Amber Heard Interview BREAKDOWN

hi hi amber how are you i'm doing great how are you i'm doing very well pleasure to speak with you thank you for taking the time so it's most likely that amber is in a room and the interviewer is in another location maybe in another part of the world so that is why she's not focused on looking at the camera or in front of her so when you let me let's talk about this character um when you started you know researching mira and then started trying to imagine your own interpretation of the character what was that process like was it really just about researching and you know reading as much as you can or was it about finding a way into it personally and you know finding a way to bring yourself to her amber seems to be having great difficulty trying to pin the badge onto her t-shirt now this can either be a sign of someone who's just struggling with no particular reason or someone who is either under the influence of a drug or intoxicated and they just cannot seem to place their badge on their t-shirt the hand-to-eye coordination is therefore impaired but that's a good question i think for me honestly the most the battle was in um getting you know getting enough well getting familiar enough with the character to to um to justify um participating in the comic book world that i up until that point the badge has been placed onto the t-shirt so there shouldn't be any problem with amber hurt giving this interview now um was kind of you know admittedly a little ignorant to and i'm familiar with you know i just didn't it's not a world i'm familiar with now this is where we become a bit alarmed because amber states she's familiar with but she's not familiar with um was kind of you know admittedly a little ignorant to and i'm familiar with you know i just didn't it's not a world i'm familiar with so you're either familiar with something or you're not familiar with something but what amber heard says is that i'm familiar with what i'm not really familiar with if we look at amber heard's body language and her confidence including her hand gestures this is implying that amber heard believe she's giving a correct sane justifiable answer however in reality her answer is far from somebody who is a sane person in this particular moment in time and i thought the i had a vague sense or a vague understanding of what i could expect the representation of my character would be based on the vague rep understanding of the representation i had seen in women um in that particular genre um and so i was pleasantly surprised when uh when i read in you know amber heard now seems to be becoming a bit confused with trying to say her answers trying to give her answers to project her answers she can't find the right words in her head as you can hear there are a lot of um um and so i was pleasantly surprised when uh when i read in you know when i heard that she was an empowered superhero in her own right and but that goes from saying when i heard to when i read so she even doesn't know what her aunt she was an empowered superhero in her own right when she was a badass you know kick-ass empowered woman with agency she seems to be looking to her right many times as she's giving her answer now if you were in a saint mindset and somebody's interviewing you even though they're not in the room you'd be looking at the camera and still speaking to the camera you wouldn't be looking away and carrying on your conversation that's if you're distracted agitated for a number of reasons you know kick-ass empowered woman with agency and then i was even more pleasantly surprised when i read in the comic book uh that same sensibility echoed in just right out of the gate right right off the bat uh she you know uh is rescuing this town and and says something to someone who mistakenly asks if that was aqua woman and she stops and she says no i have my own name uh my i'm my own person i have my own name my name is mira okay regarding this next answer amber heard gives what she's meant to say is that she felt empowered by the response mira gave as a woman to say no i am my own person but what amber heard replies is that no i have my own name uh she you know uh is rescuing this town and and says something to someone who mistakenly asks if that was awkward woman and she stops and she says no i have my own name uh my i'm my own person i have my own name my name is mira guys the more i examine her movements body language her response it just it doesn't give me a headache but it does something to my head like is a person like this even real and i was like oh yeah that that to me was representative of the kind of character i wanted to play so amber had wanted to play a character who has a name that is what her answer is saying to us and you see when she's confused how her head it just drops down and then drops back up oh name my i'm my own person i have my own name my name is mira and i was like oh yeah that that to me was representative of the kind of character i wanted to play that is not somebody who is sane in this current moment in time and so uh from that point on it was just it was icy on the cake so in you know in developing a relationship with jason i think your guys chemistry that you bring and and the rapport that you bring is such an you know integral part of the movie's you know joy so what was that i mean obviously i think you guys have a very easy chemistry but how did you develop that chemistry to begin with how did you guys how did you guys meet how much did you guys you know improvise and play off each other and developing your characters together well you know i was lucky to have had time to get to know him when we did uh justice league in london and because even though my part was small in that it required a lot of training i was there for a long time and so we got to know each other and we became friends we we had it off instantly jason and i are very similar in certain ways we like similar things when we have a similar taste and music and and and and uh artistic sensibilities and we just get along great we're just like more you know nuts echoed that same relationship is echoed in the playful banner and and dynamic that you see uh them have in the movie you know mere and aquaman are like they're kind of you know they have to earn each other's respect and uh love and jason and i being as close as we are and friends and buddies um it was very easy you know it's a very easy thing i really lucked out on this give her credit where it's due she began to answer this question very very eloquently i believe amber had a bit of a break during this first part and the second part however there were some bits where she was a bit confused at what she was trying to get out but she was a lot more composed than previously and drinking water does help do you feel that you have a you know different interpretation maybe a different feeling towards you know the superhero world and being a superhero now that you have been and what's your interpretation now of course you know um i was i'm so excited to be mira and play mira and to be a part of aquaman because it represents a new take on uh and it represents a newer generation a newer uh demand or rather a response to demand that i think we've had for a long time and it's been largely ignored to have a fuller more nuanced stronger uh more complex and more motivated representation of women in in not only superhero movies but in the entertainment industry as a whole okay it was going well and this answer i have no idea what the question was again she gave such a long long answer she was trying to get about eight nine adjectives into this one answer so this is still telling me that she doesn't really know what she's saying or how to say it so i feel really really proud to be part of it awesome i look forward to the mirror movie as well as fingers crossed right yeah sequel thank you
