So crazy to see that initial line spit out EF-2/EF-3 tornadoes in the early morning hours. It was a sign of how unstable the environment was that day.

The atmosphere only needed 5 hours to fully destabilize after the first line. Then came the supercell parade...

Quite a few EF4's and 5's in there I hadn't heard of, crazy.

IIRC the main event wasn't supposed to start until around 3pm, and here you have the first big cell of the day drop a catastrophic EF5 at 2pm. I remember thinking that they weren't making enough of a big deal out of the Philadelphia storm for how good it looked on radar. Seems like it caught a few mets by surprise, being the first supercell out in the moisture returned air and going absolutely ballistic.

This was not a fun day. I was 11 at the time, and an EF4 completely destroyed one of the schools and plenty of houses and businesses in my area. This is what really started my storm anxiety

Is there a version that includes more of Mississippi?

I lived in TN and worked in Chattanooga at that time. I knew the day was going to be bad; I had no idea it was going to be that bad. Had an EF4 within a mile of our house and listening to the police scanner that night was like being in a horror movie. I never want to experience anything like that again.
