Are Boss Mules ACTUALLY Inefficient? - Maplestory Boss Mules

I'm someone who has made a lot of videos on Boss mules tier lists showcases and funding guides so when I watch these two videos questioning boss mu efficiency it got me thinking about whether boss mes are really efficient to make or not I'm going to tell you why boss mules are efficient to make and more importantly when to work on making them so real quick if you don't know what a boss mule is essentially it's another character on your account that you can kill bosses with for money typically we get these Side characters to around level 220 and kill everything up to normal Lotus SL Damian and get around 1.3 Bill misos per week on each character it's a very good way of funding your main in the later part of the game and breaks the monotony of farming endlessly the first and most important thing to understand about bossing mules is when you should actually work on making them I've made videos on the topic discussing how to fund them and which ones are good but I've never made a video explicitly saying when a good time is to work on them in my opinion there are three circumstances where funding a boss meal is an efficient move to make the first one is when your main is at the point where it does not really need any more nodes and is very strong also when you have at least 6K Legion now what do I mean by that ultimately the biggest funding resource that goes into boss mules is nodes if you put nodes into them early and they take away from your Main's nodes you're just cucking your Main's damage at the cost of making a boss me what do I mean by very strong though on your main I mean your main should be at the point where you have started your Liberation at least which generally means around level 270 and can solo H Loman or even close to H Lucid also with 6K Legion your mule will gain a ton of free damage and help it clear its own bosses typically if your character is at this point of strength you won't really need any more nodes on it and the cost of upgrading your gear further is very expensive so an extra income like boss mules would benefit you a lot but getting to this point is best done through just grinding your main and saving money not necessarily from boss mu income the second point at which making a boss me is efficient is if there is some sort of event to boost the side character hyper burs are perfect for this during a hyper bur your burning character gets a ton of free resour resources and hits level 250 the game essentially hands out a free bossing meal every hyper bur event the resources you get from hyperburn are for that characters so you won't be sacrificing anything from your main also with new character creation events like the recent collie creation event collie characters got a ton of free resources for hitting level 230 that's another free boss mual essentially the third and arguably best reason to make a boss mual is simply if you just want to I've done this myself where I'm aware of my Main's progression taking a hit so that I can work on something I find fun in the moment if working on Boss meals is fun for you and it's something you really want to do then go for it nothing is more important than enjoying the game and if farming is going to make you burn out then go do something you find more enjoyable if that's making a boss meal then go do it besides these three things in the game I would say that making a boss meal is an inefficient play and I hate to be an efficiency Andy but it really is just the truth of the game now let's talk about how much it costs to make a boss Fel and how to do it properly also what we can expect from having these boss mes on our account when you're funding a boss M there are three resources that you can utilize to fund the character misos nodes and Arcane Force when you're at the point of funding a boss M you want to ask yourself what resource do I have the most of for example if you have a ton of nodes you won't have to spend as many misos or get pretty much any Arcane Force if you have little nodes then you'll have to spend more on misos and get more Arcane Force to compensate for the lack of nodes or just wait and go farm for nodes you want to utilize what you have the most of Arcane Force especially since we have weakly now gives you a ton of free damage and is very worth doing on Boss mes if you want the extra damage when funding boss mules properly you want to utilize events and free cubes slf Flames as well the biggest miso sync into making a boss M are two things starring your gear and getting your ws/ gloves to Legendary let's look at how much it costs typically I do not recommend going for anything higher than 16 stars on Boss mules you can actually stay at 12 Stars if you're someone who has a lot of nodes SL Arcane Force as well most people should go for 16 Stars though as it gives you a lot of bonus attack for not a lot of cost like I said before we should only be spending our misos on event so let's see how much it cost to get the 16 star with a 30% off event or a 5 10 15 event there are primarily three different level gear that you will be using level 140 gear like gold Clover belt or reinforced golux level 150 gear like crra or level 160 gear like absolab let's use these two gear setups as an example for our boss mes one has relatively easier items to get and the other is an example of someone who can fund a bit more and get gox gear so the first set has nine set normal boss set absolab for set crra 4 set treasure John ring Noble ifia ring and an event ring all in all this set of equips will run you just under 10 Bill if you do it with Star first events this cost can be even lower if you play the long game and use free cubes or even wa for miracle times with this set of equips and nodes and Arcane Force you can do all your weeklys in about 30 minutes assuming you know how to play the class even just a little bit this second set is for someone who wanted to fund their boss mu a little more to make things easier for themselves the most notable difference is the upgrade to absolab weapon Spin and four set reinforced skux in total this set of equips will cost around 12.5 bill to make assuming you use starers events of course and again this cost can be even lower if you decide to do it overtime with free cubes or even wait for a cubing event with a set of items like these you can definitely do all the bosses to a normal Lotus Jam in 30 minutes or under so we know that spending on star/ pots will take you anywhere between 10 to 12 bill to make a boss bu in a decently efficient way I want to say that this cost can be drastically lower depending on three things if you decide to play the long game and use free resources SL cubes or wait for cubing events the cost on cubes will lower a lot if you have a ton of nodes you can save on upgrading the gear as well and lastly if you're someone who does not mind taking longer than 30 minutes to clear all the bosses then you don't have to fund as hard now what other hidden costs are there when funding a boss mule because technically the time you spend on the mule is time not spent grinding on your main and making money right if you're killing around 14k mobs per hour on your main you'll be making around 450 m misos per hour plus however many nodes and in the future so era you get so basically every hour you spend on your bossing mual to get it to 220 is additional cost spent on the boss meal assuming you know what you're doing and can train properly on your boss me it would take around 6 hours to get to level 220 from 200 that's straight grinding so that's an additional 2.7 bill in misos you could have made just training on your main let's say another 2 hours to open your nodes enhance your gear do dailies on your boss meal to get it up and running too that's another 900 mil which totals 3.6 Bill and potential misos you could have made on your main now keep in mind this cost is if you train your boss meal straight up from 200 to 220 which is another thing that I do not recommend doing there are plenty of events and free resources you can utilize to make the training process much easier just doing daily SL Monster Park on your mule can get you to 210 in no time often times during events there are growth potion select their coupons as well that you can use to get to 210 or 220 for free if you utilize events and free resources the time to get to 220 can be cut in half at least and so instead of 3.6 Bill Mees of additional cost it would only be around 1.8 bill or even less bringing it all to a grand total of anywhere between 12 Bill to 142 Bill to fully fund a boss meal and that's on the high end of cost boss mules make you around 1.3 Bill per week and give you free Cube slf flames you can use to fund even more Future boss mules thus lowering the cost each time you make a new one now I know that was a lot of information and numbers but here's the point if you're making your boss mules properly meaning you're doing them on event and utilizing free resources it should not take you more than 14 Bill Muses to full make a very solid boss meal that clears everything within 30 minutes easily that 14 buillt cost is at the high end as well the more boss meals you make the easier it becomes because each boss me will give you even more free resources you can use to fund the next one I know a lot of people that have spent anywhere between 5 to 7 Bill misos only to create their boss meal just remember that making boss meals is a long process and doing it the long way is the best way to go about it to summarize prioritize your main until it's about 270 with Max nodes and running Black Mage that then put the resources your main gets into boss mules slowly and utilize all the events don't rush a boss M if you fund boss mules in the correct way you can start profiting only after 2 to 3 months I hope this video helped and give you all a better understanding of the process of making boss meals
