Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
After some requests for getting this grain look I've finally made a tutorial. I've committed to make new videos every week to improve my talking and teaching skills. I'd love to any feedback and suggestion for videos. (I'll start by recording in full screen, that one I can't excuse. haha)
Well done! You didn't waste any of my time... dove right in and taught what you promised. You'll do well in this space. Bravo!
Nicely done! If you want a faster way of sequencing layers you can trim the layers to the length you want (in your case 2 frames) then select the layers in the order you want them sequenced (shift / top to bottom or bottom to top, or control clicking random orders) then Right click on the layer > key frame assistant > sequence layers. Super helpful for when you need to sequence a ton of layers! You might have already known that but felt like sharing since you were kind enough to make such a cool tutorial, Cheers!
Awesome, thanks !
Nice! The time-remap to loop out is a great tip!
I think you can achieve both looks with the first method. Just animate the mask of the grain layer for 5 frames and loop it. You can either animate the position of the mask or feather value. You can even animate the turbulence displacement's rotation or offset. Any of those will make the grain dance like it does in the second method.
Nicly done. ๐ Like the layer color window you have on the bottom left. Do you need a plug-in for that?
Fabulous! Love watching other workflows, and this character is so cute!!
Great tutorial!
