- We have another little game we're playing here called, Debunked. There's some theories
about some of your films that we wanna see, true or
debunk them for us, okay? In Pitch Perfect, the Bellas are actually the physical manifestations
of the Seven Deadly Sins. Have you heard this? I have evidence for you
outlined in the interwebs. - [Anna] Great. - Don't take this personally on me. Becca represents Sloth apparently. - [Anna] That's the idea. - [Josh] Aubrey, Pride. Fat Amy, Gluttony. Cynthia-Rose, Greed. Stacy, Lust. Chloe, Anger. Lily, Envy. Thoughts? - Jesus. (laughs) - This is one of those
moments when fan theories actually give the movie more credit
- Yeah. - And you're like, yup. - You're like, yeah. That's what I was trying to do with that one, yeah, that thing when- - I'm so glad you guys
- I'm giving that - uncovered that.
- little smile. It's not because I didn't
realize they were rolling. It's because, yeah. - Yeah. - Jesus. Who came up with that? - Not me, someone smarter than me. - That's amazing! (laughs) - Because I was like,
okay, maybe they have a couple examples, Cynthia-Rose, Greed, it's brilliant! - It works. For you Blake, nothing
in The Shallows is real it's actually all in Nancy's head. Some evidence. In the movie, high tide and
low tide only come once a day, instead of twice. Which could be a factual error or it could suggest that
nothing in The Shallows is real. - Yeah, you guys didn't
fuck up; it's just not real. (laughs) - Yeah, that was totally... Oh, there's actually
some reason for the tide. I can't remember what it was. - Uh huh. - But it was not that. No it was like something,
like a practical, like "Oh we can't keep you wet. "We have to take your bikini. "Let's make it down the
rash guard to a bikini." Something like that. - Okay. - [Blake] No, but there
was a script that was like a very, very dark version
of it, originally. Where everything was in her head. And her dead mother was
sitting on the rock with her and talking to her. No one would show me that one. I was like, "Hey let's
go make that movie." And they were like, "No,
here's your orange bikini." (laughs) - But I'm proud of the movie that we made. But that one was all in her head. This one was not that I know of. - Like the three. - The three? - From Adaptation. Where it's like the
cop, the serial killer- - [Josh] Oh right,
right, right, yeah, yeah. - And the guy are like all the same guy. - Same guy. - Pitch Perfect, male
commentator John Smith is actually Aubrey's dad. The evidence apparently is Aubrey and John are the only two people
in the movie that use the aca vernacular unironically. They both share an
intense level of acapella and take it way too seriously. - I love this theory. - You like it? - I'm very pro this. - Okay. - Cause at the end of Pitch Perfect 3, we meet Aubrey's dad,
but like, you never know, if it's really the dad. - This is what I'm saying. - Cause he doesn't seem very Aubrey. - So, possibly. - Okay. I wish we'd known these things. Who would've leaned in? - (laughs) Okay. And the last one for you Blake. Dan Humphrey, a.k.a Gossip
Girl, didn't act alone, and in fact everyone was Gossip Girl at various times
throughout the show's run. Unless, of course, Dan
was truly a sociopath. - I have a theory. - Tell me. - It was Kristen Bell. (all laughing) - Wow, how much time did
you put into that one? - [Blake] Did IMDB deliver? (all laughing) - I think the truth is,
the writers didn't know who Gossip Girl was, (laughing) so they didn't really
pick it in the beginning, and then at the end
they're like, "Oh shit, "we have to pick who Gossip Girl is! "How about Dan?" Cause maybe they felt bad for calling him Lonely Boy the whole time. So they're like, "maybe he's Gossip Girl." It's a big plot twist. So yes, everybody was Gossip Girl because - Nobody knew until the end. (laughs) - Nobody, who was writing,
knew who Gossip Girl was. - Ah, that's the best kind of payoff. - Yeah. - (laughs) We'll figure it out. - Surprise. - Yeah.
