[Music] very careful we're gonna be knocking out this chalk over here so we're gonna be replacing the oil with some shock fluid here by maxima and possibly replacing the seal head with an all ball seal head as well as of course re springing it with us that for spring as mentioned earlier but that spring is actually off the powder coat so we're gonna have to wait on that I'll knock out as much as I can today so let's get right to work so first we're gonna start by emptying out the nitrogen out of the shocks bladder we're gonna put a small mark here so we can align it properly when we're done now we're gonna go ahead and empty this out we're gonna cover it with our hand and face it away from myself the bladder is damaged I won't spoil into our faces [Music] there you go now I'm gonna remove the valve stem core next I'm gonna loosen up these locking rings pretty loose actually here we're just gonna go ahead and pry the bumper down possible up trying to damage it you can use on ppl Maxima or w4t to help get this shot bumper moving out of the way if it's a kind of seized in place it's not a ppl in there alright guys so we have our truck bumper free now can see its side not this now it is disassembling the shot a little bit here just slide that up a little more there we go I've had to take that obtained and color out we're gonna stand there shocked up and I'm just gonna slide the spring cause it's all pieces out of place and there's our shock got the spring here what I'm gonna do is get a little bit of grease and just spread it on the bottom of the shaft here just so you don't have to deal with that shock bumper seizing up in the future all right now we're gonna slide down our shotgun first a little to move they're out of the way for now alright guys now we're gonna take off this cover here and I do not have a punch at the moment so I'll be using the next best thing I have [Music] [Music] alright guys so I just got cleaning up these lock rings and the parts washer they came out looking pretty fresh so now I'm just gonna go through and file down some of the sharp edges on these lock rings because some of the edges are pretty sharp from adjustment from things like setting sag and whatnot so we're gonna go ahead and file those down [Music] alright guys this is the next day and we're gonna get back to work on reassembling a shot and just a little sneak peek for you guys up up up up up so yeah we're gonna get back to reassembling the shock today and hopefully that works out [Music] [Music] [Music] alright guys now we're gonna go ahead and install our nitrogen butter assembly it push this down some oil should come up add a little bit more you got good we get all of the overflow here no big deal [Music] [Music] alright guys now we're gonna use a bicycle for pump not a compressor but a bicycle for pump to pump up the nitrogen butter to 45 psi just to get it to seat [Music] [Music] [Music] alright guys so the circlips are all in place our steel heads in place and now we're going to pump a little bit of air to seat our bladder as well as the steel head and then we can wrap the shock up for tonight so here I'll try to move this and maybe you guys can see the the piece kind of steel against a ring did you see that here those little pups just one little one little shot of air and there we go all right now we're gonna reinstall all right now we're gonna reinstall our cover here give it a few taps with a mallet all right guys so the shock dampening assemblies all together and it is working very very smoothly actually pretty surprised on how smooth that whole whole process one for me because this is my first time servicing a shock and yeah that means the only part that really gave me trouble we're getting odle clips out on the bottom here and the bladder and filing down the nut to remove all the little valves for dampening and stuff a little shim stack so I'm really happy how this one this one's super smoothly and as you guys can see it's super super smooth action on the shock my bumper was actually a little bit seized on their side a little grease on there so it won't seize up and yeah so overall assembly went smoothly of course we are still waiting on the shock spring which is out getting powder-coated right now and yeah we also need to get the nitrogen charged but as I said this is working smoothly not leaking the seals holding up again we have that all ball seal head in there so that's working pretty well and yeah and if there is a little bit of oil on the shaft that's just because it's a oil sitting inside like on top of the seal itself I didn't get all of that out of there but uh yeah the truck and the forks have to break in which is no surprise now that they're personally serviced but yeah everything went smoothly guys and super happy with this [Music] [Applause] alright guys and here's our shock spring as you guys can see it's all powder coated royal blue and looks amazing it's a little dark here on camera but in some light and just brighter light in general you can see all the little flakes in the color and it absolutely looks amazing I got this powder coated at gtz powder coating and send it on your Texas so I'll leave a link to his website down below [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music]
