what is going on guys it is lexi i'm in a rush anything new no oh my gosh i can't even film an intro right what's going on guys it's lexi welcome back to my channel [Music] today is the start of my back to school series this back to school series this year is going to be really special because i'm not going back to high school i am going to college so to kick off our back to school series i am going to be going school supply shopping they already put the stuff out like the at target the little section for school supplies they already put it out there i saw it the other day i am going early but i wanted the back to school series to be in july because if it's in august everybody will have already started school so there'd be no reason to get excited for school with the back to school series okay okay so i'm kind of in a rush right now so i'm about to leave the house i am going to grab a sweater just because i'm wearing like a cropped tank top i don't know i just want a sweater okay shut up i put it in the dryer and i washed it because girl it was dirty oh gosh it smells really good it's so hot though it just came out the dryer so i'm not gonna put it on right now all right guys so there was a little change of plans from when i first started filming so it's a little later and i'm actually here with my dad now we're at target which is where i always get my school supplies from but it's gonna be different i have a different plan for buying school supplies because every single year i buy too much school supplies and um i think i've just been so confused because every year is different sometimes they do four four classes a semester kind of year and you have block schedule all the years i've done eight classes a day so it's pretty weird but this is college now so i i i don't even know how many colleges how many classes i'm gonna have do you not have your schedule already i do so how do you not know how many classes you're gonna have did you read it we'll check that out before i buy my what is so funny because you didn't even read your schedule your college schedule i trust the process okay i have a pretty good idea okay anyways so we're here at target and we're gonna buy all the stuff i need i love school supply shopping but i hate school weird how that works all right off to school supplies so this is the target we come to every single year so pretty much know exactly where i'm going speaking of back to school i'm gonna need a jbl flip 5. i wanted the flip 5 though heard it's really good there's a big difference actually 12 hour play time as opposed to like not 12 hours you gotta understand the vision the vision is apple tv projector bad speakers but this can connect to the apple tv so that's the vision you know how many hours does yours have not 12 it doesn't stay charged that's my only problem well duh dang but i have to live there and i'm not going to be doing college all the time oh my gosh look what i don't need this year because i'm not taking math because i took all my maths already except for like principles of accounting so i guess i do need one you took accounting dad no i just asked you that i have enough calculators i'm sure i can find one yeah you should pack the one somewhere i do have it oh my gosh look how cute if only that is the cutest wouldn't these be so cute in my dorm room wouldn't they yes i'm asking you you're the only one here okay guys so we're in the uh school supplies section and of course i don't really have a list i'm just going to use my eyes and brain every year i like to have a theme this year i'm going to college and my theme is like my room decor is navy blue so we're going to go with navy blue as the theme i feel like it'd be a bad idea to get all one color because i might take the wrong notebook to the wrong class these are my favorite pens i love these pens second favorite pens my best friend in high school was white out i love you want to get through i know i just talked about not wanting to overdo it because i over do it with school supplies every year white out is different white out gets an acceptance so to keep i want to go blue just do 5. i really should probably know my classes don't sister um already graduated college so i asked her for some tips on what she used most and she said sticky i mean not sticky index cards because she there's a lot of memorization if you guys don't know i'm majoring in business [Music] i want to buy crayons and you do not need crayons for college it's not just for college i like the color jumbo bro skin tone markers this is a game changer there was never skin tone oh i just used brown or tan [Music] i keep half inch binders are you kidding me i can't stand when they're sober [Music] so yeah i'm going to college oh scissors i don't want kid scissors [Music] this is so big i just can't justify needing a backpack who's big i'm all about one pocket jam square backpacks not 100 pockets i do know i want a black dance for it though now we're talking so this is much more my style it's literally one pocket look too this is kind of the more fun stuff this is office supplies yeah but you need all the supplies thank you i want somebody to get binder clips oh look at these little succulents they're so cute anyways she told me to get binder clips and like basically all this stuff but i want to match my room these are a bomb oh come here i'm gonna need so many commands i don't even really want to try my luck with agendas i think i've given up on the whole agenda thing of never buying another agenda against the biggest waste of money ever i probably get to like august 21st maybe i've never been good at agendas though so i don't blame myself okay i need a stapler scissors and um tape but i want like a set in either white or blue so let's keep going yo we went from so excited to decorate our lockers to decorating dorm rooms what the what is that what that is so crazy because i really remember being so excited to decorate my locker okay so that's blue it's just ugly our stapler is supposed to be pretty though scissors don't matter eleven dollars when you could get two for six ninety duh because these binder clips will work i wanna take dispenser there's like a set there's like sets and they're all matching oh staples every school surprise we go to staples so you know i have to go to staples because it's mandatory i'm not gonna get this for this because i want to find a set got my checklist this is their like college dorm area it's kind of trash not gonna lie but these things are cool totally very handy i would probably get one in white or black probably black but that's not this video this is school supplies [Music] this is the i was mostly quietest this is the smallest shopping i've ever done but like i said i overdo it every time without fail it's a shame truly alright so now we are at staples and i always