Alpha 2 is in Serious Trouble

hey what up boys so after a chill month patiently waiting for ashes of creation suddenly everything has all happened at once just this month Pax day have gone into Early Access with teris land releasing their Chinese mobile wild clone in just a couple of days in addition Activision Blizzard have announced the date for war within in August but most interestingly throne and Liberty have also given a global beta date in July with a full release for September meaning ashes of creation quarter 3 release is going to be competing with some pretty big names an almost exact repeat of their Alpha One release 3 years ago and if you're unfamiliar with what happened back then I'll be enlightening you in a moment but before we get into that our beautiful patrons and coped out the wazu twitch subs and I would love for you to grab yourselfa because today I want to discuss this sudden turn of events because I've got a pretty hot take about the situation and I would love to hear your guys' thoughts now with all that bollocks out of the way let's begin sh okay so let's start today's video catching you up on the events that happened in 2021 surrounding ashes of Creations alpha 1 release obviously as ashes of creation is a self and publicly funded project Intrepid Studios needs all the help they can get to Market their game using Word of Mouth and Steven Sharie put a lot of effort into doing just this as he wrote the wave that got a lot of us into the project me included it all started with lazy peon video back in 2020 where he outlined the game's design in an incredibly wellmade video YouTube's mysterious algorithm detected such nuclear levels of copium selling the promise of the next best MMO and Mr share took no time to capitalize on his game's sudden explosion of popularity the explosion was so strong in fact that it warranted the largest spike in interest any MMO has seen for the last 10 years during this Spike Steven reached out to asmin Gold Tim the tapman summit and shroud to talk about his game and answer their questions this was a great move and has likely pushed ashes of creation into the position that it is today as it was no longer secluded to the Realms of Niche MMO like Mortal online 2 or Crow fall a mainstream audience had gotten a taste of Steven's high quality copium and they were hungry for more which I took advantage of and built a whole Channel around it but that's a story for another day unfortunately this rise in popularity was a double-edged sword with ashes of creation gaining the eye of an audience desperate for a good MMO larger Insidious corporate entities had also taken notice of the project as a Potential Threat and they enacted measures to ensure that they could harm it yes yes indeed the first of these came from our industry leading Titan Activision Blizzard they announced classic burning Crusade within the same month as ashes of creation's original date for Alpha 1 however such deceitful tactics would not suede the mighty shareif to bow down to them and whether through sheer luck or cleverly planned chest pieces across a border of MMO releases the alpha 1 was not quite ready for its originally planned date and thus was delayed allowing people to give Steven's Vision their full attention in the month following classic TBC you know instead of being pulled in by the Nostalgia of a better time unfortunately though much to intrepid's dismay this was a double team and despite their narrow escape from the clutches of corporate Espionage there was another waiting in the shadows to sabotage interapid Amazon game studios had scheduled their upcoming MMO RPG New World's beta to arrive directly in the middle of Alpha 2 likely causing interest in the game to plummet as even me the copium Lord himself was curious how this upcoming MMO would fair in today's market sadly new world was but a shallow ashes of creation clone as it tried to steal and twist Steven's Vision into a monetizable product full of convenience battle passes and Jank to capitalize on the ashes of creation hype it is no coincidence that New World arrived when it did and had completely 180d from its original survival likee Vision to a Half Baked sandbox style crafting MMO with PVP and Guild owned cities it's almost like they saw the hype from peon video years before and decided they could get in on this Niche before the mighty Sheriff is it up for himself despite how dog [ __ ] new world was the damage had already been done as alpha 1 had lost the majority of its testers for over half of its testing time a tragedy indeed however alpha 1 still proved that Intrepid Studios had a gem on their hands and a lot of important strides were made these include but are not limited to incredible work on their networking allowing hundreds of players on their screen at once with zero lag and of course the early iteration of their hybrid combat which as I'm sure a lot of you would agree with looks absolutely amazing 3 years later and that leads us on to today on the eve of alpha 2's release history repeats itself after almost no releases at all this year suddenly quarter 3 is completely booked with huge MMO releases Activision Blizzard had secured the MMO audience for August with the War within's release promising compelling mechanics like literal AI in your party so you don't have to wait for other players who on Earth has time to play with actual human beings in a massively multiplayer online role playing game I've got five wives 17 kids and 27 dogs don't you know I haven't got time for that [ __ ] but World of Warcraft has its audience and Reta wellow is all but a single player theme park quite far from what ashes of creation is trying to be do they even share the same audience well personally I don't think that matters as Intrepid Studio can only release their Alpha 2 once they need to nail it they need to pull as wide of an audience as possible because that's how Word of Mouth works and I'm sure Steven is well aware of that due to his influence back in 2020 if what the general public sees is great and that includes World of Warcraft players it doesn't matter if they can't play it just yet because that positivity will send a huge wave of Interest throughout the mmor RPG sh and allow Intrepid to continue building their highly anticipated mmor RPG for years to come but wait my dear listener the story doesn't end just yet there is another Contender here isn't there silently creeping in the shadows waiting to strike an innocent Indie developer much like in 2021 Amazon game studios have waited suspiciously long with throne and Liberty's Global release only to announce it at this critical moment the eve of alpha 2's announcement I am sure them choosing July for their beta and August to fully release Throne of Liberty is no coincidence they are once again trying to undermine ashes of creation release but this time with a game that shares the same audience unlike World of Warcraft throne in Liberty is supposed to be the long awaited lineage 3 after all and from what we've seen they do the large Siege Wars very very well unfortunately or rather fortunately for us everything else about throne and Liberty is looking unbelievably rough almost clown likee but hey that's what we've come to expect from NC soft in the current year mobile games is all they know and thrown in Liberty certainly plays like one trust me I know I've played it extensively already and it's just more of the usual Korean dog [ __ ] except this time the combat is embarrassingly shallow with a progression system that I can only describe as lost mark from wish looks beautiful though except beauty isn't going to keep audiences playing for years to come Graphics don't mean [ __ ] in today's economy as wide as an ocean but as deep as a puddle as the saying goes and if we compare that with ashes of creation well Alpha 2 may not be an ocean at its launch but as we've seen throughout the last 3 years of monthly updates their systems progression combat and mechanics are as deep as your mom's [ __ ] and I can assure you when I'm done with it her flood will grow into the ocean that we all desire so what should Intrepid do then delay till October the first month of quarter 4 well despite everything inid have said over the years about not wanting to give dates until they're 100% sure yes I think they should delay it not because it's not ready but to give people a chance to try these other highly anticipated MMOs everyone wants to be there for the launch of a new MMO that includes Alpha 2 not because it'll be good but the first week of any MMO is always a great experience just being swept up in the hype and losing yourself in a world for just a couple of weeks there is no rush for Alpha 2 and they can continue that NDA testing with alpha 1 keyh holders for a few extra weeks to ensure that that launch is as polished as possible as I said Alpha 2 can only launch once and even though it's just an alpha as I'm sure a lot of you will will be commenting this is Steven sharif's pride and joy and I'm sure he doesn't want to share its release with another dog [ __ ] product from Amazon game studios but as usual I am just one nerd desperate for a good MMO and my opinion means nothing without yours in the comments below and hey it really does matter if you comment
