pretty impressive they've been getting better and better every single week with the ark a770 and the Ark a750 specifically being pretty good value options but I think you guys are going to be a little bit like me you're more excited about maybe the little bit faster cards as long as they're good value well I got great news because we just got another huge updates on Intel's next Generation gpu's code Nam battle mage from the well-known leaker red gaming Tech who has leaked a ton of information on battle mage and a lot of it has seemed pretty credible but of course they're all leaks so take it with the grain of salt but let's not waste any more time let's go ahead and take a look at some of the information that he just dropped because it's very very exciting stuff guys now you might have remembered in my last battle mage update I was pretty excited because it looked like the way they were creating these gpus would mean they would be very very affordable and still pretty powerful however according to Red gaming Tech and I'll throw it up on screen right now there has been a change or maybe some miscommunication between him and his sources and it's looking like the top Flagship GPU from Intel is going to be even more powerful than we were originally thinking now I'm going to go ahead and throw it together in a chart for you guys so we can kind of compare it to well the current Intel gpus as well as some Nvidia cards to see just how powerful this card will be and try and figure out you know what is this going to cost so taking a look look first at the ark b970 one thing you're going to notice is that the XC cores are actually less than the arc a770 however according to Red gaming Tech that's because they're doubling the Alo which actually means even though it looks like it's less well it's going to be doing potentially theoretically double the amount of computes per the XE core that it's in of course it's a little bit more complicated than that but I think that's a good enough explanation for this video so taking a look at the rest of the specs we're talking about 5120 Alo versus the 96 on the a770 and of course this is just the cut down version of their Flagship GPU and it's cut down quite a bit so to see it be considerably more powerful at least on paper than the current RK a 770 with it being this cut down that's already pretty impressive it's also apparently going to be likely reaching boost clocks between 2.8 to 3 GHz have 16 megabytes of L2 cache once again and this time it's going to have 12 gab gddr6 running on a 192bit bus for around 480 gab per second which should be plenty for this card but guys I know you're thinking what's the flagship how fast is it going to be well let's go ahead and take a look at the spec so the ark b980 which is likely to be the name will have 32 XE cores once again however this means it's going to have double the amount of AO at 8,192 theoretically double the compute as well as a much higher boost clock of 2.8 to 3 GHz like the b970 except for this one's going to have likely according to Red gaming Tech somewhere between 24 to 32 megab of L2 cach and 16 GB of gddr6 which I think could be running up to 24 gbits per second but we'll have to wait and see it may be slower than that and that would on a 256-bit bus give it 768 GB per second of memory bandwidth pretty impressive stuff but how do it Stack Up in actual performance and pricing well taking a look first at the b970 it should could be in theory well around 57% faster than the ark a770 and at 225 Watts or potentially lower in an MSRP of $350 likely to be the case this is going to be a really huge increase in terms of value over the ark a770 and in fact it's not going to be too far off from something like an RTX 470 and at that price that's pretty good but honestly I think the more exciting one is the full GPU with the b980 this thing should be giving us around 20 50% of the a770 performance which would put it actually well above the RTX 470 TI on paper and just behind the RTX 480 and I think it's going to be doing it for around 280 WTS and at a price of Just Around $450 now the reason as to why I'm saying $450 for this GPU is that well I've sat down and done a lot of math I'm not going to bore you with it but based on leaks around how large the die is likely going to be as well as the slightly increased cost of the well memory subsystem this shouldn't be too much more expensive to produce than the ark a770 it will be more expensive for sure but not two three times as expensive so $450 for this card is actually very realistic and if it's coming down at least in terms of compute of very close to an RTX 480 in terms of performance that is very impressive however I do think it's important to keep in mind that compute does not translate to gaming performance and although I do expect these cards will continue to age like fine wine much like the Arc gpus well on launch I do expect that the actual gaming performance is going to be closer to a 4070 TI and not a 480 even though the compute would put it close to a 480 but maybe with time it can get close to that RTX 480 after driver updates only time will tell and with that same 16 GB of memory and potentially more memory bandwidth this could be a really good 4K card depending on when it launches and speaking of when it launches well when's that going to be and according to Red gaming Tech this this has not changed he leaked aide a little while ago and it does show and he does actually confirm in his video that they're likely targeting Q2 or at the latest Q3 of this year and if they do meet those targets as it looks like they probably will well then yeah we're not going to be too far off if it's Q2 of getting our hands on the b980 and well potentially at least in terms of compute you're getting an RTX 480 for essentially less than half the price and again the same amount of vram at the same time so really really impressive stuff of course we'll have to wait and see whether or not these leaks turn out to be true when it does launch and how fast it's really going to be depends on of course the driver stability and how good those drivers are but if it can do anywhere near that this is going to be probably the most exciting GPU launch that I have ever seen but that's just why I think do you think that the Intel Arc gpus are really going to be that exciting or do you think I'm having delusions of grandeur once again let me know your guys thoughts in the comments below and of course I'll see you in the next video If you made it to the end of the video be sure to drop a like every time you do so AMD and Nvidia release new gpus also if you want to see more check out one of these related videos you won't be disappointed