like to come to staples too just because they have good stuff here too i know it's an office superstore and i guess people kind of like to decorate their offices and you know have matching sets of stuff so that's why i like to go to staples and um here's a see what they got so uh let's go [Music] they have a lot of pens mild liners okay so here's some things i've completely just given up on because i don't know what's the point in trying to be something i'm not so agendas we're done with that color coordinated notes we're done with that too write down what write down the information and go back why does it have to be color-coded and pretty no doesn't work for me now to all the people who can keep agendas and color coordinated notes i like the way your brain works but for me yeah not so much okay oh my gosh no ever pulling it see that's cute she's gonna find a set should i be looking here i should say that for the dorm like room this kind of stuff [Music] [Music] you guys know command hooks are about to be my best friend in college because can't really do anything i'm only getting these though because i know i can find these everywhere else but i've never seen these they're pretty cool but i know all this other stuff i can probably find [Music] i believe it was from here i'm always scared to do this kind of shopping without my mom not because i think i can't shop mommy told me to get some i forgot when we're in target she said to get one with surge protector what they're all going to have is protector though if there's a power spike it won't ruin your um whatever you have plugged into it that's true but i need like the long ones just look at the length of the cord it'll tell you eight feet i know all right so i don't know why it took us so long to find this but we found it so i want to go with this pop-in brand um and i just have like a whole set of things you can buy and of course i want the scissors because look how cool they are so we'll just have to take the other changes back um they have navy of this could i mix and match would that be cool if i missed it's the right color this is exactly what i came here for i think we found it i'm just looking to make sure that's everything they have these paper trees maybe we'll go with one of these this one comes in a pack of two should i do white in this or should i do blue either way or should we do blue all right can't decide so not getting easier fans let's go that we got mom [Music] all right you guys so i'm back home i have everything here and it is so weird to not see like a wrapped load of stuff here because like i said earlier in the video every time i go school supply shopping i get so much stuff more than i need and i actually have stuff left over from last year so i got what i needed and i left what i didn't need at the store so that i don't waste my money like i do every year so i'm going to show you guys everything i got in detail so you guys can see what i'm taking with me to start my freshman year in college why do i keep clapping my hands alright so like i said in the store i am going with the themes navy blue and white because that is gonna be my dorm theme so we'll start with these right here i got five of these notebooks i am taking six classes and i did just figure that out when i got home but i think with what i got i'll be just fine so i got five of these blue college ruled notebook looking back i could have got blue and white but i didn't think about it at the time but this is still cool the next thing i got were some pockets some pockets some pocket portfolios basically some folders i got two white and two blue i think these would be great to put in a binder just to keep things organized and not be all over the place this year i gotta stop tricking myself to be in the mindset that i'm gonna be the most organized follow an agenda all of that stuff because i never do that and i need to stop trying we have sheet protectors i love these i can literally find a reason to use these all the time one of my favorite school supplies ever i don't know why i'm just so addicted to these but they basically just keep your paper safe if you have important papers they're good for projects too i haven't done a project and had to use these in a long time though but back in the day in like middle school these were great and they're still great next up we have some index dividers so these are just binder dividers and this is in high school so there won't be like a different divider for each class you know what i'm saying so um i don't know okay i just bought it i might use it i might not i have three packs of college ruled reinforced paper reinforced just means it has that thing along the side so it doesn't rip out of the binders and whatnot but um i got three packs i literally normally get like six i don't use that much paper especially now a lot of stuff a lot of things are online especially going to college my main school supply is going to be my computer like no doubt so what i should have got was a computer case but i'm sure i have my mind around here that i can find i look you want one that matches my room though so i might buy one oh next up we got some binders again following the theme of my room they are just white and blue but what i ended up doing i got two one inch binders i absolutely hate binders i've never really liked binders they're so darn big and they just get on my nerves why do you need a whole inch like what are you doing i i don't know how much these will come in handy but just in case you know you never know so i didn't get six i got four and these are one inch binders i mean one half inch binder so this isn't even an inch and these honestly are my favorite binders because first of all why do you need more than one inch if you're one of those four inch binders all your classes go into one binder kind of person cool do you definitely not me though so i have two half inch binders because i think they look better they're they're smaller so they're easier to carry around and i absolutely just cannot stand the fact of one inch binders i don't know it's always that's always been a thing like wire binders so big next up so i kind of got things a little confused these are from staples this is black and white damage free hanging command um i don't know what to call these they're like little i guess they're like big uh cloves clothespins yeah so they're kind of like clothes pins but they're huge and you can just hang stuff on them i think these would be great for hanging like say my schedule if i want to put a weekly schedule up on my wall or even like some cool prints i think these would be cool to hang them on um literally you can hang anything on them and they don't damage the wall so yeah this is what i got i got this from staples that's more of like my dorm room kind of stuff it's not really