Attempting To Start The Fierro's Rusty Big Block!!!

hell yeah brother you're on the pleas P FR YouTube channel month of Freedom all right guys so skirt's over there busy on the old Veil truck so old Sub in jack stands over here making up a new driver side header for the Fiero I already got the old crusty one off uh bolted on the new flange cut the one pipe and got it attacked in there yeah going to get her busted out you know spe the build going to mig weld everything make it easy on us it's the only way to do it on a you know we got MIG welder tie he said go ahead and mig weld it up it's going to be S up I got enough materials to make two but I'm only going to make one so when they crash it again I have it you make the other side when it crashes exactly [Music] all right guys here we are damage report on the Fiero jackon already put a new header on it beautiful buil it he's blowing through our budget okay for this I got a call from this guy ski he said hey uh skirt you mean skirt yeah same thing he uh hit me up and said hey I need some work done I said I ain't cheap but I can bust out for you so the header is bad carburetor is bad obviously you know that the wheel is bad definitely and then the radiator was bad but what we really need to get down to finding out is if this engine is bad so we have ATF soaking in the motor right now look underneath it yep and all the sparkle plug holes as you can see by this one it's just steadily dripping water okay it may or may not have got some water in the cylinders and rusted over the course of a few years since swirl wrecked it has been open for quite some time this is a garage kept machine until the roll over squir got hold of it the big flip so we do have a little bit of play in the motor and what we're going to try and do right now we haven't even messed with the transmission we're just going to try and get this thing spinning so we need to get this free though we can hear some noise yeah get some of that rust Broke Free we got about 10° right not even what that 5° I mean we could pull the heads off we had to but this thing is not want to move much is there a better way we can grab this thing definitely there's definitely water in it I mean oh wait wait wait I just got some you got water coming out oh it's pumping water that's ancient water right there it's pumping water got a good hit hold on you're doing oh look look how much there she goes there she is building compression on this side look it's shooting out over here watch this fing in the hole I'm getting a full body workout brother get ready there he goes you're getting compression breaking a sweat over here yeah give me some WD in there brother good thing about the way George broke this intake all squirrel you just got open for Access yeah right to your valves I say we're up to a quarter turn now yeah you're looking good damn yeah that's a work we spin it all the way one way hook it up to the starter let it really ye the rust we get the starter hooked up boy yeah we can jump box that thing we just get her spun all the way back one way man I can hear the rust once you get the rest of those water pumped out of the motor it'll start to all right let's try the starter trick we'll back it up we'll try and hook it up to that gigantic Factory caterpillar freaking mining sight starter all right I got it backed all the way up into the hard spot should shoot your forward a good bit I had to break the ear clean off the starter that's also a reasonable possibility now we're now we got tail lights that work that's well it's pretty good I don't know if we can trust this bad girl till we start her up yeah I know we might need a whole new engine that would be unfortunate might need a whole new engine we could just rebuild this one oh this is going to be action if jackan pulls this off we're going to be in business well this is a pretty good giveaway that it's not looking good in there when the inside of your header pipe looks like that that's bad news dude I think I'm halfway around right now yeah yeah I mean she's going to take a little damage on the on the old cylinder walls but we're going to use Killer B to jump start this thing the biggest thing is is we need to get the rust need to get the Rings freed up past the rust enough before we let one of the Rings get broken cuz you break a ring trying to do this be bad news and you ain't got a good short ball you ain't got enough [Music] yeah I'm freaking breaking the sweat over here well you know I got the motor halfway around for sure hit the starter how about now o h it again think she just shorted her out wait go back the other way back it up the ground's smoking yeah there we go hit it oh not enough juice hit [Music] it okay we got some Rust o some poop water come on now all right backing it up back it it hit it hit it every time hit it man your ground is really smoking think that's a good enough ground oh that was a nice little CL think she's about to go around hit [Music] it hold on now water in the oil oh yeah yeah big time should we change the oil real quick um well the thing is the way your budget set up I didn't want to spend anything yeah yeah without knowing we got good stuff but now she's spinning probably be wise to now we can fix the top end cuz you know it's spinning now we can change the oil now we can buy batteries then we can hit the key nice I'm excited oh yeah you know how much money we just Sav squir a lot this bad girl is ready for another few years service that's right let's pop the intake off I guess we decided this intake is in fact toast we're going to try and recover it it's unrecoverable we can't get the studs out of it so we got Parts here from Holly luckily got a new one and we can get that stuff slapped on here real quick see what we can get done we might be able to fire this bad girl up today I don't know if you noticed but your fuel pump was still pumping it was I did see that I was yeah hit it looked like it was pumping water yeah it's pumping it's pumping it's good you might want to pump all that out honestly that does not smell like burnable no [Music] putting oil in the Fier this is a good feeling I mean yeah if