he didn't drink he didn't drink or smoke or anything and I wasn't drinking that much then so we go in the dressing room and we just sit in there you know like two stools and so finally he says BB oven listen to you for a while that's it I said really and then he told me his name but I noticed he was left-handed he didn't play like we do yeah he's left-handed fraid this no yeah this way hmm and so I was asking why didn't change the strings you know and he said well that's just the way I learned and that's how I met Jimmy mm-hm and he was a very nice I thought he was yes a nice person very night and he animal from till after he had gone to England and that's when I started here Jimmy and his Jimmy and so it wasn't yeah I know him yeah you know but I never did get us to speak to him again you
