Another Day of Rockfishing in Alaska

foreign [Music] [Music] foreign we'll see here for a minute a few smallers in there but first foreign foreign yeah a little a little bit small yep well they're biting foreign foreign everyone welcome back hey folks so back out on the water once again down here on another black Rockfish trip and as you can see starting it out with a bang this little school in particular a little bit small so kept our jiggers up we gotta hang them off our uh off our jiggers to uh keep the fish from biting them until we get out of this area yeah so they're hungry today anyway yes they are we're gonna move on uh weigh a little bit let's see if we can find a little bit better grade we're a bit further down when we ended our trip last time and the grade was a little bit better down there these fish are fine yeah so if you guys bled down and [Music] yep foreign foreign [Music] foreign 49. foreign foreign thank you foreign foreign foreign a lot of hunger here all right foreign foreign come on foreign foreign foreign you know what this might actually work out like this okay out yeah let's see what I got going on here yeah but I'm going over the top of my rail though instead of through my cut out yeah so it doesn't like well I thought if I didn't have to chase them around deck so much well I also kind of wanted to get a feel for some kind of system too now if I go over the top of the Ring the red and up higher and the hooks aren't snagging on the boat steps those laps so I just put in there just hopped out so the coating obviously isn't big enough nice fish in my bin here foreign foreign [Music] pulley type thing you you know yeah just have a single wrap Crossing deck or whatever maybe yeah I bet you could take them off either side of the boat yeah like literally uh are we staying or are we going uh we're moving yeah okay seems like more of a mixed bag here oh my God I think that if you had you know a ram of course and piled up right to avoid spikes yeah nice cruises that's been foreign foreign I can see that shaping right here is pretty pretty nice yeah that's like pretty doable I think foreign [Music] foreign [Music] everyone just been chipping away pretty good fishing today so far I think we got probably another good drift or two and we'll be about to wrap her up so I just want to show you real quick the hills over here dad's happy yeah good fishing getting tired now yeah it's hard work when they come on like this we're used to more slow paced fishing in the wintertime a lot cooler out I always have a breeze it seems like yeah right now it is just glassy out here yep thankfully the sun's been behind the clouds for most of the morning but it pops out once in a while and put some sunscreen on so we don't get a sunburn yeah yeah you guys check out the hills over here getting getting green out now yeah it's beautiful love this time of year so I guess uh a few more fish here and we'll be a couple of happy fishing for today yeah pretty fast paced yeah hard to Beat It so we'll set you guys up over here and hopefully get a couple more Good Bites about 200 Fish Man down yeah a couple hundred each man foreign foreign foreign foreign so this is what these guys are feeding on sand lands handle fish a little smelt beautiful little fish he's pretty much going to disappear when he hits the surface chasing schools of those driving them around [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] three haliber foreign foreign [Music] I don't remember yesterday we had a couple hell of it and then we gave him the old route foreign [Music] ers [Music] [Music] thank you [Music] uh it's getting close to the end of the bottom of the ab Amanda get the Boost home then yeah foreign foreign well lovely morning to catch a few cod fish anyways getting them going down there now man foreign foreign think huh yeah be pretty close huh I guess I was probably gonna about do it huh that's so soft it's already over I know it's already getting dirty now foreign how hard [Music] foreign small Ling card these guys open up June July 1st July 1st July 1st we'll be able to keep them but only in 32 36 inches yeah yep so that one would be under five yep he gets to go back to grow up that would be good huh I suppose so Matt uh head home huh yeah lower up the hill of course I get a monster truck s are probably like seven yeah let's see what Dad has here yeah oh just some basic cod fish there yeah oh that'll about do it for us I think just wanted to stop and check the spot out might come back down here and do a concert yeah we wrapped up yesterday our Rockfish down there we were uh pretty wrecked there at the end of the day yeah cruised around the corner to Gold Point and anchored up and slept like rocks got in early which was nice had a nice meal and uh well early nine o'clock I guess relatively speaking it's pretty early for us yeah most of the time it seems like we're coming around the corner at midnight or so and anchoring up so yeah um got a nice dinner watched a little bit of a movie and sacked out got up a little right at five five a.m and ran across the bay so it's still early got a beautiful sunrise this morning but boy that sun was just bright red you look back up into the bay you can't even see the head of the bay it's so Smoky up there [Music] yeah it's hazy out yeah it was like uh Red Orb rising up over the mountain I took a picture on my iPhone but I don't think it comes out very good I'll post it on Instagram but anyway uh pull one more step here [Music] [Music] foreign I'm gonna happen I needed 250 pounds so that looks like 250 there yeah all right clean these guys up foreign foreign 10. foreign folks well I guess that wraps up this jig trip um beautiful weather good fishing got some really nice rock fish some
