Antione buys a tractor! 4430 vs 4440!

we're gonna auction probably and [Music] hey guys how's she going today well antoine made a purchase sir this very first tractor a bottom self right there 1973 44:30 it's got a loader and a blade the loaders gonna go in that chunk it's pretty well [ __ ] not a very good lower you're not real big either so I think it's gonna get cha Chuck knows and the butcher sold real cheap anyway if anyone's looking pretty tall order but a real nice little lay on blade on it so probably keep it yeah since the 50 20 there is gonna be down for the count for a little while figured it would be alright to get something else anyway it's for time being and never hurts to have another tractor especially one that has both PTO is like this 540 and 1000 so should be alright needs a lot of work it's real rough but you got her nice and cheap anyway sixty five hundred bucks so it ain't bad eighteen for thirty four Tigers kind of small tires and only six bolt front rims but like I said not gonna really be doing loader work with it only gonna be doing PTO work mainly running a bit of baler and what have yourself anyway when we get home we'll take a closer look at it [Music] [ __ ] that looks dumb with a loader and the blade there goodbye petal dink little odor that looks better looks like a tractor no I got the duals off straight note the intake pipe and just put a piece of pipe on the muffler I was gonna put a rain cap but we don't have any what Tuan wants to put a street pipe like 4440 has now I'm just gonna run these hoses a little bit better and I'm gonna go grade the lane with the blade and then probably tomorrow we're gonna take off the rest of this shitty old loader mount here so looks a little more like something now even with that on it still look better than an International though anything would a green wheel barrel would be better when you run it on an orbit motor for a long time the hydraulics get warm Jesus Christ it couldn't even see the oil cooler anymore I'm real never been serviced once in its life I don't think the [ __ ] air filter was just solid you can tell looking at their engine oil that's three thousand seven nine D we'll see what the hours are on the tax [Music] well I just spent the last 45 minutes there now we're here pressure washing and all off I'll show you there now it looks a hell of a lot better with all that crap flowing off of but you can see in the cab he or she bid ruff it needs a - the plastics all [ __ ] up and then the piece for and here you slide your steering wheel up and down us gone but other than that and how to cap get at some point cows real nice in here so that's a plus anyway now if I said it now but it's a 1973 so they're your first year of them was the quad range but stickers missing on it I forget one of those I told him he's not allowed to be a cheap-ass like he is and not paint the thing so it'll be getting a paint job here sometime this winter but anyway I gotta go get cleaned off coverage and everything I just launched off oh I'll show you the yeah see look at this for the shut off - it doesn't even have the knob sure yeah what we cleaned off different latch in here - um button but I need both hands to get off of here because the steps are either break off so just a second they're nice and clean there's still a bit of crap on there but we have to take it all apart and use a wire brush and some gas to scrub that off of there but the rods are all cleaned out perfectly no so that's kind of what we were mostly worried about we're gonna drop the blade off after and get this loader frame off so if anybody's looking for easy on loader with a 4-foot bucket to bail spear think Tuan said he'd like 300 bucks for it or not so he's gonna try four anyways so what yeah I'm gonna go get cleaned off and see how long this video is yet how much more I need the video and see what the [ __ ] happens next all righty Silvan a bird chin on their ass the old hoods there yet but hi time for a paint job but that'll come in in due time so see if I can make a mess out of the lane here or not singing shifts a bit worn out hurry up there she is cutting now anyway well I don't know like what else more to show you about the 44:30 I guess we're not really using them for anything right right at the moment I think I'm gonna put them on the baler though actually and so right now I'm gonna move the 46 here another thing I'm gonna do with that tractor I think has put this springer controller for that other pull type spray or I'm gonna put it in yet just because they don't really need this big bastard on a full-time spree really some but what I'm gonna do is get this lined up with a vine because if we want to try and do this here is run the functions of the hey vine with the joysticks of your left right up down have it all on here the guy how to reverse your he could maybe somehow run it with here thumb switch here but oh well my buttons falling in have to put some better glue on it I guess anyway trying to get this lined up and we'll talk to here in a second I thought I'd show you this real quick - well are in here the the Martin boys came over again that - that helped get the car running if you remember that or not uh they'd asked a figure you get the crank ground and that's I think she's pretty [ __ ] through the volume come take a look if you want and they looked at it like Jesus it looks like bearing material stuck on there they're kind of scratching their head now give me a screwdriver let me see started scratch and scratch and scratch and well it turns out the bearings were still on there just not very much of them so the crank isn't as bad as we thought but it ain't good either but they're fairly certain I can just get it groan so that's kind of kind of the plan now still isn't gonna happen till this winter but at least there's hope so that's kind of the plan anyway I'm area what do you think of your purchase everyone's curious if you're gonna talk to them about it it's alright all Tuan's got to say she's alright