If we get Animoji for non iPhone X devices (and a jailbreak) Iād be so happy
Guys, think about it.. if your Snapchat filters work on your iPhone 6,....
Yeah FaceRIG has been able to do this on PC for a couple of years without any special webcams.
It actually uses both, the IR sensor and the Camera : https://www.imore.com/yes-animoji-uses-truedepth-camera-system-iphone-x
It uses the 3D Depth Camera to make the Animoji "stick" to your face better You could technically use Animoji without it
Camera may still be different in some ways, unless someone has confirmed its the same module as it is in other phones.
I would if someone could make that notification tweak in lockscreen. If you place your finger on touchid without pressing the button, shows the content like how it does on face id. That would really be awesome
That makes sense, the animoji feature is disabled in low light, which the truedepth camera should be able to do regardless of lighting scenarios.
Couldn't we just make an iOS messages app that is basically Snapchat using premade c/c++ frameworks and modifying them so that it will work on all, not just jailbroken, devices?
