hi welcome to simply school here we have the apex xdx 200 regulator so this comes with the highest xdx 200 second stage we have all the bells and whistles and that's the metal detail around the front and it also comes with the FS our first stage so if we look at that first the SSR is a environmentally sealed first day so you don't have to worry about the water or contaminants getting into the working parts this improves the cold water performance and means that you don't have to wash it quite as thoroughly you do still have to wash it obviously but you don't have to wash the salt out of the inside of the regulator for low pressure ports two on each side there each angle so it's a little bit easier to to route your hoses and you get angled high pressure ports - one on each side - to angle your your gauges off of now it's connected onto your second stage fire abraded hose much lighter than traditional rubberized hose and it will show a bit more flexible as well so they're a bit easier to to pack and to move around the second stage this is where all the adjustment comes in so first off as we get to the connector you can see apex have put this little cutout and that's made for a cable ties you can put a little bolt snap onto that if you want that's what that little cutout is for this is ambidextrous so a technician can disassemble the inside and make it so the hose ropes instead of from the right side into the left side so if you're on sort of twin sets or side mount or you just want to to change the routing where your hoses a technician can sort of adjust the orientation for you on the front cover this is the xdx front cover but as you can see on the 200 it has this sort of shiny metal again that just improves the cold water performance a little bit but it's mainly there for us big easy to use purge button and it's two-stage as well so if you push it a little bit you'll get a little bit of gas if you push it all the way in it will give you sort of all the gas it can on the side you have adjustable venturi so that's going to interrupt free flows and adjust the airflow on the inside preventing free flows you've got adjustable breathing you can tighten it up make it a little bit stiffer to breathe or you can lighten it up just to make it a little bit lighter to breathe this comes with the confer bite mouthpiece so nice and compact very comfortable you've got the bridge over the top as well so you don't get your fatigue and you have a removal or exchangeable tea so you can disconnect this at a wide tea and put a much more low profile one that comes with it in the box very quick and easy to fit there so a great all-around regulator fairly lightweight so you can still travel with this but it's great in cold water as well this is the apex XCX 200 if you missed our latest episode of weird wednesday you can click on the link at the top to watch that thanks for watching safe diving [Music] [Music]
