Americans Try Italian Snacks

i'm in the piazza hot italian guy just walked up to me and said hey i'll take you to the trevi fountain and feed you cranberry cookies hi i'm jasmine hi i'm mike hi i'm dakota today we're trying snacks from italy sent to us for free by universal youngs universal youngs is an international snack box company you sign up and they send you a different snack box from a surprise country each month today we have the super yum box with over 20 snacks but you can also opt for the box with 12 snacks or six snacks and they also have the yum shop option where you can just choose individual snacks i love italian food i have very high expectations so i'm very excited to see what's in here let's check it out so the box always comes with the sticker this one says greetings from italy birthplace of the world's most valuable painting we've got our fun booklet peruge to read everything about the snacks and you know play a couple games these are all the places that i have on my bucket list maybe one day i'll eventually get there but for now i'm gonna go there do these snacks i'm ready to dig in let's do this tomato and oregano bruschetta if i die during this episode know that i'm dying happy oh my goodness look at that we should do this with garlic bread this is literally like a bagel bite i love bagel bites see how it tastes mmm i didn't think i was ready to love again but here we are this conceptually is dynamite it almost feels like like real tomato piece but dry all the flavors just hits you i don't think i'll be sharing this box with my family next snack these are the fresh rosemary potato chips and you get that like kind of like rosemary lingering type flavor so it mutes the saltiness it's delightful much like myself the rosemary isn't very strong i'd probably eat a few of these and be over it but they're good amazing next italian pizza rings are these onion rings are they pizza rings so this just looks like an onion ring in my opinion this is what i'm talking about this looks like a jar of pasta sauce oh my god these smell like pizza you know i saw a comment on the other video asking do people really smell their chips i actually always smell my chips so i didn't know that that was weird they're a lot smaller o's than you know what i expected like onion rings oh wow it's literally like eating a cheeto puff but instead of cheese around it it's marinara sauce it looks like an onion ring but it's pizza it tastes like cheetos but luxurious so i will say this has got to be one of my favorites so far let's pause for a quick trivia break the richest person in italy owns which of the following brands ferrari gucci nutella versace i don't know i i think i think nutella yay nutella okay i was right italy's richest man isn't ferrari but ferrero giovanni ferrero that is his father created nutella in 1964 and since then his company has grown into the world's second largest chocolatier today he's worth over 32 billion dollars uh what honestly i learned so much from these boxes it's so fun i have no idea ketchups ew i don't know about this like what's next mustard chips it's gonna be interesting i like italy and i like ketchup chips no no oh my god whoa oh my goodness that's like someone just poured ketchup on a potato chip the flavor doesn't just disappear it goes from ketchup to sweetness but still ketchup flavoring in the back and some potato so it really does taste like fries with ketchup alfredo truffle chips italians go hard they got money i'm very very excited for this sometimes i think truffle is just too overwhelming like we've really glorified this luxury fungus you know look at these little specks of truffle in it like i'm guessing this is like a hundred dollars i'm about to eat on me whoa i can't explain the flavors here it's a mommy well they're not skimping out on the truffle oil i'll tell you that i like truffle and i like truffle in things but if truffle is the primary flavor it's a bit overwhelming to me and here truffle is the primary flavor so these chips are a bit overwhelming to me you're missing out if you don't love this these are the fennel seed turali [Music] what are these they're vegan i'll tell you that much upon first glance it almost has a uh like a pretzel texture look to it have you ever wanted to just do a shot of grains cause that's what these taste like it feels like you're biting into the beginnings of a crouton and then it becomes a cookie it really is like a gourmet dried breadstick this is seriously a luxury box does it come with wine looks like we're done with the savory so let's move on to the sweets crisp almond cookies i really like their bags i feel like all their their chip bags they're the same way that their pasta is packaged i feel like i know what this is gonna taste like and i think it's gonna taste amazing i like almonds i like cookies the picture looks nice oh your pleasure our taste they're smaller than i thought they would be i thought they were going to be like big like almost famous amos equivalent cookies i didn't know they're going to be this small this is like cookie crisps you know like i throw this in some almond milk crunchier than i expected this is definitely more of a meringue than a cookie and it's a bit too sweet for me it's like an almond extract flavor like a bear cloth it almost is numbing in my mouth a little bit cause there's a picture of mint and i'm feeling like some mintiness i'm i'm a big fan cranberry cookies suitable for vegans i'm not a vegan i just like to know that it's suitable for them they're tiny i'm not a big fan of crunchy cookies in general but we'll see the cranberry part i am i am excited about oh my god these are like one of the cookies that you get in the blue circular cans that you know you always get for the holidays and then eventually it becomes like a sewing kit storage hazelnut milk chocolate bar this is the top selling chocolate bar in italy we got to see what the hype is all about i'm here for it oh baby oh yeah look at those chunky nuts in there i love me some nuts i like dark chocolate and milk chocolate doesn't really do it for me whoa the chocolate is so gooey gooey it's not a hot chocolate it's like melty oh my what unsurprisingly it's not overbearingly sweet holy crap imagine nutella as a fudge that's literally what this bar is i don't know if i'd choose to have this again just because it is milk chocolate i can definitely see why this is the top selling bar in italy this is the raspberry and almond dark chocolate bar fancy gold bar so that's always the gold seal you know that's how you know it's good it's gold standard baby you got the golden ticket baby oh just inject italy under my veins this is the perfect chocolate to go with wine you got like the sourness or the raspberry with the sweetness and bitterness of the dark chocolate and it leaves a very nice fruity fresh aftertaste hits you from all sides and you're happy this is really good i like it a lot this one is the orange zest carrot cake oh boy okay no no no i'm always open to trying new things but i can tell i don't like this i love carrot cake and i also love orange cake do you think they only combined those flavors because they're both orange do you think they actually go well together i guess we'll find out okay wow forget about american carrot cake no offense i love american carrot cake but this is so good this one's a very natural tasting but i feel like i can feel like the carrot is actually muting the the citrusy flavor of the orange down a little bit you see this is why i love italy they know how to do it right if they actually make these cakes and bakeries in italy i gotta find an italian bakery nearby because i would totally be down to have this at my next birthday this is so good this one is the chocolate and tiramisu cake wow okay so tiramisu is one of my favorite desserts in the world it's not just a hostess cake it's tearing me soup my baby wanted to join in on the snack taste test i don't know if this baby's supposed to be having this but one little bite doesn't hurt cause mama's not here gonna try a little bit thumbs up thumbs up this doesn't quite have any creamy layers on it so i do wish it was a bit moister but overall it tastes really good on to the yum bag each box comes with a yum bag they're like the smaller snacks that don't fit into the box so they put it in the bag so it's all in one place inside this bag there will be some yums that you'll wish there were more of and others that you'll wish you'd never found but that's all part of the i'm excited chocolate okay it's like a malt kind of chocolate mouth ball whoa it's like white chocolate with a hint of oh oh my god there's rock candy in here or i actually didn't taste much of the strawberry oh absolutely do not like these you will be very happy after just eating one it's decided i'm moving to italy overall this has been my favorite snack box yet there is nothing in this box that i wouldn't eat again i can't stop thinking about these they're like little mini pizzas and i will be eating too many of them today and a lot of favorites but my top two would have to be the fennel cookies i don't even really like fennel but it's so good in the cookies and they make it so well decadent luxury it makes you feel like you're an italian pop star i don't like orange i don't like carrots especially in a snack and the fact that they're able to mesh it so well that it's not overpowering is really delicious all right guys those are all for the italian
