up next I'll take a look at the Ana Pro Pressure reducing Comfort head strap for your Apple Vision Pro now that's a mouthful welcome and thank you for watching if you're new to the channel I'm Ray and if you could do me a favor and hit that subscribe button tap the Bell to get notified when I post new content and if you find this video useful please give it a thumbs up I very much appreciate it so I've been using my Apple Vision Pro for a while now at least once a day for some productivity occasionally for the day job if I need to jump on a teams meeting and obviously for Content consumption some of the complaints although I don't really have them I'll be honest um are that the weight is a little bit too much sometimes there's too much pressure on the forehead or on the cheeks um I occasionally have that I mostly use the single strap because I find this works best for me and I don't really feel that it's too front heavy um I don't know some you know I'm sure people have valid reasons for thinking it's too much weight on the front and they want extra um support so there have been a lot of uh Contraptions on the market some of them from uh kind of janky 3D printed objects that sell for like upwards of $40 $50 um to the anao which I'm going to take a look at today and this is the pressure reducing comfort headstrap for the Vision Pro and it consists of one strap over the top so that some of that uh weight is distributed more evenly on the top of the head rather than just on the back strap or the front um now Apple also includes a dual head strap that pretty much should perform that function as well uh but some people want more um support like I said for the most part the single strap is all I use it's all I need it's comfortable for me I can use the Vision Pro hours on end using just this strap and I have had no problems uh maybe I'm the rare case I'm sure there are others out there uh like me who are fine with the single strap so why did I pick this up if I don't have any issues with wait the main reason I picked this up and this is just personally for me is I wanted to try the Vision Pro without the light Shield um more open face design it should bring my eyes closer to the lenses for a wider field of view and then I'll also with the open design I'll also have uh the peripheral vision when I'm using pass through now one of the downsides for that is obviously if you're looking for full immersion if you're using one of the theater environments on say something like apple or sorry on Disney plus to watch movies um that's going to ruin the immersive effect if you're if you use the environments within the Apple Vision Pro um and you take out the light seal that obviously is going to um interfere with the full immersive effect for the most part I want the more open um the more open usage where I can see more around me and I don't feel so um like I'm looking through a tunnel sometimes s because the field of view isn't the widest with the Apple Vision Pro so let's go ahead and jump right to it and start with unboxing and I can't wait to try this on my Apple Vision Pro so here we have the Anna proo pressure reducing Comfort head strap for Apple Vision Pro and here is the hero image of the device here and again this is by anao on the top of the box it says reduces face pressure by 60% to 90% patented appearance tailored molds echo-friendly and recyclable design again we have the pressure reducing Comfort head strap model A1 it weighs 60 G there are the size and specs and it's compatible with apple Vision Pro and QR code if you want to scan that and gain in more information about this cool let's get it open got it slid out from the top and here we have some literature the model A1 with some quick uh installation Steps step one step two and it shows how you can achieve a customizable fit and here is the anpro strap and it's it in the box so you get looks like an extra cushion this one says 15 mm and this one is 10 mm I'll try the 10 mm first and the head strap itself or actually I'll leave the default one on here first and this one if we remove it it is 10 mm so you get three cushions 10 mm 15 mm oh you get an extra 10 mm okay I knew it came with an extra one I thought it just came with two sizes but it looks like got 10 mm installed 10 mm here and a 15 mm so extra 10 mm let me go and set that inside since I already have one make sure that's still on there really good and let's put this on the Vision Pro little add a pro sticker so to install this I'll leave the front on there now um we remove this backhead strap and I'm really good with this back head strap this has worked well for me um I really didn't feel I need it for maybe it's intended use I'm really just looking forward to having it without um having the more open face uh use of this that's what I'm looking forward to testing out so to slide this on let's see that looks like the front so it slides over this so I'm going to have to go ahead and remove the power cord CU I already have it already strapped on then you just slide this over both straps and as you can see it fits snugly on there snugly is that a word and then you can see that the speakers there's an opening for the speaker there and that's how you attach it and then you can see it gives you a good forward support in the front of your head and then you can reattach the single strap and you just press them back on like that now you can put the uh power cord back on Boom we'll let it power up and we'll let the Vision Pro start up okay the Apple pro has complet to Startup let's go and try this on and I will say just putting it on right now I haven't tightened down the uh back strap that I usually do I can already feel that there is weight being distributed here along the top Al so more along the top front of my head everything's tighten down go and punch in my password and there it is yeah right now again yes this is bearing quite a bit of the weight and I can't really I mean I can't really notice it I do still have a little bit of pressure on my cheeks but that's because the front is resting on my face um none up here along the top on the front of the head or right over the brow um like I usually would if I if I really Jack this uh tightening um knob down like sometimes I do um I can actually leave it a bit looser than I typically would and it is carrying the weight here so yeah if if absolutely if you are feeling like um there's a lot of weight or pressure put on the front like under your cheeks or