Avocado Hass Hillside Planting

hi this is Chris from grill quest and today we're planting avocados on a hillside well actually most of the plantings been done they got the first ten trees in here now you can see all very good sized trees but watering on a hillside like this with big trees can be a problem you can see made very nice planter terraces here for the trees but it was left alone the trees would dry out the leaves that fall off here and there it's really not an easy way to water the trees on the hillside when they're big then you must have as usual a four-inch perforated drain pipe put it to the back of the tree and against the hillside about 30 inches deep you can see all the water that can begin to accumulate back here the water will begin to fill up the root ball from the bottom up get this whole area saturated if you were just to put a mini sprinkler on the top back here the root ball down below would never get wet and the leaves they begin to fall off yeah I might not get naked but you might only have half as many leaves and since this is January missed the flowering cycle for this year you can see the degree of the slope here now pretty steep so you can very important get the tubing in behind the trees and to get them watered also the soil is nice and wet now you don't want to lose that moisture and have to reef we get that call it soil wet again so cut a little short how to to take care of watering avocados or any tree on a hillside that tubing in the back make that basin