we could get more than just a quar ounce at a time well now you're doubling down half of mine's on The Brak the last place oil needs to be on this car oil needs to be everywhere cuz if this engine ain't good yeah we're going to have to call PDS debt to get it to be able to get out of the debt this thing's going to put us in get R but Hey listen we're going to get get this show on the road one way or another I'm just really hopeful this engine's still good predictions Tai I think it'll fire up man it took us like 4 hours of bouncing our motor back and forth on our jet boat and it freed up and it ran most of the time it ran yeah barely but you think she's good oh she's this thing's ready she's definitely going to run brand new carburetor how long exactly don't matter I don't know did you flush the fuel system out not yet it uh definit want it's going to run the drive part I don't know if it's going to drive well at least we know the engine's good for spending money on this trans motion you know that's the thing okay carburetor on double pumper obviously spark plugs in we did do a test hit on the starter she's spinning slow a lot of pressure in there a lot of still tight are we going to check the timing or we just sending it well everything was back the way it was I didn't move anything so I mean out yeah but you mark it put it back the same way it was okay she good as long as that distributor when it got yeed on the ground and broke in half as long as that didn't mess up anything it should be close to where it was I mean did it look close visually on that's what we're relying on all right well shoot let's try it little bit oh okay this hole is good y that hole's burning right come on baby come on baby that break got come on Baby D hold on one good hole so we just check the timing real quick should we put should we also put a jump box on it or you think it won't help I me we got would help a little bit but Vol we hook her up to kill a be 16 that's already 16 volts right there so then we'll have extra HS she's definitely struggling in one little section of the uh of the rotation probably the flywheel probably B bad flywheel on it yeah can't see any marks on oh yeah you can here we go 20° 10 that's at zero right there oh okay she's way off flashing it's way off if this is accurate hit it again yeah we're like it's it's really hard to I would say but just go 50° one way and we'll too hot is it see if it got fouled up not hot at all she's got a little rust water on her she's a little might as well pull them all out clean them all real quick or spin it over with them out flush anything out that might be in there some Rust water and then try it again all right all the plugs are out ready oh my L of that one yeah lot of junk in there [Music] yes let me do a compression check on it ready yep oh she's got it got it a little weak great compression there go ahead W that one's really weak probably a little extra rust in there this will give us a good look at what's going on which one was the one with low compression number one there's four oh there she go there it is put it in the hole Rusty going in yep rust yep a lot of it yeah W see the top of that piston full of rust cylinder wall cylinder walls look clean though full of rust look at the valve oh my gosh thing is cranked valve looks basically brand new piston brand new yeah all right we're good let's keep going all right got to clean her up with some heat that's all that's all that's all she needs she needs to fire some of that junk off of there now that she was spinning real good fuel's getting in cleaned out again I think it's going to fire right off in and we'll get her two check these out boy there's your new wheel holy crap dud the same CU they didn't have that same five stock but it's the same we couldn't get two of those you only needed one you only need one look how nice that thing is or we only need one dang it all right hook these up we got brand new start well we sold off the Su truck you we borrowed it we borrowed it that's all look at it then this also easy and this also showed up and came in but oh nice way up there easy smoke our new starter just hook it up regular yeah look at him please spin Faster come on I can't think of a single thing that could go wrong it's spin stuff [Music] everywhere at [Music] it that's why I'm right in the middle I seen that coming from a mile dude I'll tell you right now it's oil pressure cuz there's oil all over up here how bad oil oil it looks bad well I mean I expected a couple oil changes yeah now just spin it over let's hear how free it sounds cuz it burned up all that rust [Music] yeah I think it's good definitely better take a picture that's kind of a cool feature honestly that at the birthday parties love that you're doing the before school wheelie exactly definitely you might have compromised vals here's the deal we got a little bit of tuning to do but what we are seeing right now is that we do not have to buy a new engine no this one's obv no knocking noises which is great yeah you know it ran upside down for a little while you know that's that's the biggest thing I don't hear no knocking though I don't hear a damn tick I mean that thing's purring my brothers that's about how it ran before honestly yeah yeah I guess uh yeah the oil on the bottom is not very it's only a little bit coming out the distributor up here okay so I mean what we have here is a perfectly good running engine I'd say health I'm giving in a N9 out of 10 what do you think Jack Stan I 9.4 out of 10 9.4 out of 10 were firing all eight were firing I mean it looks like all the valves are sealed up pretty good I think all the rust is out of it I think we got a good running vehicle so what we got to do now get ourselves a new radiator we got to put a tire on that wheel we got to figure out what we're going to do about the bell housing yep okay that's a big one that's a big one that's a big one that and we need a old ski skirt over here to build up a oh a new thing yeah we need you to build some stuff tie and then we also need you to fix the whole front end remember how you agreed to do that for free oh yeah we're going to get
