We Minthara fans must stand the ground and ask for her content to be restored. Swen Vincke said they will look at feedback after Patch 2 and if needed will add extra content for her in a future.

Hey everyone. I'm the one behind the Daughter of Lolth mod and the upcoming mod for naturally recruiting her. I have spent hours and hours working bg3se and going through game files, goals, and scripts to try and make a better (subjectively) Minthara experience.

I determined quite a bit ago that even if you set the flags for Minthara's dating cutscene to start - it still wouldn't start. When I was reading the IGN interview today - I noticed that they said it had worked in an earlier version and that got me thinking.

When the game calls a cutscene (like dialog) it'll have some kind of call or query where it supplies a dialog file, and the IDs of whoever is involved in it. I went through and found the unique identifier for the dialog branch that held this content from an older patch, and was to supply that to the dialog engine and nothing happened. Almost. The game looked like it tried to initiate conversation, so I started messing around with setting/unsetting flags, long rests, leaving camp and going back all the while passing this dialog start request at every opportunity.

And then it happened. For no rhyme or reason I could determine.

Even on the same save file I've only been able to get it to start maybe 1 out of 10 times. But - if you're curious or skeptical about Patch 2 - here is Minthara realizing she wants a future with you.

This makes me excited to see everything else for her. Who knew best girl was locked away, and to get her you had to side with gobbos. I did. I knew that.

I really want to have a run with Minthara as a companion. It'd be nice to have a paladin and she seems incredibly forthright and logical. I really want to see more of her.
