welcome back to the Morning News first update of the day what do they say I suck at this ah hey guys Caitlyn with gravel here this Lance we are so stoked for the response on the previous video that we posted on the Apple Vision Pro thank you so much for all the love and the hate comments either way they're comments but today we're actually going to address some of your common questions and comments about the Apple Vision Pro because this is new tech we found out a lot of stuff the day that we used them in the airport just just as much as anyone else I mean how else were we supposed to know but it's super cool cuz I think it really shows how intuitive Apple products are I mean the first day you had your iPhone you probably had no clue like I remember when they got rid of the home button and then it went to swipe up it felt weird but you figured out quite quickly so now even just days later we're much more like fluent in the Apple Vision language 100% one of the most popular comments was that we should have turned travel mode on so that we could use the apps while walking but uh it actually turns out that it doesn't work yeah essentially what travel mode is for is the airplane is going to be real shaky and bumpy and everything that you're seeing is all tracked and so travel mode just does a better job I don't know if it processes it more or whatever but does a better job tracking to make sure it stays stable and isn't all jittery and whatever while walking it doesn't keep your stuff with you unfortunately I mean on Apple's website it says adapts to give you the best experience while traveling on an airplane uses an array of sensors to see the environment around you and keep the items in your view stable that doesn't mean track them with you so I did an experiment here I turned travel mode on you'll see it and they definitely don't stay with you you have to literally grab that little Bottom bar and you have to walk with it like Lance did that's kind of hacking The Vision Pro spatial Computing system because ultimately these were made for sitting down and using them to work or watch a movie or do things in a stable environment even walking with with the with a big screen in front of me it's far enough away I never felt like I was going to run into anything or run into anyone or like obstruct anyone's anything it felt kind of safe I mean we're not suggesting you do it but for me personally I wasn't like I didn't feel Reckless while walking holding that either you're completely aware of your surroundings I think the trippiest thing is that you are seeing the world basically in the exact same way we're just talking about how you wouldn't know that these are cameras see your world the only time you notice it is when you're in low light because it's noisy looks like you're watching a noisy video you know like where there's grain you definitely can see everything that's going on when your apps are not moving they are hard to see through which I'll actually play a clip I put the weather app up outside and a guy was walking down the stairs and I couldn't see him because the weather app was huge and all I saw was like his shoes pop up under the app and it freaked me out but I wasn't moving I was just like like whoa like seeing him emerge from this app basically okay so another one was that if we were to click the crown we could reenter the apps so when Lance lost his text messages and the YouTube app and he had to go backwards to go get them that was honestly hilarious did we know that you could click the crown to recenter them at that time no minutes later yes but it was so funny that it was like we have to put this in the video because like I said we're your average user like we are Travelers first but we love Tech and so we wanted to Showcase what it was like like have you ever lost your apps in an airport before or walk through your text messages to turn it off we also got a bunch of comments saying cuz we mentioned that you can disconnect this to turn it off um a lot of people said that you can hold both top buttons to turn it off we're still just going to disconnect it to turn it off yeah another thing you guys brought up was that we didn't test the immersive videos and photos on an airplane which you're right we didn't but I'm going to show you some just from kind of testing it out here the high quality of the photo is so good that you do feel like you're genuinely in that scenario like the Mount Hood one or whatever when it like you know covers the whole thing so it's also noted I know some movies have 3D things and you can whatever that's all copyrighted so the machine physically won't let us screen record any of that stuff um so I did test some some of that stuff out on the airplane uh on my flight back but we couldn't show it literally wouldn't record any of it there's no image oh cuz I'm screen recording oh this is the saddest part of the movie dang it how does the 3D movie look though I mean it feels like I have 3D goggles on and I'm at the movie theater yeah interesting I can hear it a little bit so 3D movies suck in the theater I feel like I can never get the glasses quite right where this it just feels really natural mhm that's huh that's cool like this makes me want to go watch 3D movies which I've never felt that in my entire life yeah true he's currently using the spatial audio which is the Dual driver audio pods so they're not headphones they're basically the spatial audio driver pod that gives you sound to the outside and he's going to when he does the Persona uh you actually hear it speak to you know you because you have to take them off your head so you guys will hear that right now so one of the comments was how when we set up our Persona Lance was sitting against a window which means he's back lit so we made it way harder on the Persona beta to basically create his Persona which yes you're 100% correct so we're going to redo it in literally Studio lighting to try to help it out with the best case scenario lighting and uh then we'll compare the two personas side by side and that will really tell us who wins one feature that I am pretty bummed about because guest mode in and of itself kind of makes it a little bit difficult to share um you can't currently maybe this is coming in an update please Apple uh you cannot currently connect to another MacBook or computer which I'm guessing is a security setup um outside of your iCloud account so if I'm wearing the headset I've clicked the button four times I've reset it to my hands and eyes and I'm able to use it you know open apps do my thing when I look at my MacBook it shows a connect on the top but when I click it it actually only connects to Lan's because it's Lance's iCloud that's connected to the headset so you would have to basically set up a new iCloud account to be able to use