For the convenience of filming, this pop-up book was also placed as a single sheet rather than a book. This time, I drew a picture with marker on paper and colored it with watercolor. When I actually open the book, I made it so that it can be a three-dimensional pop-up. I didn't have a separate design, so I had a few trials and errors while drawing it,
but I'm proud that the pop-up went well after completing it. Shall I start by looking at the cover of the pop-up book? On the cover, there is a door to each holiday town in the deep forest. From there, I drew it in the shape of a door to Halloween Town. And if I pull this side, the title of the fairy tale book The Nightmare Before Christmas comes out. The picture in the middle changes like this. Next is Halloween Town Square. Buildings pop-up behind the square. I made it possible for ghosts to come out. Dracula is cute, right? What I paid the most attention to in this square is the scene where Jack comes out of the fountain. When you open this side, Jack appears in the fountain. It was hard to see in the previous uploaded video, but Jack's hand is facing forward. I drew the inside of the fountain meticulously, too. And I used these decorations for the Christmas preparation scene. There's also a jack pulling a sled here. Next is the tomb scene of The Nightmare Before Christmas. It's a highlight scene in the movie. I tried to revive the mood of the scene. There's Zero, too. The light bulb and battery were connected to the back of the paper to make the nose shine. When the jack on this side moves and stops in front of the moon, the famous scene is reenacted. Next is the deep forest. Isn't it cool to have pop-ups? Jack walks through the dry trees and finds a mysterious door. I made a door to Christmas Town on this side. I made it so that when you open the door and pull the paper, it feels like the jack is falling inward. Next is Christmas Town. I revived a colorful mood that contrasts with Halloween Town. There is a Christmas tree in the middle, and the town scenery unfolds in the back. There is also a snowman that Jack disguised in the movie. If you open this side, you can see the indoor scenery. The fire inside the fireplace was also made three-dimensional. There are socks and chestnuts in the basket. There's a Christmas tree on this side. It's made so that the light bulb can be turned on by attaching tree ornaments and pressing this button. It's not a composite effect, it's a real light, so it's prettier, isn't it? Next is Jack's room. I put this hat on Jack. In the movie, the clothes are also pajamas,
but this is the only scene where Jack comes out big, so I drew it with Jack's suit. Jack's arms are made to move freely. So Jack can take out the books on this side and read them. I made the book similar to the books Jack read in the movie. I drew the inside of the book with a pen according to the title. Next is Jack's Workshop. There are tools in the middle bag. I allocated space for each experiment. The first experiment is a microscope. If you look closely, the magnification is written on it. Put the fruit on the glass plate. Put it in the microscope. When I open the lid, you can see the fruit. If I increase the magnification, the picture changes like this. The second experiment is a teddy bear. I made it so that if I attached a knife and pulled this side, it would look like I was cutting the teddy bear's belly with a knife. I also put cotton inside. The third is a voltage experiment. Put the cane in. Connect the tongs well. If you increase the voltage, The cane changes like this. The last one is the boiling experiment. I'll put ornaments in the beaker. Light the fire with a torch. if I push up. Like boiling, bubbles come up. Next up is the toy factory. If I open it here, there are tools. Assemble the duck. Pack the scorpion too. The next scene is moving to a village with children. Jack flies in the sky on a sled. pulls the sides, the moon opens to create space. It's one of the scenes that I really like
because it's directed in the atmosphere I wanted in the finished video. It's really pretty, right? Now the last scene. The scene where Jack puts a gift through a chimney. When the gift is put in, the windows are lit up the village becomes noisy. There was also Jack's picture frame. Transforms into Santa Claus Jack, then returns as Jack the Pumpkin King. It's done.
