attempting to read for 24 hours straight ......

hi welcome or welcome back to my channel it is literally 8 a.m right now it's 8 25 i've decided to do 24 hour reading challenge i've actually been wanting to do this for like months now i've been getting requested to do this for months now i just thought of a 24 hour challenge is like a lot to me because i one love my sleep two i am interrupted daily i don't think i can have like a full 24 hours where i could just like sit and read and i wanted to do this because when it's fun or it's fun in thought what's what's it called it's fun theory but i have like a lot of books on my shelf that i have bought and just not read and i keep buying more books or getting more books i got barnes noble gift cards for my birthday too and i want to go buy books but i have so many on my shelves that i need to read so that's one of the main reasons we're doing this but like i said i'm not gonna be strict with myself because this is my first time doing the challenge anyway i don't have books lined up with what i'm gonna read i have one on my kindle right now that i'm reading but i think i'm gonna save for a little later it's called the infinity between us i'm on page 84 and then i also started the confidence wildflower i don't have the second one it's like a duology this one i'm on page 54. and this one's a thicker one so 420 pages it is now 8 28. i'm going to start at 8 30. i think i just want to finish this and i think i'm going to finish what's on my phone i've been doing like the back and forth because it just it's been working but i'm going to try this one first this one is big age gap i don't hate it right now i mean i'm only 50 feet in it's a little weird getting into the whole the meeting and stuff i don't know i don't see it turning into like a thing i don't know it's a little weird but she's 18 he's 31. so i need to like get up and get ready for my day but i don't need to actually i wanted to finish the summer i turned pretty serious today too but it doesn't seem like that's happening why am i nervous i feel like because later tonight like it's gonna be like i'm an early sleeper i go in bed at like 10 or 11. i'm just going to start i'm ready why am i nervous okay needed so the class is by amanda rachel she's like an artist and it's called art journaling for self-care three exercises for reflection and growth and basically she goes through what art journaling is your move what you want what you are today all your thoughts and she just goes through bullet journaling how it's great for productivity and stuff like that and it's literally what i needed it's perfect and they have so many classes that you can take and that's just one little section that i found interesting and what i wanted to pursue basically you can prioritize your self-care and your could pause it and then press start again so 27 minutes in one page a hundred i'm gonna keep going until about maybe like ten so like one more hour and then i'm gonna go make some coffee [Music] okay hold on i almost just clicked the reset button but we are an hour and 45 minutes in well then i have two dogs on my lap i'm reading this really quick i guess i'm really loving it i mean i am like really enjoying it i'm on page 227 i started this i was on page 50. and it took me an hour and 45 minutes to read like 200 pages not 200 like 170 maybe i don't know math i'm kind of making up these numbers i didn't expect to like it as much as i am but the thing with age gap is it could either really turn me off or i could really enjoy it and i'm actually really enjoying it there's some parts that i like wish weren't really happening one being that not even just this book but i feel like in so many romance books like the main character one of them has a significant other and it's just like why do they always need to have a significant other it kind of ruins it because then like they connect with the new love interest obviously and it's like you have a boyfriend or a girlfriend okay i'm gonna keep going an hour and 45 in i'm gonna finish this book i'm hoping the next couple hours and then i don't know what we're gonna read next i don't know if i want to read the kindle book we'll figure that out when that comes but we'll start the clock [Music] hello i have paused my timing for like i think it's been like 10 minutes i i'm now sitting outside it's too nice out not too really sunny but i am on page 312 i am running through this book it's predictable but like i'm loving it i don't know i guess because i took a grumpy sunshine band but i haven't read a grumpy book in a while i haven't read age gap in a pretty long time so it's been a while since i've read these tropes so i'm loving it i'm gonna finish now and then we'll see what the next read is this is kind of fun it's not going to be fun when it's like 3 a.m but it's fun right now [Music] hello okay just finished sadly i don't have the second in it it's the resurrection of wildflowers i believe but this leaves you on a cliffhanger and i've been going for three hours 38 minutes that's how long it took me to read majority of the book oh my god my voice it was actually like surprisingly a lot better than i expected i don't know i had like low hopes for this one it's 420 pages it leaves you on a cliffhanger i don't have to say you want i honestly don't want to go buy it i'll buy it later this week maybe read it next week i