what is up ladies we're back at it again we're down the road from the dairy farm in the town of Lynn Clark County Wisconsin where we are making illegal use of the roads we've got our measuring wheel out and we are measuring out our 16th of a mile drag race because we're bringing to you another classic ATV Showdown Jack's got that can or red paint out and he is spraying down and laying down the Finish Line so guys here we go ran out of paint but we know where it is the camera is going to be sitting here at the end onto the races Jack's back I'm back we're gonna do another classic ATV drag race and this time we're going three-wheeler versus three-wheeler and it's two extremely rare models that have never been filmed against each other on all of YouTube all the billions of videos out there this has never been done you are about to witness history hmm Jack do you think any clutches are going to be slipping on any of these today no both these got their clutches redone not too long ago all right sorry to disappoint you guys in the comments a lot of you Clutch Doctors out there who can diagnose slipping clutches just through hearing it you're going to be disappointed because these are all in tip top shape ready to go so guys just sit back grab your Monster Energy Drink comb your mullet and we're gonna race some three-wheelers all right guys let's take a look at contestant number one what we're dealing with here is the 1986 Yamaha tri-z250 now this is of course a two-stroke three-wheeler this was only produced for two years 1985 1986. in the red and white that was the 86 version it was also produced in a 1985 and a half model year so what about this machine let's take a look at it uh one of the interesting things that I think about this is the gas tank that is under the seat it's not gravity fed like all the rest of the other machines out there it actually has a fuel tank down low and then it has a fuel pump on this machine it's got that Yamaha energy induction system which is kind of like a boost bottle that's right there on the side and then it does have a smaller front tire than most of the other three wheelers too that was stock for better handling now competitor number two is the 1986 Kawasaki takati III now this thriller was produced from 1984 through 1987. 84 and 85 that was a totally different generation and it could look kind of ugly to be honest the 1986 and 1987 were much improved and if you find an 87 that is extremely rare they say only seven or eight hundred of those were even made nonetheless this is still a very very rare machine you don't see them very often and this motor uses Kawasaki's Kips system which is Kawasaki's version of a power valve on this two-stroke engine hey in my opinion this is the best looking and most aggressive looking three-wheeler of that era [Music] foreign guys I'm interested to see what happens with this race because we got two extremely rare three wheelers here [Music] and to all you guys that love to critique our shifting you're gonna get to critique some more of the rules of the race we're gonna do six races total two on each machine each of us are going to take two chances on each machine on a one six one eight on the one eighth of a mile 660 feet and then for the fifth and sixth race we're each gonna do a rolling start on each machine all right let's get it on foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign all right we're switching I'm getting my butt fixed [Music] all right guys we got the four races in man that third race I needed a little practice on that one you can hit me all up you want in the comments about my shifting but I wasn't familiar with the shifting on the Tracy I hadn't read it in a while as you can see on the fourth race we had that much much closer [Music] um foreign I got him once but hey guys uh I deserve the criticism for race number three three that's it my shifting was terrible in that that was the first time I got on the tri-z and I had forgotten how you have to shift that thing Jack what happened today a lot of a lot of Shifting uh maybe yes some some weight but I would just say ultimately even though they say that the uh Ducati is faster I would say that the try Z is a bit quicker I know you ain't go nuts in the comments nothing about you guys should be happy that there's two guys out here still riding these things still willing to make videos about them so don't complain too much these are nice machines and we're happy to bring them to you yeah I mean I think weight did play a factor I did catch him once and got him on so that was a victory for me but with that being said back in the day and I grew up in that era they said that the tri-z was the slowest of the three including the 250R and today that thing was fast so you know there's a lot of variables but hope you enjoyed the race guys all right guys thanks for watching we're getting the 250R ready that's coming real soon we'll race it again so watch for that please like And subscribe just a dad and a son having fun and uh remember always keep it real
