Apple’s iPhone 15 Event & Beyond - What to Expect!

so we're approaching the halfway point of 2023 already and so far we've had two big launches from Apple the January launch which is when we got the new Macbook Pros with the M24 and M2 Max chips alongside the new M2 and M2 Pro Mac Mini and then the June launch which is when we got the 15-inch MacBook Air the new M2 Ultra Mac Pro the M2 Ultron M2 Max Max studio alongside the reveal of the Apple Vision Pro headset as well as iOS 17 and all the rest of the software updates so now you're all probably wondering what is next for Apple well there are likely going to be two more launches the September launch followed by the October launch so in terms of September launch this is pretty much a no-brainer Apple's going to have a big event like they do every year where they will be unveiling the latest iPhone in this case the iPhone 15 lineup we've already done quite a few videos on all the latest leaks and rumors and everything to expect in terms of the iPhone 15s including a recent hand ends on video with some Dimension accurate 3D case models that I welcome you guys to check out if you want to learn all the details but if you want a quick summary this is what you need to know the non-pro models so the iPhone 15 and 15 plus seem to be getting the dynamic Island that the iPhone 14 pro introduced as well as a redesigned frame that would be a bit more rounded and therefore making both models more comfortable to hold or in this USBC will finally be coming although at a slower speed than the Pro Models and of course just like the previous years Apple will be using the same chip as the pro models of the year before so the a16 chip in the non-pro models and a frosted glass back has also been rumored that would match the finish that's been on the Pro Models ever since the iPhone 11 Pro that's pretty much it with the standard models it's not looking like we'll be getting the same camera as on the iPhone 14 pros at least judging by the measurements of the case models which are very similar to the measurements of the camera modules on the current iPhone 14s now on the pro side we are said to be getting some big upgrades so with the iPhone 15 Pro this one's getting the new a17 chip which is said to be based on a smaller three nanometer manufacturing process we are also said to be getting 8 gigabytes of RAM up from six that more rounded frame from the regular 15s as well as a new titanium finish that would make it lighter and also more durable the 15 Pro is also getting a bit smaller and a bit more compact based on the case models that we've had to look at plus the bezels are also getting noticeably thinner compared to the 14 Pros but probably my favorite feature would be this new action button that's set to allow us to assign specific apps and functions just like you can with the Apple watch Ultra the 15 Pro Max however this is where the biggest changes are said to be so on top of all the changes that a 15 Pro is bringing you to the table with a 15 Pro Max apple is said to be including a periscope Zoom module that would bump the optical zoom level from the current 3x to something like 5 or 6X I'm also expecting Apple to be using a higher resolution sensor here similar to what Google is doing with the pixel 7 Pro and therefore we could see a very usable 10x to 30X digital zoom on the 15 Pro Max not only that but the main sensor is rumored to be getting bigger do something that is close to one inch in size or better depth of field and also for better low light performance aside from this the pro Max is also getting narrower and shorter which combined with the more rounded frame makes it noticeably more comfortable than the 14 pro Max of course that titanium finish would also make it lighter as well so if you've been just like me and you've been avoiding the pro Max model because of how uncomfortable it felt well the 15 Pro Max might be the time to reconsider the size fun fact I'm actually switching to the pro Max from the 14 pro so that's everything that's expected in terms of the iPhone now aside from the iPhone 15 lineup the September event will most likely bring us the new 2023 Apple watch lineup as well and here the main change is in order to be be the new chip that both the series 9 and the Apple watch Ultra 2 would feature and that is the Apple watch S9 chip some of you might know that ever since the Apple Watch series 6 from back in 2020 Apple has been using the exact same chip inside all of their Apple watch models including the ultra this year multiple reliable sources are claiming that Apple will finally be updating that chip to something new and this is actually a pretty big deal as I believe that this chip is more than likely going to be based on a smaller five nanometer manufacturing process from the current 7 nanometers which would result in more efficiency which in turn could result in better battery life on both the series 9 and the ultra 2. the app watch SC is unlikely going to get updated as the second gen came out in 2022 with the first gen launching in 2020 so it seems like Apple's aiming to update the SC every two years rather than every year like they do with the non-se model so that's mostly it for the Apple watch there are no new health sensors being rumored one thing that we might see could be a darker color for the Apple watch Ultra alongside some updated bands also at a September event we might see an updated version of the airpods max as The Originals launched back in 2020 so yeah an update is desperately needed although don't expect any major changes if anything I would expect the design to remain exactly the same and the only change to be the chip on the inside updated to the H2 from the H1 and just like the second gen airpods Pro having that new chip alone would automatically bring us much improved noise canceling up to 2x Improvement improve transparency as well as that new adaptive audio mode that merges transparency and noise canceling into one also with the original airpods Maxes we actually had two H1 chips one in each ear cup and if this trend continues and we get two H2 chips we could see even better Performance Audio and you know noise canceling wise than compared to what the H2 chip brought us on the airpods pro 2s and lastly September is also when we usually see the final versions of Apple's software launched to the public in this case iOS 17 iPad was 17 watch OS 10 as well as tvos 17. we have made a more detailed video on iOS 17 should you want to check out all of its newest features this is mostly it for September but of course that just like in the previous years we are likely going to have an October launch as well this could either be by an October event or an October press release depending on the products that we would see so far we're expecting six things here the first one being an updated iPad Mini which was last updated back in 2021 now the current model comes with the a15 chip so we could see either the a16 or the a17 I'm gonna put my money on the a16 though don't expect any other updates aside from this new chip in fact according to Ming Chico we could only see this new Mini in the first quarter of 2024 if we do see it this year it would most likely be in October which is usually when Apple tends to release new iPads speaking of new iPads the iPad Air is also likely to get updated as this was last updated back in March of 2022 and in this case we would get the M2 Chip putting it on par with the M2 iPad Pros but aside from this and maybe that apple pencil hover feature from the new iPad Pros yeah don't expect anything new which brings us to the max now even though we just got a new 50-inch MacBook Air literally last week that is still running on Apple's M2 Chip that was introduced back in June of 2022 the M3 chip has been rumored for a really long time and it is said to bring some significant improvements in terms of both performance and efficiency thanks to its being based on a smaller three nanometer manufacturing process late 2023 has actually been a longer release for the M3 chip and according to Mark German apple is already testing the M3 chip for both the 13-inch and the 15-inch MacBook Pro however in his latest report he said that he now believes uh these two only launch in 2024. now this wouldn't even make sense given that we just got the new 50-inch air and updating both models with the M3 chip in October would upset a lot of 15-inch air customers while updating just a 13-inch to M3 might have the same effect for anyone who bought a 13-inch after Apple's recent price drop so if we do still get the M3 chip this year it would be in October otherwise it would likely be in March of 2024. the same goes for the M3 13-inch MacBook Pro either in October or in March 2024 and here aside from the new M3 chip there isn't much else to expect if anything I would expect Apple to just cancel this MacBook especially now that we have the 50 inch air starting at the exact same price that gives you a newer and thinner design a larger display Max safe better speakers a better webcam a headphone jack with high impedance headphone support and more color options same story with the M3 iMac it fully depends on when we get the M3 chip if we somehow get it in October we'll see the M3 iMac in October which is really Apple's most out of date desktop which is still running the M1 chip and lastly we have macwest Sonoma which should launch in October as Macos releases for whatever reason usually launch a month or so after the iOS release
