$50 in a dream you can have yourself a hot rod yeah the hemmies are out back oh I seen those we ventured to Wellington Kansas and tucked in this otherwise unassuming backyard is quite the horde of pre-war Ford vehicles and parts and there's supposed to be a tractor tucked in there somewhere a lot of this stuff just been packed away for many many decades the Old South Wind gas heaters there are body parts and mechanical Parts like you wouldn't believe back in here those are kind of cool I've saved a few of these hoping to find matches to make pairs but I don't think they match mine reproduction tin Harley these might be Originals it's kind of a neat little home built two [Music] carb those are West German fascinating these are pretty cool even if you didn't have the engine to put it on it'd be a neat wall hanger he told me April when I talked to first time we St by day well we went by was going this is pretty cool old tire changer made from a axle tube it's got a neat folk art appearance functionality some old speed parts we got Hemi exhaust manifolds might be a Hemi hiding somewhere in the place just kind of built little sheds and places to hide stuff out here in the town this is kind of cool folk art piece door M us part of the shed that kind of gives me ideas may not be huge retail value in a lot of what's here but always got to look some of these boxes there's Little Gems hiding here and there this is kind of cool little dock and boot scraper cast aluminum steering wheel collection every one of these could tell a story old side mount cover the key collection those could tell stories too old Ford wrenches one Ford wrench this is the what's a corner I actually know exactly what it is power glide transmission cooler morning Kim good morning you made it yes sir you didn't make it yesterday I sorry no that's no problem magazine [Music] guy Up's you must yeah we come in the back didn't know well there ain't but we made all right 62 Falcon this is the shop where all the action happened there's a lathe that's pretty cool old painting everybody's researching market research mark market research there you go you need that for your 69 Road Runner uh sold it sold it yep that's what I do I buy buy high and sell low to keep my friends happy uh-huh I tried it but it didn't seem to buy me any favor yeah more multiple carburation drive-in movie speaker these little blower cases those are like Aviation I think aren't they yeah I searched them I can't find any that's what they appear to be to me I do want those small Chevy blower cases are outside yeah give it a whirl license plate collection generally if I need a plate I just buy them from the guys at the swap meat seld them getting too much of a big hurry to buy them at auctions this thing's pretty cool always had a dream of making one of these into a belt buckle that thing ought to be out of here that's a dangerous oh or at least put it over by the engines table little sheds filled up with pieces and parts and items torque thrust stms tiny little skid load thing looks like you could get a couple guys and tip it over I'm sure it's heavier than it looks big collection of 40 Ford parts got the little model a cab a lot of these they would take four-door bodies and just cut them down 56 Ford grills more 40 Parts Chrysler power seat moldings you think if you want to attack them on the back of that parts and pieces pieces and parts it's cool old wood toolbox ever I see one of these I think of Walter P Chrysler's railroad toolbox shortly after he transitioned to Automotive career and the rest was history 327 earlier ones of these like 64 and older they're worth a little more because the Corvette guys buy them cuz they're not Vin stamped yet might have a couple hems here there they be see electrical parts quite the mix of everything I think I spot Vehicles there we go the stomp she the wood C AB truck model a sedan this would be 1930 or 31 and when they built these there were Ford body Murray body and a Briggs body and this one is what's known as the slant windshield you can see there got the curved door Toops All Steel body of course that was the one advantage over GM cars Hi how are you like a real on the earlier ones the 28 and 29 there are a lot more differences between the breggs and the Murray and the Ford but they had the idea of standardization as they went along and so from what you see here it's kind of hard to tell which it is consider this older restoration very well done and with learon Bonnie being out of business you're upholstery is a lot harder to come by than it used to be and so the value in an older restoration against a project that needs an interior this one you've got a lot more going for you having good upholstery in it I would imagine probably pretty stale in here give it a sniff not so good see conf figure good bit of effort to get that thing back rehabbed the old Chevrolet the wood cab something like this just kind of a hard cell super neat but the amount of people to take it on be a little hard to find that is definitely a composite body a running te in this condition is probably 8,000 at the top top but I've seen them bring four so a truck like this realistically 800 to 1,000 bucks this would be pretty cool to put up on the display wall kind of a neat vintage compressor I see the slight windshield a got taped off so figure on that one not selling worked on a lot of cars bought and sold and built and there's some of the fruits of those labors and efforts a wellknown name of customizing of it off good look at [Music] so this little 40 truck taped off off 450 oh yeah [Music] still haven't found the tractor yet so going to take a little look and attempt to find it little go-kart he got kind of cool little tanks on it some kid that watched his dad build hot rods and wanted one of his own and there he was y tractor time we have found it oh Ford couple of these sold on the last auction not a huge money item there's a lot of them around so people can be pretty choosy on looking for a good one whenever they're ready I was reading the other night about the history of Ford and Ferguson and it's kind of a fascinating read the history of their partnership this is the walk around for what's here the guys are filling in and auction time will be starting soon and we'll see what the bids are so I did find one more piece out here that's too cool not to show you guys we got the 4 Ford hood boat I got one of these that's actually floatable this one I think you'd be