in most survival games animals play a large part whether that be helping in combat providing food for your journey letting you Traverse the map faster or even just a friendly companion okay then let's stick together project Zomboy is a harsh realistic Survival game where the overall goal is to live as long as you possibly can so they must have animals right I mean they do but let me explain animals in Project zomboid have always been there but not in a traditional sense animals could be caught trapped or foraged being able to be eaten if you're hungry enough but you can't see them in the actual World in Project zomboid animals play a minor role appearing only as items rather than seeing them roam the landscape however this is soon Gonna Change teased back in March of last year the new build 42 crafting update was extensive with the idea in mind that a player could spawn with nothing and still survive late in the game without even looting a single house however the devs realize that in order to achieve this ideal crafting tree one thing was missing animals ones you could raise breed and bond with they soon got to work and with the crafting update coming soon animals such as cows sheeps and pigs will also be introduced this will shake up the way we survive and will also give us new ways to play the game imagine stardew Valley in project zomboid and as new animals are introduced over time such as ones that you can ride a friend or even fight against animals are going to change project zomboid for years to come foreign
