Budapest my favorite thing about Budapest did you like working there I did actually it took me a few weeks to get used to it obviously but we didn't really all know each other very well but once we saw got our band together and going and and finding our little places and restaurants to eat and yeah had to say a very very very first day shooting was in one of Budapest's famous landmarks and I'm not gonna say which so it was one of the famous lamo so whenever I have people come and visit me I would take them to to that Lombok this is where we shot our very very first day so obviously with the books being set in this sort of bizarre Punk the amazing world which has brushed the winds but but so we've got this old world European feel but this Eastern an Eastern feel with all the costumes and the sets and everything so when we did get to use some of the buildings in Budapest amazing amazing place to be a place to shoot very sick but with the with the with the exotic vibe of the show yeah yeah it was a good time wasn't it it was a good time man loved it loved it right I'll be keeping these short and sweet things we want to try and get this under an hour so we can save it for people that are at work and stuff in those videos they're amazing and yeah hang out with everyone else my kid thanks man thanks for coming on thank you mate bye oh no I nearly canceled good actual I've seen there's a lot of what I would normally do in in normal life without being in isolation lot cooking a lot of reading watching movies and TV shows and all of that sort of stuff and any recommendations for the people I started watching Hollywood on Netflix the other night and I was when I was only planning to watch like a couple of episodes I started watching in about 6:30 p.m. and I watched all seven episodes and I was upset about two o'clock in one watching it it's really good just really really good I think you should check out there's a lot of little very very cool people in it chou-heung personally just said that hey guys he doing yeah in any any question is one what go after slash actress to you with more the most look I was having this conversation with a friend last night actually there are many there are many many many but the one person I've always liked is Giovanni Ribisi even people that don't know that is theirs he played Phoebe's brother Frank in friends he's a huge I'm a big fan of his but slightly further back in time and that Marlon Brando is a big a big inspiration of mine I've got picture of him up on my wall just there so yeah Marlon Brando for obvious reasons because he's like a king to me Ben bond says is it him is it had been only only when we're not working together Ben yet and women are working together I actually did go up for World Book Day once I went dressed as a knight from Narnia did you get sent home I didn't know I bet Ben's loving that she proposed properly there's an Italian question in there do you know you know you mother hasn't come up yet different different times I can't see unless to turn into like a menu both to sort of like them what the risk cats have been played which character have you played which is your favorite and why and I think playing d'Artagnan in the Musketeers was a lot of fun just because of everything that came with it like the bootcamp learning to sword fight horse ride and spending three years with people who are consider now some friends it was just an amazing experience from start to finish and I'm very very thankful every day for that one that one really really sticks out obviously skins as well with them would that be my first ever my first ever acting job gig there's you could kick the start on man good lead to start as a long old process at nine auditions for that whole long long process yeah it meant a lot to me when I got it obviously so yeah they're very very very interesting years of my life man goes to steal for that sort of audition process nine that's mental yeah a lot a lot a lot what else we got an assessment let's answer some more questions for the lovely people do I relate to David yes I do relate to David I actually kind of relate to David I'm relating more to David now that we're in isolation because I I've always had this idea in my head the Dave was quite introvert and he you know he sort of spends a lot of time you know in his office so to speak sort of coming up with all these amazing creations and inventions and whatnot so yeah I do it I do relate to David in many ways I think he's I think he's a real sweetheart and he's got a lot of he's got a lot of a lot of love to give join the inventions to show us an invention in isolation if we did this last night I could shown you do chicken fajitas that I invented last night that I made to say lucky enough a nice snack that's just so yeah homemade guacamole mate it was all there yeah yeah yeah old that was like old el Pasto in my apartment last night oh I can't wait to come round I can't wait to pretty much always sort of social distance and in those other places it's like is that is that way it's like is it very like you know yeah I've got neighbors surfing yeah yeah yeah no it's not it's not like we're not in like a little town where you're walking up or and you're gonna bump into people and everything like that there's a you know there's a there's a certain amount of distance between even properties like the properties are kind of spacious and like grass maybe sort of like wraps up we're in London it's like everyone's on top of each other I know man that's why I thought about sticking around in LA but it's like you know being stuck in that apartment over there you know spending time with the family here so yeah good things considered yeah yeah I remember when the cow cow came a bit later and I was you know I thought I was doing pretty well in the gym with Gary Gary you do trains trains everyone and I'm thinking I'm pretty proud of myself and then Anna Cowan's up and ruins it it's absolutely massive and then one day my thighs on Instagram live yes lovely fives mate