I think it will depend on the episode and the people working on it. I think the episodes with Cary Fukunaga and Adam Arkapaw will definitely be great in terms of cinematography. If you look at some of Adam’s work you will see what I mean, especially in True Detective. Either way no matter who’s directing it, I’m sure they will be heavily influenced by Hanks/Spielberg work and sort of stay within their vision of things.
I personally like that they bring new people to the table with new ideas and awesome talent.
All I hope is that use of CGI is done respectfully and tastefully (like the BoB scene above). I'll be very sad if it turns into something like Red Tails.
