Americans Try Weird German Treats For The First Time

it's time to eat the german food yeah let's try that [Music] we were sent a care package by our dear friend florian florian i probably destroyed it he probably butchered it uh all the way from germany and we have a good amount of items so many in fact that this video will actually be split up into two parts oh yeah two parts of food try and goodness yes do you know the name of germany in its own german tongue harmony deutschland hermann deutschland the land of hermans that's a dude's name trying to think of like how you pronounce large german companies includes bmw adidas wait wait do you know what bmw stands for yes bavarian moto works yeah and don't forget the volkswagen fun fact my ancestry is german same what you're german yeah me too oh birch is a german last name and it used to be spelled b-e-r-t-c-h and my ancestor johann you bert johann christian bench wow you're actually great oh yeah dude he came over to the americas they rewrote how his name is spelled and here i am enough for the fun facts let's get down to business let's get to fun food trying first up tuffy feet isn't that what trump tweeted out like months ago no that was coffee i hear it called faffy was he trying to ask for a toffee he might have been i don't know let's inspect this for a minute why did i want to inspect this bro it's in german you can't read that florian says it's a chocolate caramel treat with a whole hazelnut inside oh a whole hazelnut oh dope looks like a buckeye but have you yes that's what i was gonna say if you ever had a buckeye oh oh my gosh oh it's a good thing i don't live in germany i would get so fat dude the hazelnut is what kind of like brings it home yeah you get the toffee you get the chocolate well then you hit the hazelnut it gives you a little bit of salted crunch oh it's so it just brings it all together yeah that's way good well done germany man of course oh these just smell like really black like i mean obviously it's black licorice but it looks like it smells ultra dark these are supposed to be bicycle wheels i don't how are you gonna ride around on this look at that you can't even go in a straight line with this thing how do you eat them if any of you have had these how do you eat them do you pull them apart eat them chowned down or do you just eat them whole it tastes like beef jerky okay then you should love it not in a good way i know what it is it's a saltiness yeah this is like a breakup candy it's like i'm sorry but we can't date anymore i got you these because then you leave a bad taste in their mouth and they stop chasing you oh i don't like this get that get this be gone heathen and that breaks my heart because i am the biggest haribo fan i don't even know if i'm saying that right is that right haribo is it turbo hair cause that's tarball it's waffles with hazelnut cream filling and a few layers oh that sounds good more hazelnut more hazelnut yeah we're seeing a tremendous like a primary export of germany is like hazelnut or something like that yeah little tiny guys they're little short fatties they're kind of flavorless in my opinion like it's almost like i mean it's not very bold it's not bold at all it's extremely light it's kind of more focused on the hazelnut the wafer gives it like a crunch without much flavor oh these are chocolate covered salted caramel onions i like that it doesn't get stuck in your teeth it's very different than anything i've ever tasted that is really good i give it a dry only because that's the highest number i know in german what's that that what's a dry three okay this one is a kinder bueno you know hazelnut cream filled chocolate bar florian says the filling is the best hazelnut cream he's ever tasted this looks great i'm right in okay there was no hesitation holy crap it's so it's so light and airy and crispy and good man you just went bill cosby on that that is boy bueno totally get the name now that's good oh yeah ferrero you say rocher i don't know we have these here so oh you threw it off the table these are a hazelnut covered ball with hazelnut chocolate filling and a whole hazelnut inside easy is that all that is coming out of germany's hazelnuts wait don't want to buy the whole thing [Laughter] kinder bueno or ferrero rocher oh that's hard uh so the rocher has that extra crunch from the hazelnut i think a little kinder i do like the kinder one i will say i probably the kinder bueno only on the fact that at the end of eating this you feel like you still have little tiny pieces of hazelnut in your mouth and it leaves your mouth a little dry which makes me want something to drink but it's still really good it is good but i think it was more satisfying i'd probably go with the play-doh i don't know how to say that it's going to be banana flavored gelatin covered in chocolate i'm worried don't choke on that tiny banana pleasantly surprised it's like kind of banana it's like somebody took a banana and like increased the flavor of one part of the banana it's like here are the stats of a banana and we're just gonna take this one and then raise it exactly it's not as bad as i thought but it's probably not one i would eat the whole package of i would definitely not even finish this whoa what's this give us speculative so these are spiced cookies they're very typical for the christmas season smell that incredibleness oh right nice version of pumpkin spice papa's usual remember when we answered that we'll go watch this video i know it's not christmas but oh no i lost his foot i'm gonna pick it up that floor is clean let's go got him do you put stuff on this does that mean yummy florian says it tastes perfect with a cup of tea i don't see that those are yummy i like them oh pilot chocolate milka see milka and kinder i feel like are a lot bigger of brands in europe because we have them here but i feel like they've filtered in over the last like decade we're doing this one first chocolate chocolate okay oh okay okay that one is yummy very milky very smooth milky kind of truffle it is like soft it feels like it could dissolve in your mouth like easily oh and it did this has cow spots what do you think that's yeah it's funny the cow's not even that spotted it's weird because the white chocolate like doesn't go through it yeah that's yummy there's so much hazelnut we can compare to now one thing i found out is hazelnuts really aren't that hard they're just like a soft pop get at it i'm hoping this is like this one looks good definitely has the filling but it's not pink and it has the scent oh it's coming full circle it hits you really hard in the end with a lot of strawberry it's almost like you ate a piece of chocolate and you drink nesquik strawberries that's exactly it good job germany milka especially holy cow you know we need to do a chocolate taste test country wide because i've had belgian chocolate and it's freaking amazing belgian better than german i don't know i need to compare them side by side now man you're looking to start world war three down in the comments if you think we should do a international chocolate taste test maybe we could even do like one of those best sub like where we have like 10 chocolates and then out of all those that need something yes we will find the best chocolate in the world let us know down in the comments what crush on the mr david on the half the half what is this well wait wait you have to drink those it's a sparkling powder with different flavors pink is raspberry oranges orange yellow is lemon and green is woodruff woodruff is a german thing we might we make ice cream out of it and drinks like lemonade it's a plant and has a strange taste if you've never had it you might not like it you can put the powder in your mouth and enjoy some sparkling fireworks sour flavor pop rock or you can mix it with one cup of water and make a drink or for adults you can get a shot glass of vodka pour one bag in your mouth and right after that you drink the vodka we are hans and we are friends come down to the local volkswagen buy your new car oh it's burning my throat that one's very lemony i have a sore throat and that did not feel good you just put a lemon directly on your exposed throat glands all right woodruff i'm ready for a new taste okay tastes like fabric softener sheets smell and feel [Laughter] i don't agree i like it personally it's really good i don't know last item we got knoppers canoppers it's like the the wafer waffles that you have just with the chocolate bottom and the milky way i like the sound of that you know what this looks like s'more i'm very excited to eat this small like substance yeah oh ooh i like that see now this is how i wanted those wafers to taste
