BAD CHOICE? - Samsung Galaxy A55 5G vs Galaxy A35 5G

today we're comparing the new Galaxy A35 5G and the new a55 5G which was just released by Samsung these two are probably as close as you can get to being identical twins but which one is the better option well let's talk about [Music] it pricing on these two are really close the Galaxy A35 starts at just under $400 around 370 versus just under 450 for the Galaxy a55 5G so about $70 to $80 difference for the base models both versions I have here are 6 GB of RAM with 128 GB of storage but you also have the option of 256 GB of storage plus one advantage for the a55 is I believe there's an option to get 12 GB of RAM where the highest amount for the A35 is 8 GB you get the same size 6.6 in Super AMOLED display on both phones with up to 120 HZ refresh rate and both are IP67 dust and water resistant build quality is very similar you have more of a matte finish around the edges on the A35 but they really do feel like the same size even if they're off by a tenth of a millimeter or so the shape is almost identical also the Galaxy a55 is a few G heavier but they do feel like you're using the same phone and I wouldn't be surprised if you could use the same cases now both of these have a 5,000 mAh battery and when I ran my typical battery drain test the A35 lasted 13 hours versus about 14 hours for the a55 so plenty of power to last a couple days with mixed usage especially if you turn the screen brightness down so according to that the a55 has a little better battery life but there's so many variables that you really can't go wrong with either one there's no wireless charging with either one but you do get the same 25 W wired charging for both phon phones software wise you won't get a closer comparison than between these two considering they're both on Android 14 one UI 6.1 as of this video they both have Google discover or Samsung free left of the home screen you've got the edge panel over to the side they both have the new notification shade and shortcuts really the only difference I noticed is they put Samsung TV on the a55 but not on the a34 not really sure why but when using these two phones you're going to get this same software experience regardless of which one you go with and then as far as software updates I believe you get 4year software 5year security updates which may not be 7 years like the s24 series but still much better than most other phones in this category performance-wise the a55 is going to be a little better overall as you can see here by the single and multi-core scores the biggest Advantage for the a55 is going to be the GPU score at around 4,000 versus only 3,000 000 for the A35 I don't think you'll notice a huge difference just moving around the software or when doing most day-to-day things gaming on these two are very similar as well when testing out games like pubg mobile and Asphalt 9 I wouldn't recommend going up to the ultra settings because I had some glitches on the a55 but as long as you leave it on the default settings I don't think you can go wrong with either one but if you want the phone with slightly better performance you'll want to go with the Galaxy a55 when it comes to speakers I don't think you can get closer than these two phones in fact I wouldn't be surprised if they're using the same exact Parts not going to be the loudest out there but they do sound loud enough here's a quick sample of each just to see if you can tell a difference blue eyes Fade to gray as you Fade Away hurts to watch your blue eyes Fade to gray as you fade away yeah as you fade [Music] away as you fade away as you fade when it comes to the cameras you get slightly better resolution on the a55 but both phones have a 50 megapixel wide angle lens on the back and they both have a 5 megapix macro lens then you have a 12 megapixel Ultra wide on the a55 versus a 8 megapix Ultra wide on the A35 you get a higher resolution front-facing camera with the a55 at 32 maps versus 13 maps with the A35 you can also shoot up to 4K 30 frames per second for video recording on both even though the a55 has better resolution I feel like these are so close you can't really go wrong with either one but hopefully this video was somewhat helpful and trying to see what the differences are the a55 might be a tad better in a couple categories but again I feel like these two are about as close as you can get to being identical twins and it's sort of confusing why you would build both phones but if you like phone and tablet comparisons I've got a lot more that I'm working on so you'll want to keep an eye out for those upcoming [Music] [Music] [Music] videos [Music] [Music] so [Music] he so if you've made it this far into the video you may want to say thanks by subscribing and don't forget to give a thumbs up if this video was helpful this is Brian from fishby Productions thanks for watching and I'll see you on the next one [Music] m
