Hey Gang,
I started studying for the CFP February 2020. By far, my biggest setback is eliminating distractions. I just wanted to share a really good source for creating an effective plan for building good habits. In theory, this could apply to any goal. I found it mapped over to studying for the CFP Exam really well.
I changed up my practice exam review strategy after this. Now, I answer 3-4 questions and immediately look at the answer so I get immediate feedback. Rather than grading the practice exam at the end. I would have forgotten the details of the problem.
I'd love to hear good study habits you have.
Highly recommend the book both pre and post exam
I just purchased this book on Amazon Christmas Eve, AND it literally just arrived at my door as type this out. 😂 and I am also studying to sit for the CRP 07/2021.
The first line of his talk put me off. The hypothetical he poses (get 1% better every day for a year) seems very implausible as you'll quickly hit diminishing returns. Sure the math is fine, but it seems like total hyperbole to actually think you can get 37x better at something by "just" getting 1% better each day.