don't know i'm not like dying to read it but it was good it actually came down my toes i was interested in the relationship and what was gonna happen i mean it started off pretty quick into the story so i was like where can it go from here but crazy things happen at the end of this so i'm not gonna read it just yet because i am done writing things like as soon as i read it so i don't know what i want to read next i think i should start another paperback i don't really want to read actually i don't know should i finish the book on my phone i don't really want to read up my phone right now let's see what books i have all right these two i'm like dying to get off my tbr bookshelf you were there too colleen oakley the truth hurts rebecca reid let's go back outside i'm probably gonna read on my phone like i said i wasn't going to but i'm going to all right so the one on my phone on page 84 of 311 so i feel like i should just finish it it's actually good it's a childhood friends to the lovers it's second chance it's like basically the same thing as like all those books like every summer after their family spend summers at the beach summer i turn pretty type of vibe her best friend they grow up together their childhood friends then they stop talking it's like the flashbacks and you see them five years ago and you see them now and it's it's like that i hope i don't get distracted on my phone because that would be not good [Music] this book is cute okay getting starbucks here's an update i stopped the clock because i got starbucks we're gonna have to deal with this little circle my camera's filthy i got my drink i also got a cake pop but i just posted my stuff born part two video today just went on my phone to check that out because i haven't been on instagram like legit all day bestie has followed me on instagram i think this is my peek i don't know if i can go up from here and i'm just like so happy okay i'm gonna get home start the clock again and we're gonna continue i'm gonna finish this book maybe i should put my seatbelts on maybe anyway okay [Music] back outside and i think like 99 think i know why these two stop talking and it has nothing to do with them it has everything to do with other people and this is the first one where it's like they stopped talking not because of what they did well that's just my prediction i don't know but they stopped talking because of what other people did and not like something in their relationship so technically nothing between them i feel like happened so this is like an interesting take on it because usually it's always the childhood friends like something happened and then they split so i'm excited to see if i'm right i think i am this time though i'm 40 of the way in page 126 so i'm just gonna keep going i'm on four hours 28 minutes i don't know if you can see that can you see that we have 19 ish wait do i know how to do math i just know once it hits night and time it's gonna be rough because i love my sleep so see you in a little [Music] i am oh my god my phone just fell five hours 48 minutes in we look insane but i'm on page 196 of 311 i'm 63 in and i'm gonna put a timestamp for you to skip if you don't want spoilers of this book but i just need to say it i just read it and like literally gasped it's present day it went skinny dipping in the ocean and she wants to sell the house the beach house whatever they shook up a deal in the beginning will tell violet like stay here the full summer and at the end of it if you still want to sell it you can so whatever he said you can't leave but i know when you look at me you see everything that went wrong but when i look at you violet when i look at you i still see the love of my life and that one hit i literally highlighted it and i highlight and pink up my phone i just think it's cuter i can't deal they love each other it's just like the friends the lovers it's such soulmate i mean i recently read one that wasn't as soulmate as this one or like as others that i've read like when you feel like the soulmate connection when it's friends lovers it's like chef's kiss it's so good that was my update i'm gonna keep reading i'll probably come back when i finish maybe i wonder what book we're reading next i don't know it's kind of fun it's like i'm getting a lot done even though i've only read one book so far but almost two i also have kind of naked but i have my dogs literally just laying next to me and we're all just hanging out see you in a few i knew it i mean i knew some of it i'm not sure why they're where they are right now i knew that's what it was they were pointing out all these things and i'm like they wouldn't put this in the book if it wasn't for a reason now i knew that i was right well okay now i just need to figure out the other half of it i have a feeling i know so keep reading i'm still outside it's four o'clock but it's still so nice out okay i'm so mad literally as i read on he's charged my phone because literally i read the last word of the book like epilogue like not even the book the literally the last of the epilogue my phone died praying my timer is still going it's my worst nightmare i really am so upset right now oh it's on fingers crossed guys oh it's still going we're going on seven hours 51 seconds i'm gonna stop it there my phone and my camera need to charge so i stopped the clock i'm gonna go shower change and stuff but this needs to