howdy once again is tubal-cain your YouTube shop teacher it's early in the morning and I'm on my way to a large tool auction I told you there wouldn't be many more like this around here this season but this one is billed as an exceptionally large tool auction I don't believe there's anything there besides tools and man stuff it's not a woman's auction it's not an antique auction so what I plan on doing when I get there is taking my iPhone and taking some footage of the different hay racks and what's all on them they'll be 8 or 10 he racks and then a lot of items on the ground I don't believe they'll be any lathes as I don't think there'll be a lot of machinist tools it will be mainly mechanics tools and things of that nature but I think you're gonna enjoy this especially if you're from out of state or another country where you don't get to see these estate auctions very often so join me now as I peruse these and these clips here will be silent and it'll just be a hodgepodge sticking with the iPhone be a lot of people in the way but no audio so watch about ten minutes of that and then I'll be back home standing in the same spot unloading you see what I get today I'm taking my wallet but not my checkbook so hope you enjoy this as much as I do [Music] see that see that [Music] [Laughter] you see anything here you like how you doing Oh Jeff [Applause] [Laughter] [Music] [Laughter] while in 7-eleven is of nepotism nepotism an Antonov an-12 and a little bit all Satine but don't have an Anthony but I have an abbot Anthony they haven't even admitted to attend after 25 1995 49 189 2011 abba-abba-abba 20 well I'm back home and it's about six hours later I'm worn out I wasted a hundred and eighty dollars but no real great fines and although the trunk appears to be pretty full here most of it is books and things that you probably won't be interested in and a few things that my wife bought but let's take a closer look here and I'll put the items out on the bench and go through them but it's not gonna be like the other auctions because there was a big crowd there and the bidding was absolutely fierce many men with deep wallets and deep pockets and a lot of dealers and flea market people so little disappointing but yet it was still a fun day I hope you enjoyed all the clips from the auction going through the different rack wagons and all that because that might be more interesting than what you're gonna see here because in fact there's probably only three or four trays of precision tools and items here that are what I usually do because as you can see here most of what's in the trunk here is his book so I've got set that down I bought a lot of books from my brother who's interested in guns you know so there's a whole box full of gun digests and other gun books another big stack of shooter Bibles back there and I'm not going to go through all of that also a lot of American Rifleman's most of it I left on the auction there must have been 20 boxes of these maybe every issue from the 60s and I did go through a few of those I didn't have much time there and pulled out some that had interesting covers that my brother probably would be interested in also in these boxes I'm always interested in machinery manuals and car manual so there was oh caterpillar manuals the more caterpillar engine manuals 97 town car that's about useless quite a few manuals here on Ford pickup trucks repair manuals older ones from 2000 but those are the ones that needs service and some military books some airplane books and things like that which I'm always interested in alright enough for that let's go over to the bench and take a look at the few items that I did get ok here it is and it's a rather insignificant amount of the items that I bought compared to what I usually get but looking on the the auction bill here I spent the hundred and seventy one dollars of which about fifteen bucks was my wife my wife's purchases she's got a lot of nerve but so you can see it isn't a whole lot of items but here's some of the things that I got well here's all of the things that I got really that applied a machine shop you got one of these more mature this guy I think I have this only in a different cover and I'm not real sure I think I got a copy of uglies that's electrical and I've been looking for another one of these this is the craftsman equivalent to how to run a lathe that that's a good book and then in the way of tools here there is a older starett what is that two to three yeah two to three fair condition I've never talked about Slocum micrometer but I've had several of those over the years that's that's a Slocum three to four inch older one also and then I do like sure Tomiko and I believe they're the ones that made micrometers for Sears craftsman Tomiko standing for tubular micrometer company I've mentioned that before they were made up in Minnesota I don't know if they're still in business or not so that one's really brand new in the package but it is metric satin chrome that's in pristine shape and then in this pouch is a set of Fowler radius gauges apparently on use or darn they're new or perfect condition also in here was a mid to toy-u a fishtail that's laying around here someplace so see if I can find that here's a real nice starett depth micrometer with oh it looks like six or eight rods they're the maximum length here is I don't know 10 or 11 inches it looks like and that's a real nice shape I don't even see an owner's name on it so that's probably the best tool that I bought at the auction today and here is a beautiful stanley not stewart this is a stanley number thirty-four six-inch precision level with the rotatable covered nickel-plated a few blemishes a little bit of nickel plating coming off on the corner there but rather nice tool here's a valve gapper I don't even know what a valve gapper is but this was cheap enough broken hinge there all the original paperwork but what I really bought this for was the the indicator thinking that I can take that indicator off it's just clamped in there and used as a regular indicator with that one of my other holders and and possibly scrap what you see here not really familiar with this company I thought it was a starett gauge but it's not let's see and it doesn't say who made this for them I doubt that they made their own indicators not a great item my brother in Cody Wyoming is a a bit of a gun nut so I bought these and I do remember these Fawcett publications from when we were teenagers so I'll send those out to Cody along with some other gun books that you saw in the trunk of the car and then this tree here I bought really just because there was a Browning sharp outside caliper I got outbid on the other one somehow they got separated but there was a pair of these the bidding again was was real hard I don't know even toward the end of the ox and I finally went home and just gave up because nothing was was going cheap these guys had a lot of money and a lot of time you know you get a lot of worthless things here's a bunch of putty knife scrapers and there's I don't know how many feeler gauges new craftsman socket and miscellaneous mainly junk but I also bought two of these and I'm not going to talk much about this because you'll see this in my what is a serious mystery tool because quite honestly I don't know what it is and I'll talk more about that later and don't do not leave a comment in regards to this because that'll be for another video so that really concludes this video this auction I hope you enjoyed coming along with me and you just went to a auction vicariously so leave some comments I hope that I get to do more of these auctions there's a really big one coming up but I think I'm tied up that weekend and I I can't go to it it's a bit of a long drive this one yesterday was really only 20 miles from my house so that wasn't too bad but I was there all day long and it was pretty hot out but thank you ever so much for watching and supporting my channel watch my many other videos this is a tubal-cain saying so long for now you
