hello everyone welcome back to geek out Japan if you are new around here my name is Kaylee today we are now out of Akihabara we are actually in another town over called weno so we made it to weno today because we're actually going to visit a different store so I'm wearing glasses cuz it's beautiful out but it's also very sunny we're going to go inside to this one store called bookoff plus so bookoff in Japan is a second half shop it's very popular in Japan they have a lot of different items such as clothes books Comics also CDs and also movies another important thing that they do have is a lot of anime stuff as well specifically like Pokémon cards Yu-Gi-Oh cards they have a lot of manga as well a lot of anime and it's at a very very very cheap price too so we're going to go check it out we're going to see if these prices would be worth it if you guys would buy it and we're just going to go check it out because this is a very popular store in wo with a lot of anime items as well all right let's head [Music] in we are [Music] Liv [Music] inform all right so just right off the bat we actually actually did manage to find some interesting figurines here at bookoff so this is I think the only section that they have for figurines what we have here so far so we have a lot of different anime we have some oh we have this Bondi NCO Destiny impulse Gundam figurine over here and the price of it would be about 9,000 Yen which is in from what I remember a lot cheaper than some of the sh figure art one piece figurines that we recently got I think our last one was law and law was about 13,000 Yen if I remember correctly and we also see oh look at that we also see VI in the back there it's not a figure art but it is a figurine of Vive she is around 3,300 Yen and next to Vivie is for all you Dragon Ball fans we got Broly there and he's a little bit more expensive than viie about 5,000 yen I'm trying to see who else is here oh my God we also have from not sale so I don't know why they're here then but yeah it just says not for sale so we got some Pokémon figurines over here and we have a Gojo not for sale too which is so interesting it's like then why are you showcasing him probably to just show him off I also love I think this is so cute look back here we have Nami in the back here we have two different namis and different kimonos she looks like she's fighting too which is really adorable we have a Blue Nami and we have a red Nami both the same prices so both of them cost each 3,000 yen I think I would go for the blue one I think actually no I changed my mind I would probably go for the red one I think red is more of nami's color blue is just my favorite color but red I think looks better on NAMI but let me know in the comments below which one would you pick the blue one or the red one we also have Gohan down here as well just like Broly he's about 5,000 yen and and I'm trying to see what else we have oh we also got some huge huge figurines too we got this Mima figurine he's from my hero Academia roughly around 20 20,000 yen I think that's too expensive actually that's actually really surprising to me cuz I was thinking he wouldn't be as expensive I know he's big he's like he's a big figurine but I was probably expecting more like 15,000 G or like less than that it's almost like he's never been open before Oh my God we also have another knot for sale this is for Goku over here long hair Goku don't understand why he's not for sale don't understand why he's being displayed and I'm also looking around there seems to be a lot of unopened boxes just like meta but I don't really know these animes behind here but they are roughly at a pretty expensive price we have some that are 16,000 Yen some that are 11,000 Yen we also have some up here I don't really know these anime please let me know in the comments below we have one that's 15,000 and we have another one that's 11,000 and we also have spyx family we also have spyx family Anya she looks unopened she is around 4,200 Yen but it's so cute it's really cute oh and another one if you're a big uh Disney fan they also have a little mermaid one too up here 400 Yen probably the cheapest one we saw so far all right guys so that's for this little area now let's check out the other places [Music] too wow so I'm actually pretty impressed there do seem to be a lot of boxes that are unopen that are being sold once again but at a pretty cheaper price we have a lot of little fun fact about me um I'm not the big my hero Academia fan so my camera woman maumi she was telling me my face changed when I saw meoa before NY why are you laughing I see the hate yes feel the I hate him expensive why so expensive and it's true I don't like my hero Academia so much I'm happy to talk about it I've seen it but it's not one of my favorite animes we have bakugo and we have Shota uh they're roughly the same price except for this bakugo right here from what I understand they're all made by Bondi but these two I think are in a series and then this one might be a separate series a little bit bigger and they're all unopened however if you do look around there are some boxes that do have this red kanji written on it so I don't know exactly the name of the kanji or what it says but it basically means that it was already open and that they repackaged it again so there are some