bailing water fast than you could keep up if that thing went out on a lake it would probably be in the bottom it still be a cool piece of folk art just to lay out in the woods and look at Hey Joe I think a Pontiac died here at one time there's pieces of the corpse strewn about is then he pared one out or something I think so yeah there's an arm there's a leg 4 4 405 number 8282 all right air here everything and half one half one and a qu 97 I'm a for for including the box right somebody give me five bucks for that got6 14 14 go CR there some truck truck I saw yeah look at that the oldest one here is the one doing the hardest work careful don't peel an eyeball out with that who bought this uh one of the locals no it's 64 it's good property 64 is the last good year cuz they didn't have the vend on them so the Corvette guys will buy them as long as it's the right part number and date code basically interesting 62 of course was the first year of the 327 so that's only two three and four that are really the good available years show a little more of what I got at the auction we did buy a bunch of rims and tires so these are just the tip of the iceberg I was out of room and so Joe took most of those for me so I'll pick them up later always nice to have friends help you out when you dine deep at the buffet of antique auto parts the 5-in bolt circle GM Rim I actually owe a guy that one I had to sell my 76 olds custom Cruiser that was one that I never did show here on the channel I really liked the car but it wasn't exactly exactly what I was wanting and the condition just needed a little more than I had to give it even though it does photograph well that was one I never did show here on the channel but anyway it's sold and [Music] gone couple of these old seal beam light Rings probably just keep those around if we need them to piece together a wall hanger put bulbs back in these are kind of odd like a nylon or some sort of plastic nuts and S I figured give them to a toddler and let them have a little bit of an introduction to mechanics and start a lifelong passion I suppose let them find out how aggravating it is sometimes for usar guys bunch of lug nuts use those for just dummying together old aftermarket wheels GM remote mirror for eBay probably my Best Buy was the $5 bucket of Snap-on body hammers that was triumphant occasion got the 53 Cadillac Sombrero style wheel cover I actually own the car that that'll go on I had a set but never a bad idea to have an extra if you can find it especially for six bucks which was pretty pretty cheap buying for what these are got the antique flame arrester for air filter some of these guys that build vintage style stuff they want to recreate the look and you can't do that with shiny new parts out of the catalog so something like that will be a good match to someone's vintage build then I got the eight trck player that's one that it's not exactly what they used in the Blues mobiles but it's close enough and so one of those pristine Dash caps will get sawal to hold that old piece and make the blues mobile transformation couple carburetors the Rochester there is a 58 Chevy 283 and then the Holly coated out for 73 GMC 366 so nothing terribly special no great valuable thousand muscle car carburetors or anything like that but for somebody that's wanting something functional and usable those can either go out on swap meat table or go on eBay that Holly may be one that if you have a GM guy that doesn't want a quadri jet but thinks Hol are great be something appealing to them I know a lot of different carburetors guys they either hate edel Brocks or they hate holes or they hate Quadra Jets they call them a Quadra junk and everybody has their loved and hated carburetor which sometimes I find is more just guys want to learn one specific one and they want to tune out everything else but carburators are pretty simple creatures if you give them proper care and feeding set their chokes right don't let the throttle bushings get worn out keep them clean give them ethanol free fuel they can just go on and live a happy life couple 88 to 95 throttle body for Chevy V8 305 350 there's actually guys that have Standalone harnesses that they sell for these and so these are actually a available eBay piece you can get the rest of the conversion but you do need to have the used throttle body to make it happen this lamp I thought was even though not old just an interesting piece of pseudo folk art for the shop you can see they took a bolt and they cut it down and made the little ball on the end and then they put it on the magnet for the set of trailer lights and just interesting piece find each one of these places you get just a little bit of a window into the mind of the guys that worked on these vehicles and even though I didn't know him a lot of the local guys there did and he was kind of beloved among that car crowd and so a piece like that I can use in my shop and it'll be a little piece of that gentleman's Legacy that does live on this other piece not exactly sure what it is but it's pretty cool so I'll send that with my dad to put on the flea market table another piece of the Chevy truck this one's actually kind of unique because that is the radio delete so instead of a radio face plate you just had a little compartment there to toss things in so if somebody wants to do something different not put a radio in that's a desirable piece to have that not every truck was built with this piece not exactly sure it's called the multi Jack obviously it's adjustable and some sort of piece for bodyw work if any of you guys know exactly what that is and what it's used for comment let me know 54 Chevy Grill to and a mirror Mount some actual correct bolts so for the GTO and one of my 60s Impala projects I bought a reproduction bolt kit it was like 75 bucks and I looked at them and I was like these are just kind of regular hardware store bolts so for a guy that's wanting to put a vehicle together and make it look right with the assembly line cracked pieces those can be cleaned up they have a tool that's kind of similar to a rock tumbler and you put them in there cleans them up and you can actually send them off and have them refinished in whatever black oxide or zinc or whatever they came in originally if you're going all the way on a restoration hey kitty kitty caty meow what are you doing so we've got the threaded hubcap collection Cadillac Pontiac Oakland of course was the derivative of Pontiac we got the