it specifically for your workstation should be noted too that the screen recording didn't do a great job in a lot of instances of showing some depth well specifically depth there's a couple examples one uh the janitor scene uh when I lose the apps behind me and I have to go back and get them uh we just look back over and it looks like I'm like right on this dude but I I was actually like 5 ft away from him I didn't feel the need to like a like I wasn't close enough to be like oh Sor sorry whatever at the time it was like the dude was far away but the app is literally really connected to his garbage can uh so I totally get how it looks that way but uh the other one is uh on the airplane when I had the monitor um Caitlyn even put a comment that said like I don't judge Lance's measurements the app was actually the window was like 10 ft away from me and it was huge but on the screen it looks close to me and small and so the I think just in general you guys should go to the actual Apple Store and go try these out so you like get a grasp for how you move things closer and further away because the screen recordings just don't really do it justice okay last thing was testing basically work mode with as many windows running through the laptop and all different apps that were around our workspace so I'll show you guys that clip right now and one of the coolest things that we did was throw the to-do list up above the camera so I mean obviously you'd have to be wearing them to see that to-do list but it was a fun concept because maybe someday there will be a way where you can like these will be a lot less intense and maybe they'll just be normal glasses and you could just be wearing normal glasses and then you see your to-do list or it's a teleprompter and you don't have to do any setup it's just a virtual teleprompter like those kind of things when I was doing that whole environment I literally felt like Tony Stark M like like I am Iron woman so this this is a thought I just had is on set though if you're on a bigger production you have a producer or even a director you could have their line their specific lines above them the director could be wearing this out of frame and helping or the producer having like the checklist here and having their lines and having making sure everything's going well I think for a bigger set it could be rad actually true or yeah there's a million other applications like that where so many for work cases especially in the creative field there's probably a lot lot of good use cases another thing I tried was throwing the weather app outside so when you leave this office you go upstairs and I thought that could be cool like you're headed out for the day or whatever maybe you're traveling somewhere and you have like your weather app so before you even like get out from under the building you're able to see what weather you're about to experience for the rest of the day I mean obviously we're so used to just looking on our phone and having a weather app open um but it was fun it was cool to try and then I had a jump scare moment where there was a man behind the window I didn't see him his feet popped out it was a little scary he was also scared of me I was wearing like terrifying you know a VR headset so good time I'll do begin capture the last one I did with a beanie on which actually worked out really well I'm going to try it with a hat I'm almost always wearing a beanie or a hat so it people won't recognize me if I don't have one of those two on all right so begin capture remove it I'll throw last time it made me hold it out so far and hold Apple Vision Pro at eye level and my shoulders started bur the right now tilt your head up legit your head down shoulders burn doing this it's like okay hold let's capture your facial expressions smile with your mouth closed what if it's picking your head by it I didn't smile whoops uhoh he's going to be make a big smile he's going to be an angry Persona adjust your head by tilting it slightly down oh slightly yeah take that stupid hat off is what I about now raise your eyebrows Close Your Eyes For a Moment capture complete put Vision Pro back on to continue let's see it this is the moment of truth if his Persona looks any better not being backlit which I would assume it is creating Persona beta also somebody commented yeah didn't it say it's in beta yes yeah a lot of comments were saying did you guys know that Persona is in beta yes we did it was still shocking how it looks and see seeing those googly eyes stare at you I mean you just don't know what it's like until you're looking no oh no did it pull me in no it it made my it it made my eyebrows attached to my hat bill it's incredible no way so I think it's been proven obviously it's in beta they still suck pretty this is the best possible Lighting in the best possible scenario and it looked less like me well you did I did have a hat on but even from here down without my hat did not look very close somebody compared it to the Polar Express and I think that's spot on you're like it's almost real but just gross yeah it's little little grosser yeah I think children would be scared but in like a I bet in a year or two it's going to be like wo this is incredible true oh this is another really cool feature which is is you can actually stream what you're seeing on the Apple Vision Pro to your TV to your laptop to your desktop whatever it is so people around you can actually feel like they're immersed in the experience with you versus having to explain it because when you have them on you want to explain what you're seeing another feature that I think would be really cool is if they allow for external audio recording we know that this thing has the intake speakers because you're able to do talk to text um because getting wearing them and then being able to capture the audio of the environment around you would be really cool but as of right now when you screen record you're just getting the internal sounds that are playing into your ears through the spatial audio so or through the Dual pod well thank you guys for watching this has been way fun creating that last video being awkward in the airport uh we're Travelers first we're just covering Tech which is just always a good time we're stoked it's been a journey and I think in the tech space we have a lot of incredibly talented knowledgeable a little bit serious Tech reviewers and there's a place for that but we kind of wanted to bring our personalities which we cooky we're traveling all the time and we wanted to just bring that Essence around Apple Vision Pro and so yeah thanks for checking out this video and the previous one and we'll see you in the next one make sure you subscribe don't forget though don't forget to subscribe yeah sure remember that for sure definitely don't [Music] forget oh