boxes like this one this is I think an anime called all out I'm like looking at it more closely I don't know this anime but the guy's face is so scary and kind of weird has anyone seen this anime this man has a nice ass oh my God yeah he has a nice butt right here now I'm more Curious please let me know this is an anime worth watching cuz I do like Sports Anime a [Music] lot we also have of course I'm surprised this hasn't been open and I'm also surprised this is only 1,000 yen this is actually kind of interesting um I don't know where this one's from Hollow live is this an anime all right let's put that back we we also have two I'm going to go up here hug s Naruto also by Bondi 6,000 Yen I actually kind of like this a lot this is a very iconic Naruto stance I really like it wait a minute wait a minute I think I saw this before I remember so normally every year in akih Haba there's basically like this little figurines convention like for figure arts and everything from tamashi Nations and for Bondi and I think they had something similar I remember seeing a similar picture like this they were advertising it but this is also really nice too only 6,000 Yen I think this is a pretty good price for a huge Naruto piece I mean I think this is more reasonable than the it's better than the 20,000 midoria figure all right here's the next little section too that they have at bookof my personal favorite Pokemon so they have a lot of Pokémon cards here and at a pretty cheap price too there's like some really nice ones for about 2 55 Yen like roughly between 200 to 300 or 400 Yen I'm trying to look to see if there's any rare kinds of Pokémon cards from what I can tell so far nothing really but pretty good price let me see which one's the most expensive I'm trying why is the beof 4,37 Yen oh sorry what's his name again bat bat it's like the evolution of be but why is this one but it's just funny seeing that because I feel feel like they made it expensive because it's like a meme to train beof honestly I'm trying to say any anywhere else let's see but still like same pricing of course 7 oh wow oh wow wow this one ooh the Greninja wow that one is really expensive too not as expensive as the other one but this one is like so colorful wow wow these are really oh my God yes oh my God these are my f used to collect Pokémon cards like these back then when I was back in high school oh my God I mean some of the Pokémon I don't know especially like they kind of change color I think most of them are all shinies but I just remember seeing the little element symbols and I just remember getting like I would just like organize them by color and by just like the symbol it would be like okay purple goes here which is psychic dark goes here which is dark uh silver goes here for steel yellow goes here for electricity like I just remember like I had like a whole binder of Pokémon cards and I would just organize them by color the type levels it would be from like level one to like level um like 70 or something for like a like a pH or like a 100 oh my God this like Nashi this is like bringing up some childhood memories for me wow it seems like that you can also get some really cheap ones too like one for 33 Yen that's pretty cheap like this one is pretty cheap so I think these in the cases they're a little bit more pricey but these are like more of the cheap ones uh I won't go through all of them to find my favorite Pokémon I will admit though it's not as organized as I would like it to be I think if I was working here I would probably organize it like how I organize it in my binder all right so that is it for some of the Pokémon stuff that we found I also on the snort laxx too there also seems to be a lot of little stuffed animals for sale as well all right so last place I really wanted to show you guys because I'm very passionate about this I love anime but I also have a huge love for manga too so in book off there's also just a huge section of manga as well so they range from like so if we come here so come closer come closer look at this I want to show you guys they have a lot of one piece from around here they have a lot of spikes family uh bleach also Naruto maybe not everything but just like some older kind of like style of the manga and it's all in Japanese of course so this is an english- speaking Channel but I do find it very like nostalgic and authentic just seeing these like older mangas cuz I used to read some of these when I was in Middle School and High School too especially one of my favorite ones if you guys know I used to read a lot of kokono basket especially online and just seeing it book form cuz I don't see it in book form when I went to the Barnes & Nobles in America I never saw this paperback because it wasn't popular at the time so it just feels really nostalgic to me just seeing this stuff so they also have so many other different mangas from classics they also have a lot of kind of like interesting ones that I've never seen before but I just thought this was like just a very interesting section I really wanted to show you guys if you are interested and if you also want to learn Japanese too cuz like I said they have no English but but I'm learning Japanese and this is also just another helpful way for me to learn Japanese too so that's going to be it for today guys so that