star which was the competitor to the Model T everybody thinks the Model T was the cheap entry level car but it did have some good competition with star and Durant and Essex and others got the shifter handle the little sediment bowls these seem to sell pretty well on eBay so if I ever come across some at an auction I do try and pick them up few tag brackets little odd oil can topper I'm not exactly sure what the use of that was something never seen before for Road draft tube for the 283 Chevy if a guy's got late 50s car that he wants to keep stock original that one 75 to 100 on eBay the little valve grinding compound that one was from Western Auto so kind of a cool piece the power window motors guy had been buying those for Cores and so hopefully I'll be able ble to find them get a hold of them and send these on to sell they can be rebuilt and make somebody's 60s GM car with power windows happy again got the Ford step plates for the running boards just kind of a unique accessory of the time I got those for significantly less than what they'll bring on eBay but I may hold on to in case I get a hold of an old Ford have been collecting pieces for te's as I find them and one day a te will come home we'll just find the right deal and get mve in that direction to finally own one one day the brown console I'm not exactly sure I think it's Toyota possibly Dotson if any of you guys know exactly what that is and I mean exactly not just a guess but if you've seen this exact piece let me know and we try and get a positive idea on it and it can end up on eBay and in the hands of somebody that has the car that it goes to got a few pieces of this which I've looked and looked and looked to find and finally had I believe Home Depot or lows I got a whole roll of ramboard and that's just useful for CAD which is cardboard aided design if you're trying to make a sheet metal panel replace something you can just cut that to shape with the scissors tape it up and then take it apart and use that for a template to cut out of steel you guys know I went to mcferson college for auto restoration and I've been professionally trained in Auto Body panel fabrication Ruster pair and Welding is one of my favorite tasks for restoration and I'm hoping to get back that way couple old magazines this one from 2000 it's pretty fun to look and see what the market was like almost 25 years ago some of these you look at and you kind of cringe for what you could have bought one for and what they're worth today 197 8 consumer guide car review this thing's pretty cool get the different vehicle manufacturers in there Walker exhaust for whatever reason I do find Mufflers tailpipes sned stock and there's just something about having an old paper catalog that you can look up and find what the pieces go to and super super cool piece was this old suitcase got the edroth inspired art on there that it's actual paint it's not just a Sharpie I'm not really into this type of stuff but somebody out there is and this thing like to find it a good home with someone who will love and appreciate it see they decorated it all the way around got the little killroy there so that's a cool piece that someone will fall in love with just not me few more finds from the auction this three-speed Chevrolet transmission for whatever reason I see these things sell for decent money on eBay so I figured I'd give it a whirl a borner T10 and then a Sagen I believe these are both four speeds not sure really what the value on them is but they were interesting enough I figured bid on them take them home figure out if they're anything any good or not few suspension parts bearings some of the stuff you get from the parts store now is just kind of cheap Chinese junk so there's actually a market for old bearings if you identify them so we'll see if there's anything in any good in there got the range of steering wheels old to newer 62 Impala this te- steering wheel was kind of the one that grabbed me and said hey by the pile I'm kind of assembling tea parts here and there as I find them if they're cheap and decent if nothing else they can hang on the wall but one day I will own a tea the cool little carburetor can I did end up with that thing's going to make an interesting display on the wall of cans Ford 8ba oil filter those always sell on eBay got the side pipe covers I did buy all the automotive paint people kind of laughed at me for buying it at the sale with the dead Monte Carlo pieces but I did sell all that paint for 30 bucks so the kid was happy to have it he likes to paint motorcycle tanks so he's not really hung up on any of it being a huge quantity of any color he just kind of likes to have enough of it that's still usable did get a big box of seat belts those will be kind of fun to go through I did get a stereo that I believe would be correct for the k car couple New Old Stock GM ball joints door hinges that type of stuff the good Factory original parts people seem to buy on eBay Mystery station wagon backseat cushion not even sure on that if any of you guys are encyclopedic about what that might fit let me know in the comments I got this really really interesting Model T Tire this is a swinhart balloon so I want to look up and see if there's any advertising for that I've got a guess of what it might look like for the picture board signs that they would have used to advertise them with but anyway it was cheap enough for an interesting conversation piece if nothing else also got the Model T luggage rack this heater probably for like a school bus or something pretty big volume piece it was something cheap I just took a chance on not a huge buying for it model a headlight bar I'll use that for when we build our wall hangers and just the range of usual rims and tires including a a Mopar police car wheel I made it completely through sorting the emblems and while I was going through them to put them on eBay I found one of these 62 Falcon Fender ornaments which was the right hand side and I was really amazed at the auction to find the matching left hand side which is even better because I needed the for my dad's 62 Ford Falcon which as he ages I'm starting to realize that my time to work on cars with him is limited and that was something that we got into together to do this as a hobby and I've chosen it for a business and I just need to consciously make an effort to spend time with him working on that car while he's still around so that's a goal that I definitely have for the upcoming time e