school supplies but i figured i'd show you since i picked it up because i saw it anyways so yeah we have of course i got the that is papermate enjoy pens that i could find um what really made me want to buy these was the three times faster drawing i i smear my work all the time i don't know how left hand people don't smear their work i feel like they do like smear i smear my work all the time with gel pens so this one says for reduced smudging and also i love all the pretty colors and i just i just have to have them okay and because i got 22 of those pens i only got one pack of my absolute favorite pens ever i've never written with a pen that is any better than this so this is sharpie's pen it's .7 but it's dear s gel i don't even know why pens are so cool but this one is really nice apparently it's experience a high performance gel pen it's a cool pen i can't lie it makes me want to write next up we got two packs of white out because whiteout was my best friend in high school always always made mistakes that i had to fix but it's so weird because towards the end of high school i stopped turning in paper and i started turning in like documents online you know what i probably didn't need two of these because i'll probably still be turning documents in online whatever though i love white out then i have a 26 pack of vic mechanical pencils this one wasn't actually expensive i got an expensive pack too i was gonna get like the super big pack of these big pencils but i wanted to have the bougie pencils that i got i don't know where they are but they're bougie mechanical pencils when we get to them i'll show you um but yeah these are still these are my second favorite mechanical pencils these are the not expensive ones that are still great they have some like cheapo ones that i absolutely hate i can think of them now breaking in my hand i hate cheap mechanical pencils like give me a wooden pencil if your mechanical pencil is cheap i don't want it next up i got post-its oh my gosh post-its i can see myself now hanging these right all over my all over my dorm if i forget things or whatever i have pink orange yellow purple blue and green um i had to get every color because it just felt not right not getting anywhere so we have every color i probably won't use my mind you know but i got some post-it notes i i actually do well with post-it notes i'm learning what i do well with and what i don't do well with i think i'm mainly learning what i don't do well with so it's nice to know that i do well with poster notes next up i have this pencil case it is in this blue color um it's just a jelly zip pouch and this is just to hold some pencils from class to class oh class the class at least i'll be in college anyways we also got this water bottle i didn't even really need a water bottle but it's blue i had to get it so next this is mainly the staple stuff we'll go here oh this is taking stuff all right where's my bougie pencils because i know they're in here so much oh here we go okay so now it's time for my bougie pencils for some reason these pencils are so darn expensive they cost so much money but this is a six pack but these pencils are great i love these pencils if you give me this pencil i could write you a six page essay on paper with a pencil these pencils are great i love these pencils promise i lose them so much we'll see if i can have any of these till the end of the year highly doubt it but who knows i got this ruler it's wooden i need it i also got some index cards i got these post-it notes as well because i saw them and they they i wanted to buy them because they have lines on them don't know if i needed them but i wanted them we have some rolled index cards here i missed when everything wasn't on technology on the internet it was so much more fun to study but these are some index cards i also got a big pack just because you never know i got these highlighters which i'm kind of excited about um this is a 10 pack of mini highlighters and they're mini and there's 10 of them i got some markers i wanted some crayons but i couldn't find any so we just have markers these are crayola regular markers don't know when i'll ever use these but you never know like i find myself using markers here at home so i figured uh college i got some binder clips i don't even know what people use or paper clips like just stick legend all right so now from staples i got this is also kind of not as not really school supplies more dorm essentials this is definitely going to be essential and essential in college because i've already seen my dorm room i've been there a couple of times i know exactly what it looks like and there's like two no it's like two outlets maybe three outlets and with the amount of stuff i'm gonna have my computer my refrigerator my phone everything i'm gonna have i'm gonna need some of these bad boys so this is a desktop surge protector outlet it's four ac outlets and four usbs and this it has surge protector on it so if anything goes wrong you'll be straight and i thought this was cool because it was eight feet and that's pretty long i also got this one because i do have outlets that are across the room so i got this one too one of these this one will probably be from like my fridge my microwave that kind of stuff um this is six outlets this is six feet and it is also a surge protection now for kind of the main reason i went to staples because i just i wanted a stapler ironic i wanted a stapler but i wanted one that kind of matched and wasn't ugly and black and just like normal and plain so we got a white one um where's my stapler oh here it is i got this stapler it's just white um pretty normal stapler but i got matching scissors look how awesome these look these look all right so my camera battery just died i think i was talking about these little medieval scissors they look cool they look like they can really get the cutting done okay i got these matching pens i knew i didn't need them i know i have 100 pens but they matched and i had to get there's just six of them they're ballpoint pens and they're pretty normal they just kind of match everything else i also got these thumbtacks because i'm probably gonna have a cork board there maybe and if i do i'm gonna have to stick stuff in it so we got those and then i got this little um tray with a pencil holder and a holder for other things on this tray and it's in blue it's not the right shade of blue like this should be more like this shade but whatever blue is blue and i think it's pretty cool so i got it anyways i think that's it for all of my school supplies um this will be everything i need hopefully for the whole year i might have to go back i usually make another trip of like kind of just refills in like december so for christmas break i like to come back in january with fresh supplies it just kind of gets me