charge because it's gonna die i've gotta charge it last night but i just finished the book honestly this isn't one that i have to like think over it didn't get boring at some point i think just at some points i was like like i wanted it to pick up a little but i'm reading this a 4.5 like i know i'm sucker for these tropes but the ending wasn't just like oh this is why we haven't talked and then they got over not got over but then they like made up it's like this is what happened and then there was like other things that happened other things she found out and it was like more to it than just us as readers figuring out why they haven't spoken for however many years so i really liked that i liked what happened felt very realistic and then everything that after like i was still surprised there was more surprising elements after and i was like very much i don't know how to speak english but i enjoyed it actually i'm liking this because i'm not really going on like my phone like instagram and stuff i'm not on social media i don't know what book i'm going to read next it's definitely not a childhood friends lovers because i need a break but like i don't want to read one back to back because sometimes it gets repetitive i don't know if i want to read i forgot the name of it the other one that i was gonna read the yellow cover book so i'm gonna charge this in my phone i'm gonna go shower and i will talk to you and i will come back with my next book and we will start up the timer again so i am ready to pick my third book i don't know if i want to read a romance that's all i really have though but let's go look at my books i'm not sure why i put you in the tripod but i'm going to walk with it so what we're not going to do is read the last two books of the addicted series because it's just i it's not happening so i have a good amount of books if you could see this pile this huge pile maybe you can't it's not focused behind me do you see this ultimate girl ellen hildebrand i'm not reading that yet i'm saving that for vacation all the bright places we could read apparently this is sad do we want to cry maybe we'll read this later tonight i don't want to read this yet we have a mystery the kind worth killing maybe this one somewhere in paris no possibly i don't know maybe i have this this and the shatter me but we are not starting series right now maybe no no okay these are the ones we're choosing from the devil wears black i don't think i want to read that one kiss quotient i haven't read this yet but i heard it's like a fan fave make sure he like teaches her how to kiss and stuff right i don't know if i want to read that the flat chair i heard was cute but again i don't know if i want like a cutesy romance right now that leaves us with the last book in the good girls guide to murder series i don't know maybe we should read a mystery one summer in paris this is about two friends i think i'm gonna take this on vacation with me as well i'm not reading that we have all the bright places i might save for later tonight and then we also have the kind worth killing what should we do should we finish the series i know you can't see the top of my head or should we start a different murder mystery i'm thinking of finishing the series guys i don't know almost 500 pages guys i don't think i'm going to do it i think i'm going to do the kind worth killing i'm going to talk about two people that meet on an airplane and he wants to like kill his wife and they like do it together or something i don't like reading books written by men is that mean anyway i guess we're gonna try it why not all right [Music] i found somebody i say you don't call me okay update nine hours 30 minutes and on page 86 can't tell how i'm feeling it's really weird because you get both main character's point of view so you get ted and lily's point of view but ted's is like present time what he's talking about with his wife and like present time with his wife and meeting lily then lily's point of view is like her past and like her kind of like upbringing and i like feel like i could see where this is gonna go but i don't know completely i got this book recommended to me and i was like told i needed to read it so i am trying not to guess what's going on at the end of it because i feel like if i do that i might ruin it and i want to be surprised by the end but yeah so anyway it's kind of like small words and like a lot of words on the page i like that i'm reading this while timing myself like i really can't pick up my phone or anything like i'm just reading i haven't really touched my phone like at all i feel like if i read this on my own i might have put it down so many times and like that i'm gonna slump but like i wouldn't like it or i wouldn't have read it as quick as i am so it's like this challenge is helping me read books quicker cuz i don't get distracted or don't let myself get distracted i don't know i'm gonna keep reading and stay here as long as i can until the bugs come out i hate sitting out here at night because the bugs are like ruthless i'll talk to you guys in a few with any updates i have book it's a little boring right now but also very interesting it's intriguing me officially hit 10 hours double digits feeling good been reading like a crazy woman but i guess that's fine this is what i asked for with this challenge but the woman in this book literally she's a crazy excuse my