kind of a letdown how it starts doesn't grab I don't know why the wherever the [ __ ] puppet that thing on the injection pump that makes that grab like not this guy it is working but just doesn't rev up I don't know whatever so it's going up to the shop to get a straight pipe maybe a couple other things so see what happens you got some parts ordered for it already battery covers cuz they're all this one's rotted all out and then the other one was missing and then we got to fix the hood we got to weld a washer on to it where the bolt goes through the bail to tighten the hood down and then it needs a completely full servicing like oil filters fuel filters all that kind of fun but anyway I think now well the other thing too it's only got six bolt front rims and the little 18 for 34 back tires so he's gonna look around try to find well the 6 volt front end they'll probably stay for now that's lower on the list but he wants to put some real size tires on the back there this oil you'll probably be flown on a few erectors to find rims and centers whatever there'll be another winter project so anyway talked in a few well i'm noticing kind of a common trend here on my posts I made it saying that Antwon bought this tractor people asking what the difference is if it's older smaller what the numbers mean so this is a 1970 340 430 very first year of the sound guards before this tractor you had that tractor 4520 kinda the same time as him that's a 70 that thing's a 72 I only had those for two years and then you went to this this is 73 and they made these till 78 was the first year of the 40 series does that guy's a 79 or 4840 was a 78 that's an 80 this is 73 so older there's a fair few things different that we were noticing actually but first most noticeable one your intake is on the front and your air filter is here whereas on the 40 the intake is on the back and your air filter is there this has the 404 404 cubic inch diesel engine turbo charged with a Bosch injection pump that's the same motor as the 40 20 whereas our old 40 20 over there's a Rousseau Master injection pump and no turbo the last of the 40 20s they had I believe that has a different injection pump and they had glass cartridge fuel filters on them like these had before that their spin on canisters like 50 20 see how that big box injection pump this is gonna be a real quick runaround of some of the few differences on it smaller fuel tank this only has a six bolt front end whereas that is eight they're both quad range you could get a synchro in these very first ones you get a synchro range transmission like 40 20 and 50 10 50 20 this has the quad range in it all three of them new this has a spring seat and it needs very first ones had the same seat as 40 20 50 10 50 20 their spring ride instead of hydraulic and actually the these ones had the all-weather like yellow wrapped seats like 50 20 has or is this one someone's changed out to have a seat like the 40s see exactly the same seed but someone put the cushions from a 40 in it because that's a lot more comfortable there's no foam on the pillars in these and your console is different that's not recessed it's flush on this and your bezels are slightly different up there might have 50 series ones in them no but single lights in the fenders the 45 - this one smashed but it should be he's gonna convert it over to having - like a 40 series on 540 1000 pto on both of them but these big guys only have a single big 1000 on them what else can I tell you this has been converted to pioneer instead of John Deere we're not a big fan of that because they suck they leak if you don't have this perfectly straight like if you're a little bit fast see the oil coming you got to be perfect or else they puke everywhere and the [ __ ] thing with that is all the John Deere's all run the same pieces of equipment and if one of them has pioneer on the back of it now this is gonna need John Deere to pioneer adopters whenever it runs something that makes sense Hey so them all having John Deere ends and John Deere ends on the equipment this one here's oddball now but minor details and then like I said small 18 438 tires 20.8 thirty-eight tires so a lot bigger better rubber look at the back end on this guy there other than that there's the same machine and see fair bit bigger engine here then in that one and the other thing we noticed see how thick that is how high up the cab sets we'll do our mr. bean measuring here I think it's because that motors taller see the difference how narrow that is versus how the other one is everything is lower on this and then instead of your air filter being behind the screen here the whole thing is fuel tank so you can run for a couple days I'd wait where's that one seems like it's terrible on fuel but it holds nothing in that little tank and then your air filter is up behind there and look how much taller this tractor is like I can't just three Jim I gotta actually climb up here come by see how the console is different recessed in same idea though and then I got the 50 series bezel in here but this has a dome light whereas the other one doesn't either other than that that's kind of the real quick cosmetic differences see too late eight volt front end you can go even older back and you look at the well this is a Tenten but it's really the same thing as the 50 20 quite a bit different again let's see same seat as in antwon's 44 30 over there so anyway I guess that's a pretty long spiel about differences but I've seen lots of guys asking that so figured I'd do a quick look at the both of them gonna be a long video and also I guess thank you much for watching I still couldn't get Antoine to talk and now he's gone to go get hydraulic hoses and a street pipe for that thing so I'll get him to talk in a different one I guess but whatever anyway thank you much for watching leave a like comment subscribe for more well talk to all you guys in the next one holy [ __ ] look at that all the sockets all of them all the sockets [Music] [Applause] [Music]
