hey what's up everybody so y'all today's video I'm making none other than my Maryland style crab shrimp and bacon dip y'all let's just get right into it so y'all these are all of the ingredients right here yes it looks like it's a lot and it kind of is I mean there are a lot of things going on in this crab dip oh crab shrimp and bacon dip but you have to add all of these things in it to make it really really special and to make it taste just really authentic okay you want to really get the best flavor possible out of this because you're going to spend a little bit of time mixing everything together so just why not make sure that you have all the things you need just to make sure that this stuff right here is really authentic Maryland style and just the best crab shrimp and bacon dip you've ever had so I'm gonna go through everything in a little bit more detail later on but first i'm just gonna cook my shrimp so I got some frozen peeled into vein shrimp about 12 ounces of that and I'm just going to cook it on the stove until it just Cooks all the way through so you can buy shrimp that's already cooked you and you know just add that in there and if you have larger shrimp just make sure that you kind of like cut it into bite-sized pieces all right so the shrimp is done just gonna let it cool for a little bit but now I'm going to go in with basically the base of this dip which is some softened cream cheese make sure that you set the cream cheese out for about maybe an hour and a half to two hours before you really want to use it so it can kind of come up to room temperature but if not you can just you can definitely just put in the microwave for about 30 seconds or so and it should be pretty good sit down if you want to go with a little bit of mayo a little bit of sour cream check that description box because I'll definitely list everything in the description box on this video because it's a whole lot of ingredients as we saw so yeah going with some pepper going to go in with a little bit of Worcestershire sauce um after that I'm going to go in with a little bit more stuff so some parsley a little bit of chopped garlic some scallions um what else do I have up in this thing I got some paprika that's really just a color you already know paprika really doesn't do anything at all just gives you some color I'm gonna go in with some hot sauce I have the Texas Pete hotter than hot I think it's called hot sauce going in with a little bit of mustard that's some spicy hot dog mustard good then I'm also going to go in with a little bit of obey definitely cannot forget that and to really amp this up I'm going in with some bacon about two uh slices of bacon that I that I kind of just finely sliced up and then juice from a half of a lemon so I mixed all of that stuff up together and it's important to mix everything up at this stage in the game you can add the cheese first and then mix stuff up but it's important to add all of this stuff before you add in the especially the crab meat because you don't really you don't really want to break up the crab meat especially if you have like the jumbo lump crab meat you want to keep it in those relatively big kind of like lumps is that what they're called do we do do we call them lumps I don't know but um so yeah here's my crab meat I just have just lump crab meat not jumbo lump as you can see and that's a 16 ounce can of that I like the juice I like everything to go up in there so you know if you want to strain the juice out I don't know why you would want to do that but you can you can go right ahead and do that so I'm adding the crab meat then you want to just fold that in gently I forgot to add in my sugar definitely add that sugar in there because it definitely balances out all of the flavors we have in there and he kind of like it doesn't really make it sweet at all it just really makes everything taste nice and balanced then I'm going to go in with all of that cooked shrimp and I actually seasoned the shrimp very very lightly with about a half a teaspoon of obey make sure we make sure we season every component of the dish you don't really got to season the crab because the crab already has like that natural kind of salinity to it so yeah and then mix everything all up together place it in my shallow casserole dish and after that I just like to smooth out the top just to make sure that everything is nice and sort of level so you know things don't really start cooking on one side a little bit quicker than the other side and y'all I'm just going to top it all off with a little bit more of that mozzarella cheese as well as some of that colby jack cheese that I had and then after that y'all it's really just all about putting this stuff in the oven but before that I like to sprinkle with a little bit of Old Bay just to make it you know just to make it more festive and just you know that's a little bit of flavor on the top of it so then place it in your 350 degrees oven for about 20 25 minutes or so until the top is nice and golden brown and nice and bubbly you can also like for the last couple of minutes or so like literally like the last minute a minute or two minutes you can uh turn the turn into Royal so the top can get nice and uh you know bubbly and you know just really really ooey gooey so y'all this is pretty much what that crab shrimp and bacon dip is looking like so yeah you already know I have to dig into this stuff so y'all can see that nice cheese pool hold up hold on wait a second I got another one coming I got another one coming y'all look at this y'all this was so so so good so so cheesy and I forgot to mention that I just sliced up a regular old French baguette that you can get from the grocery store I just sliced it up what about um you know about half an inch thick place it in the oven 350 degrees for about 12 to 15 minutes brought it out the oven trying to put a little bit Old Bay on the top and y'all you have the perfect dipping bread for this crab shrimp and bacon dip y'all I promise you you have to try this one out let me know down below what you think of it all right that's all I have for y'all