friend she's a crazy i can't say anything obviously i don't this is gonna be spoiler free for all the books that i'm reading in it but she's insane that's all i had to say this book is like written kind of like a silent patient and i don't know if that's only because it's written by a man and i don't read books written by men or because it's just like a thriller written by a man like it's like very like similar the way that he writes i don't like love it i'm hoping for a good plot twist i'm like thinking of all these things in my head and i don't know but all right that's my update she doesn't know that your favorite place is [Music] wait this book is kind of crazy i also moved to my room needed to change the scenery so it's only nine o'clock we're at 11 hours we're almost halfway and this is like getting crazy i'm at part two it's in like parts i just got to part two page 145 i think i'm almost halfway through so that's nice i want to finish this by like 11 it's 9 20. that's all i'm gonna keep going update i just checked you're over halfway and i don't really know if i'm gonna make it but i'm gonna have to try obviously i'm getting tired and it's literally only 10 30. that's an issue i'm on page 198 there's like so many words on a page like i can't tell like there's a lot of words but i have about 100 like 10 pages left i'm over halfway which is nice and i'm hoping something interesting happens i mean it's like further into like the book and it's so different than what i thought it was going to be it's like a whole 180 360. i actually had to go charge my camera on because it's legit gonna die i'm just gonna continue reading this is gonna be wrong always think about you but sometimes i do cause sometimes i drive through all of the streets we used to on first avenue cause sometimes i don't even know where i'm going at first all of the turns that i had someone learned back to the so confused that book took me so long to finish we're going 14 hours almost 15. i'm just like my head hurts from reading that book and my eyes were getting so heavy i was like falling asleep while reading it the book was so interesting until the end now i'm just like why what i need to read good reads reviews like right now i also didn't say i was filming this video to literally anyone and if anyone's like keeping up with my goodreads they're probably damn she read a lot today i updated like three different books yeah that ending just wasn't satisfying i guess you could say i thought it would wrap up let me write this in my notes the ending kind of abruptly ended and didn't really wrap up what i thought was gonna happen it was kind of underwhelming when i was on my toes the whole time i wrote that in my notes or i spoke that into my notes when i talk about my monthly reads this month i need to remember that yeah the ending just didn't do it for me the whole book i was like on my toes until the end kind of sad almost nine hours left i don't know if i'm gonna make it my eyes are so heavy so i think i'm gonna read a colleen book i feel like that's the only way i'll say it to 1 17 a.m i put on shit's creek we're at 15 hours i don't know what's gonna happen now i'm gonna start maybe someday because the colleen reads probably the only thing that'll keep me up i just read what it's about honestly i don't know doesn't sound that intriguing but it's calling so heard mixed reviews on this book i also think i'm gonna rate the card worth killing like i'm still like iffy that book was just like my head hurts from it i'm just so confused with that book i guess we'll talk about it in my wrap up let's start it that's when i do guys the thought of going for nine more hours how do people do this it's 140 what if i took a power nap woke back up try to get 10 minute max about 15 hours and 30 seconds 20 seconds what if i took a 10 minute power knife it can't hurt you know hopefully i wake up um yeah i failed i don't know how you guys stay up for 24 hours really but i did read for like 15 hours i did get over halfway and that means something to me i tried so hard i remember sleeping for like 10 minutes my alarm went off and i woke back up and i was like it's not happening yeah this is where we stop 15 36 31 i was so close well not really actually ahead nine hours left i guess that just means we're going to try this again which honestly i don't want to but now i feel like i have to prove myself and i have to prove that i could do this i guess my current reader now is maybe someday i read maybe like four pages different eight pages i kind of didn't want to start a series now i don't know if i want to continue reading the book you're disappointed in me i'm so sorry it was my first time doing it so like maybe it's fine i hope you guys enjoyed at least watching me try to complete this next time and i stayed up to what two something and i was like i can't do it i'm going to sleep and i was so convinced that i was gonna be able to do it you win some and you lose some and it's fine i'll try again next time oh my god so tired i'm gonna go edit this i'm gonna take a reading break actually the weirdest part is i woke up and like i wanted to continue reading it's like a sick is it an addiction you guys think literally i thought i was gonna be like a whole day break of reading and i'm just like i want to start a new book now i hope you guys enjoyed it let me know your thoughts on this video let