here this will definitely alleviate it um and yeah it actually feels pretty good uh again I really haven't had too much problems so I'm not sure if I would wear this like this but I might just because it does it does um offer some pressure relief with this strap here and that's what it looks like when you have it on so let's go ahead and try this out in the way that I really wanted to try this out um with the more open face design by removing the light seal so that actually feels really good um even with the light seal you get good support on here on the front of it's on the front of my forehead and I feel less pressure on the forehead from the light seal here and under my under my eyes like right on my cheek sometimes I have um some pressure there depending but it again didn't really bother me too much um and I didn't really get this for again less pressure I wanted to see how it worked without the light seal that was what I wanted I wanted the I wanted to try the open face design um and see how it works with the light Shield so let's go and do that now let's remove the light Shield or light seal and it just comes off magnetically like that and let's go go ahead and see how that works try this on oops so you can see it is a more open face design um you're not going to have the uh immersion because you will be able to see out your peripheries but some people enjoy that and I also think it might bring your eyes closer and widen your field of view so excited to try this let's go ahead and try this on like this says move the Vision Pro slightly down okay so I did get a warning that says um I'm too near okay slight adjustment now it doesn't look like um getting that the warning went away or notification that my eyes were too close to the lenses um no so let me move the icons and I have to say wow yeah it brings my eyes closer to the lenses my field of view has just widened like to about there I can still see my hands in the Vision Pro um and then I can see here into peries like I can see everything over here and over here because this is open here so when you're using it with the more open face design without the light seal this is what it looks like from the top and from the bottom hopefully those are are good enough views um but I actually like this it feels like I'm in like the room obviously with pass through this is ideal I think if you're using a lot of pass through uh you know it feels like more more if you know more like um if I'm doing spatial Computing that the you know the windows and the icons are in this room with me now now as I've said so the icons are right here let me open up a window open up a sarari window move it here I can see it over here um yeah if I do move obviously this peripheral vision that I can see here I don't see that window so that breaks it but for the most part I mean that's not bothersome at all I mean the pluses outweigh the minuses in the open face design and again the other thing is going to ruin is immersion so because if you're in an environment you know you'll see the environment within this field of view of your Vision Pro but outside on the peripherals that environment will be gone so I don't recommend it for full immersion um if you want the full immersion obviously use the light seal but I think for this usage I think it's great can't wait to use it more um with the more open face design and without the light seal especially when I'm doing um spatial Computing cuz like often times uh I will do like I'll I'll get my laptop or on my computer and sometimes when I edit these videos or edit videos and Final Cut um on a laptop it has that small 16-in screen and I want a larger screen and I found that this works really well at giv me a larger screen um when I'm editing video and then I just have my keyboard and my um in my mouse because it is still uh using the computer screen yeah so this is great I like this so I do like the more open face design and I can't wait to use my Vision Pro more with the anpro strap and this is what it's going to look like with that strap on there the top cool um I like it it's it's welld designed built quality is really good on this um this cushion is again really comfortable um it'll be good it'll be interesting to see how well it wears um over time again they give you a more plush one and then another of the 10 mm I think um so that if you want to swap them out or you want a different one um or if this one wears you have another 10 mm weighting um and again the good build design this is probably one of the first peripherals or um headstraps that I've seen that aren't janky 3D prints um and it's it's looks like it's molded and it looks like it'll hold up well uh with use um now there's anything wrong with 3D prints I have a 3D printer myself but I ALS since I have a 3D printer I also know that if you put too much pressure in certain areas some those prints don't last and unless you have the STL to print it out yourself you have to buy another one for what $40 $50 a pop uh the Apple Vision Pro was like $35 I believe when I bought it there was also a discount if you're on Reddit I don't know if they still have that discount but they do might be a good idea to look it up and I'll even post it in case they still running that discount I'll put it in the description below um and links to where you can buy the Ana Pro so with that that's going to do it with this video um again recommend the anpr pressure reducing Comfort head strap for your Apple Vision Pro and let me know what you guys think what is your favorite extra head strap for your Apple Vision Pro do you have one of these an apros are you planning on picking one up let me know in the comments below or if you think or let me know in general what you think of your Apple Vision Pro do you still have it that's what I'm um actually really kind of interested in cuz I've read reports where people were returning them then I've read other reports that said they're not really returning him as that much high of a rate it's pretty much the the same as with iPads or any other devices that Apple has so if you've had one of these since launch and you still have it you still use it quite a bit let me know in the comments I like to hear your thoughts um also as an aside if you have any favorite apps uh for your Apple Vision Pro that you think are must have let me know those in the comments as well and that's going to wrap it up for this one so until the next time please take care and be safe out there a
