The anthem tune of 2011, may he rest in peace. Fuck this shit man, I cannot believe Tim has passed away. This guy had a major influence upon the dance and pop industry for the last several years, from anthem house to country-dance pop. He caught the ears of many around the world.
One of the catchiest dance songs ever. Rest in peace.
I think this may have been the song that got me interested in electronic music all those years ago... Rest in peace Tim
Hearing about both his drug problems and his death on 4/20 seems like some kind of bizarre and horrifying April Fools joke.
A lgendary track, and I can see why it was overplayed back then. It's one of the key EDM songs that pushed the genre into mainstream especially in the US, and it even inspired Flo Rida to make a track "Good Feeling". Regardless of how it was, this track is right there as one of the modern EDM classics, along with Avicii's Wake Me Up, which showed that country/soul and EDM can be a perfect pair
Such a good song. I remember listening to his Essential Mix in 2010. In there was a small snippet of a song that I thought was amazing. For some time, it was only named ID. Almost a year later, it came out as Levels and it got played everywhere. So much that I kind of got enough of it.
Actually, I like the original instrumental snippet the most: https://youtu.be/PD_S701suUQ
This song changed the way I looked at electronic music and played a huge part in my adoption. Played in non-stop in college. RIP Tim, you will be missed.
I remember when a coworker was like, "you should check out this guy avicii"
"huh ok, I'll check em out... holy shit everything is gold"
Still remember finding it on youtube with less than 1 million views and no music video and then suddenly blew up much later
