Aria Las Vegas – The Jewel of CityCenter

[Music] good morning everyone it's Sunday morning and we're heading back down to the strip again today we are going to explore one of the most beautiful properties on the strip it's called the Aria this adventure starts right now [Music] this magnificent resort was named because it is situated as the central feature in city centre just as re azure focal points in operas Aria opened in December 2009 and will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year one thing you'll notice as you approach any of the entrances or walk through the three floors of common areas there is beautiful artwork on display everywhere and we will try to note these during the video as we encounter them alright let's check it out here we go it should be the main lobby I'm hoping I think this is the main lobby oh wow look at this [Music] this hotel has two beautiful carved glass and steel towers joined at the center and at 61 and 51 stories these are the highest structures at City Center the property has four thousand four rooms and suites a 150 thousand square foot casino and 300,000 square feet of convention space [Music] this is quite a lobby isn't it yeah we were talking we probably have nothing in here in ten years yeah and right off the lobby is the lobby bar it seems like an appropriate place to put the lobby bar turn it Aria has been labeled as the most technologically advanced hotel ever built primarily because of all the design features that reduce energy consumption it is the largest hotel in the world to have earned LEED Gold certification for energy efficiency [Music] and I'm quite open that's called the pub the pub is just off the main lobby and features pub fare a huge beer menu and maybe even a lively game of darts or beer pong this is called tapas am i right tapas light boots famous chef Julian Serrano incorporated his Spanish heritage into a creative and flavorful small plates menu [Music] all the table settings are so inviting the color scheme and again this is right off the lobby [Music] right next to this place is a place called catch [Music] oh look at that entryway look at that entryway oh my gosh this gym is a go-to spot for celebrities while they're here in town the menu at catch is a unique combination of Asian influenced sushi seafood and steak the restaurant called sage award-winning chef Shawn MacLean presents an ever-changing American menu that features the freshest of ingredients [Music] they have a lot of Scotch whiskies here don't think you actually some of my favorites Glenlivet Glenmorangie Balvenie is another favor we'll have to come by for a drink not at 9:00 in the morning but no a little later later on yeah I love the decor in the yellow and blue matches your sweater yeah you fit right in yeah you could almost be a waitress this is interesting back at Aria a few days later when we were originally here was Sunday morning it is now Thursday evening and actually I'm down here in the lobby again gonna meet our son for dinner and he's here on business so taking advantage the opportunity to be back at Aria in the evening I got myself a Bell beanie to enjoy from the lobby bar while I wait for our son Scott to come down and join me so we'll talk to you soon so just show you a little bit of a different vibe at 6 p.m. on a Thursday where the lobby bar is busy with people enjoying and after work libation [Music] looks like even if they even have entertainment a little piano and there's your Lobby right over there that's why they call it the lobby bar it is mr. cafe I'm sure for breakfast and such [Music] [Music] this is another lobby area yeah oh it's gorgeous isn't it look at this oh we have a prominent is their shops upstate yeah for us to do this too much anymore because the the casinos have really picked up the face and they have signs everywhere telling you where the uber is and rideshare everything because you know we've been into now but this one here is down by jewel the nightclub and we'll just show you the outside of the nightclub and then where you pick up the you barrette [Music] this is the nightclub this is jewel [Music] I would say look at the steps going up into it jewel nightclub is more than twenty four thousand square feet of pulsating sight and sound there are five themed to be IP suites and it features well-known DJs and performers that offer an unprecedented experience from all vantage points that's an entryway opaline we were twenty five again [Music] and it it makes a design as it's coming down it's it's unbelievable in person I I hope it comes out as well on the camera you can you can just see how high up it goes goes forever right by the nightclub you go out these doors [Music] and you're right share straight down that way you can just follow the signs and it's right there what if they ever tell you words that don't they look at that sign look at that sign those are canoes believe it or not can you believe that yeah that does it canoes so yeah they're in is the area Manship and there's your ever-present Starbucks as there is in every place and here's the hall that I don't know what this is and we're gonna check it out looks like the pool is down there [Music] ah the buffet is up here can I say it smells great it does it smells like chocolate chip cookies yeah along with bacon and eggs so there's your buffet for the area beautiful I'll tell you again it's been how many years since we've been in here five-star