AMD RX 6700 XT Review In 2023! (Best BUDGET GPU?)

so I finally got a new GPU well not this one it's this one right here the AMD RX 6700 XT 12 gig GPU it's been a long time so let's open this up now before I open up the new GPU this is my new GPU back in 2016. it's the AMD RX 474 gig GPU and honestly this has worked out really well for me over the years I am not a huge modern gamer and so it's pretty much worked for all of my needs and I specifically use my computer for Content creation but now having four gigs of RAM it is starting to push it on my computer and it does affect some of my overall workflow as well and when it comes to Modern gaming it's not bad at all but certain games I'm definitely not able to enjoy as much because of the fact that this is an older GPU so now it's time to upgrade so here is the new one this is from XFX this is a 12 gig GPU and initially whenever this came out this was I think around 480 dollars and at the time that I got this I got it for 350 so definitely a huge price Improvement but as with anything things do get cheaper over time and that's kind of what I was waiting for so nothing really fancy there with the Box all right see what we got in here there it is warranty card some other information but here should start the show the GPU itself now this one is a three fan GPU so I should get good recruiting performance and man that is nice Slim and honestly it's not really uh that much larger than my older GPU well it is larger but it's thinner and longer see what else do we have here foreign [Applause] so let's take a closer look at the card I really do like the way that it looks in terms of inputs and outputs it has one display port and the recipes looks like they're all HDMI and in terms of connectors it is two eight pin connectors so definitely want to make sure that you have that in your power supply and everything else very nice looking card and if I compare it to my older card it's not as wide but it is longer plus it has three fans so this is a pci4 so I'm going to go ahead and connect it to my computer and get this started okay so just gonna plug this into my pcie slot okay so I got the card installed everything's plugged in so let's go ahead and turn on the computer and hopefully things work okay so the GPU is successfully installed I also have amd's adrenaline software so everything is good to go drivers have been updated as well so now it's time to test this GPU out now when it comes to gaming I am not much of a modern gamer pretty much all of my gaming is retro gaming that's what I really love to do and for those cases you don't really need a powerful GPU and so these examples of gaming that I'm showing you this is basically what I consider good performance for modern gaming so at least for me if it's 30 frames per second or more then that's good enough and I don't necessarily need it to be at the ultra or Max settings with RTX and all types of effects so in general for modern gaming these examples I'm going to show you they're pretty much like to the high to ultra to Max in some cases but I'm okay with medium or low settings and I don't necessarily need it to be always 60 frames per second or more if it's 30 frames per second then at least that's good enough for me so I just did want to put that out there before I show you the examples of performance for modern games [Music] foreign [Applause] understand thank you now when it comes to productivity the main thing that I use my computer for is video editing now I do use a number of video editors but my favorite is DaVinci Resolve and at least for me I do very simple video editing projects and so I couldn't really tell much of a performance difference in my project timeline day to day versus my old AMD 4 gig GPU however the one place that I see a big difference is in the export or render times so just for example I had a 14 minute 1080p video and with my old GPU it took about 5 minutes 47 to 5 minutes and 50 seconds to render that out however with this brand new GPU it took about two minutes so that is a big difference I'm gonna get like 50 to 60 percent fast performance with this new GPU and in the future if I do more complex video editing projects then obviously this new GPU especially with 12 gigs of RAM is going to be a huge benefit so that is my review of the AMD RX 6700 XT if you're looking for really awesome 1080p gaming performance then this card will not disappoint and even if you wanted to do 2K gaming this will give you a great experience and if you're someone like myself who's primarily a content creator then having this car would definitely speed up your workflow especially considering it has 12 gigs of vram which isn't only good for gaming but it's also really great for Content creation especially if you're going to be doing 4K resolutions or even higher and since it does have this amount of vram this will serve you well for many years to come even here in 2023 and finally if you are somebody like myself who doesn't upgrade their gpus often like about seven years ago then this is a great time to upgrade especially considering the price of around 350 dollars and you could get this for as low as 320 at the time of this video and prices will only continue go down and so this is really an excellent GPU especially given the price to Performance value that you're getting on this so if you did
