The Phil Hartman audition was so nice to see and ending the segment with Gilda's audition got me.
I loved all of these, but I do hope they do release the full audition tapes because I'd love to see more of Jim Carrey. A few years ago, Kevin Hart mentioned that he auditioned in his monologue, I didn't realize that he was actually telling the truth about that!
Crazy to think of the alternate reality where Colbert joins the cast. No Daily Show, no Colbert report, no Late Show. May have been the best career move that never happened.
I was surprised that Hammond's Bill Clinton predated SNL. For some reason I thought I remembered him telling a story about coming up with it with one of the writers.