that's the truth any questions right let's say let's say yes I'm gonna stop flying mm-hmm oh there's a favorite thing about Mattias yeah Matthias is pretty amazing man I feel very lucky to be able to play him I think just anytime you get to play a character that has that kind of Arc and gross you know and that's cool man it's cool to have somebody that starts in a certain place and gets a cap yeah you know have some kind of evolution you know I think she's a really you know honorable do that heart and kind of has he's kind of old-school in a lot of ways and then obviously when he meets Nina and just open up and change his worldview it's pretty cool man cuz I think I relate to that a lot in my own life and I can draw a lot of comparisons and that's been yeah yeah yeah yeah wicked alright I'm so sorry to be like this but I'm not Frank I've been trying really hard to get everyone in and bone the musical it's a serious serious possibility golly but em yes so well done and I suppose what do I love about an edge and I'm not answering that I mean because I'm not feeding you're not okay what is my favorite thing about the book and I suppose my favorite things like the books that's really hard I think like obviously I looked at their point of view characters because I think that is important because you get rose zoology and hey honey but I got like an insight into all of the different characters and I think when you're trying to play a character it's really important obviously get inside their head and inside their mind as much as possible but also what their opinions are at the other people because I think you learn a lot about a person and by how they think about and treat and talk about other people and also how the other characters talk about Nina so I feel like you get like a really amazing rounded view of them and also Leigh bardugo the way she writes her characters I'm sorry but like it's incredible they're also like complex and flawed and lovable and disastrous and at the end of the day just trying to do their best and I think that like I find that really relatable because I suppose I'd use all those words maybe to describe myself and but like we're all just trying to do our best and no one really knows what they do at the end of the day yeah we try and which was not me we drive I will try my best to hold it in that way but just wasn't going to happen I had to go I'm sorry Danny I'm gonna get sacked I'm gonna beat up do this again I'm gonna to look at any of it objectively because we all see it through our character's eyes but um but like when I when I read Jasper after getting apart then I was like oh yeah this is this something I can really kind of relate to and that was really really kind of fun and interesting and it's just a joy to play because he's it because he's a guy that just you know lives life to the forces loads of fun no more funerals easy [ __ ] Harry lot of skills oh yeah oh yeah yeah I'm always doing a great job with your training thank you really thank you yeah it just kind of gave me a pair of fathers and when biceps I think my favorite book was probably six of crows I read it I think I read it like three times and heard it on the audiobook at least twice because I [ __ ] love that burg any tips for hair well this is how long it is it's growing even more since quarantine it's I mean I think it's past my bum now but just don't do anything I I think I all it once a week and then just wash it three times feels like forever and like I've known you all forever which is a sort question there sorry what was it what was your audition in process like I don't know how much I don't know I don't know what we're allowed we're not allowed to say really but I guess audition process is awry isn't it yeah the audition process so um as far as I'm aware so they did a worldwide search for Alina you know cuz I made that decision to make her mixed-race they want her to be half shoe half Rabkin so they put out this worldwide you know search um and I remember getting the audition through and I'm really excited I've never heard of the books and so I immediately went and bought them and sort of read them on the way to the audition and because great had went in a bunch of times um you know it felt really good about it but you know you're never sure really these things like and and then ya got the job then had chemistry reads with your your wonderful self when we first yeah I remember that August in August yeah yeah um and it was a really good process we had such a great casting team and they managed to get together you know some of my now favorite people in the entire world so you know by the way like everyone is spot on there's you know there's no one that we don't like everyone loves each other it's good yeah almost a little bit too much yeah what so what else we got here questions I can't this is coming up he's coming really slowly okay yeah I'll ask you a question what was the highlight of your time filming obviously you know not talking about any scenes or anything but just you know something that like that happened there you were just like you know it was hilarious oh we're just really memorable oh god there's so many I mean I think just just the fact that I don't know how come but we like mood is named have such a amazing group and and while everyone was super professional on set they have so much fun and everyone was you know I spent so much my day laughing my head off which was great and I think just being with all you guys really um you know it was great we had him you know obviously all work together but then a lot of fun outside of work as well right um any other question yeah favorite movie someone's asking you what your favorite movie is that's really hard one because it's like what's your favorite movie and what you know a really good movie sometimes your favorite movie is terrible and you're embarrassed by subjective isn't it there is gonna be judgement but I've got too many actually I don't like for you of my list um we've got fifty seconds left