five-diamond and we never walk in the place what yeah there's the herringbone the dining concept that herringbone makes socializing as important as the food the menu is California Coastal with lots of seafood the 5,500 square foot patio in the middle of a lush garden is perfect for alfresco dining with old or new friends and then here's your convention center east and west boy this place is big [Music] look at some of the awards that these buildings have amassed over the years so this is for energy efficiency really oh you're right that's why so that's what the green was yes Wow here's your business center shout-out to whoever picked the carpet I love the carpet there is a third level there's a third level to the convention area seriously how incredibly beautiful is this steak or and the gardening in the convention center is mind-blowing that's live moss and and cacti see ya here's your wedding chapel it's on the first floor of the Convention Center right down the escalators and there's some folks in there filling out some paperwork so I don't want to intrude on their day their happy day but there is the wedding chapel this is Bardot's this lovely spot offers classic french comfort food as only chef Michael Mina can do it and it's got an amazing wine list as well [Music] you can get the best beef in the world Kobe a5 at this elegant steak house and so much more there are dozens of cuts of three kinds of beef from around the world plus seafood and unique side dishes beautiful organ here [Music] Carbone is a throwback to the great Italian American restaurants of the mid 20th century the menu is New York inspired Italian with all the classic dishes okay hang on hold on a sec when I went back on Thursday Dale wasn't with me I was there by myself and our son Scott and I both love Italian food so we decided to go out on a date and go have dinner at Carbone upstairs all right folks the food has arrived so I got spaghetti Pomodoro and you got what Scott what is that spicy something rigatoni spicy rigatoni and then we are going to share that big ol meatball it looks great [Music] we are done that was it it's gonna be kind of hard to actually film this whole place because it is so big we always say that though and we always huff and puff that we walk a thousand miles that is one thing about Las Vegas you are gonna walk a thousand miles if you stay in one of these places but I think it's worth it I think the whole thing is is that we don't know where everything is because we haven't been in here so we're discovering as we go I love it because it is it is a lot of discovery and it's so beautiful I'm gonna love gardening and whoever does the gardening in here it's amazing they did a great job real good job all right let's go try and find the pool yeah all right all right cool area down here let's check it out [Music] he's like a Zen feel here very relaxing [Music] the Aria pool deck is over 180,000 square feet and consists of one large and several smaller pools surrounded by tropical landscaping the 80,000 square foot salon and spa spans two floors and has a balcony overlooking the infinity edge pool outside you can see people are heading in to go to the swimming pool this is a fabulous fabulous resort it's right across from Starbucks the press Juicery we love this stuff there's nothing we like more than a nice shot of ginger ginger ginger shots oh yeah it is seriously it is yeah it's great stuff this is your sundry gift shop pretty amazing what do you think of that Paulo amazing in it no we're going down the next hall here is where the sky sweets are our access to the mists the sky sweets portion of Aria are what make it a five diamond five star property these exclusive suites have a private entrance and elevator and promise and elite experience that includes limo service to and from the airport [Music] welcome for lunch and dinner from 11 o'clock [Music] access to the 14th floor of aria courtesy of our son so here we are walking down the hallowed Hall the 14th floor so here we are I'd like to take advantage of this beautiful view out the 14th floor there's the sunset off to the west we're looking at Interstate 15 and then here we're going across - you could see Bellagio behind City Center and then right in front of us is the tower for the Vdara Hotel which is adjacent to the Aria and then next to that is the Cosmopolitan and actually during the day you get a great view of the Cosmopolitan roof deck pool you could start to see that aqua glow there panning downward a little bit we'll see Harmon Avenue which is your main access point for Aria and actually all of City Center and then back off to the west and the highway just to kind of give you a view of where Aria is in relation to the strip it's really in a great location and there's the sunset okay that's gonna do it for today I hope you enjoyed that video would you think the Aria I thought it was really a beautiful property I say that I want all of them but we had never been in there since the month they opened so I was dazzled by it check it out it was beautiful yeah it was it was quite a while since we were in there in fact I think we were in there like maybe like within weeks of when they open the door never since I feel terrible I Dale would have never made this mistake there I was down there at Aria with our son and I never turned the camera around and showed him to you oh my gosh you need to come with me or don't send me out with the
