[Music] a few plants are like really important to nicole and uh i'm so excited okay here we go [Music] jake and i are going on a much-needed adventure the sun is shining it's hot and we're gonna go explore this beautiful island and the tide is right yeah but there's mosquitoes like you can't stay still so we gotta get going this is part of the new rules of komorevi taking nicole yeah which is uh getting ready to go and pick some berries because berry season is upon us but a lot of you guys have been asking how my knee is doing so i wanted to show you and i'm wearing the perfect pants to show you guys because they have a huge hole in them so here is my knee it's pretty much all healed up just to scab as you can see this is where it got cut right from here to there and i've been using this awesome skin replenish and this bite and scratch rub from little fox apothecary and i feel like it's helping it heal a lot faster because it's helping it not be so dry and i'm really trying to not have it scar so this stuff has been amazing and it also smells really good so yep that's how my knees swing he's doing awesome all right babe are you ready to go i'm ready you sound so excited that's my idea yeah berry picking hey where did you find salmon berries but also i found the first slaughberry of the season cool that's the first one the rest of the plants just have flowers let me taste it life-changing are you just gonna eat all of them are you gonna try to save some berries am i supposed to save them yeah we're gonna make some things with them oh yeah stop it you're supposed to fill up and once you're folded then you start saving okay so what did you just find well you found a feather well i kind of found it but like a little girl he's so excited look at it it's all white wow it's so pretty let's go what kind of bird is it from i see yeah i thought it was too late in the season but those are the nicest oyster mushrooms i've seen so far they're like brand new and all like like white and delicate and i bet they don't have worms and they're just perfect and i didn't bring my harvesting sticks so i wonder if i can i think i can break them off let's check one out they're gorge gorgeous let me see they smell so good um i know for a fact that we're able to make amazing mushroom stir fry tonight you look so funny it looks like you're scratching the trees back oh this one's like nice i think now we got a whole basket full yeah thanks tree thank you logan berry um so good hey what'd you find some raspberries maybe a couple of strawberries but wow is it good yeah my hands are red and that's a good indication that we've got some berries let's go home and turn them into some jam and fruit leathers yes a few months back i showed you guys how i was grafting some cuttings off of these established logan berries and apple trees and now the logan berries are in full swing so we leave a little donation for the community garden and then we get to you know share a little bit of the loganberry harvest and raspberry harvest but look behind me the pot remember how i showed you how we cut the pot and i shoved the branch to the logan berry in there and i've just made sure the last uh what how many months two three months i just made sure to keep it wet and look what's happened a loganberry sprout has come out of the branch and it's growing this way so now this is where the mother plant is over here i can cut this branch the mother plant will be happy and i can take this one home and it will have roots and i'll plant it super exciting so [Applause] [Applause] um [Music] so [Music] hmm [Music] [Music] so come on hey what's your gardening project here uh this morning um watering we actually have to water now yeah pruning pulling some plants up that are done for the season and replanting more or a different variety um and yeah just kind of cleaning up gardening maintenance keep moving because the horse flies out and mosquitoes still kind of get you so yeah all right thanks for the work so [Music] what are you doing babe there's a few plants that are like really important to nicole and i and uh one is these guys we've grown from seed three different kinds certain varieties of what's called facalis or golden berry okay i was able to do it and i was able to separate them without any snapping of the roots so let's see if my awesome soil mix which is full of like mycorrhizae peat moss vermiculite perlite my big secret personally with transplanting when it's like sketchy when you might be tearing the roots and it's sunny like this is to water them right away actually i'm gonna maybe ask my love if she can put the camera down and water these guys yeah and we'll have a fisaless in a few months okay stop thank you okay it's just a little more nerve-wracking when you're like so far from any kind of a town or a nursery and like so much effort was put into bringing these here we've had them save for like months and the paw paws we've had safe for almost two years so i really want these guys to make it but don't know if they're what do you think female or male i'm gonna say female nursery didn't know but like they look like a cactus right but they're actually a conifer tree same family as like pine and hemlock and douglas fur so they grow here almost like a native okay let's all uh water them and cross our fingers hey how excited are you to harvest beets so excited you've wanted them for years yes i love beets okay so we have i think a couple of beets that are ready to be pulled and these are going to be the first ones that we're pulling out yeah so this one looks so good wow babe there's a real beat in there i know i'm so excited okay here we go from seed how's it look that's amazing we got enough solar power and battery life now we can run the juicer and you can juice beet juice yeah this is awesome this is really exciting and i wanted to show you really quick i planted what i did today i planted a whole row of more bok choy and i took away the arugula we're dehydrating the arugula right here was the patch of radishes i'm leaving these radishes for seed there's two different varieties the white and the red and then i planted more radishes those ones that were no good so our tomato plants are doing awesome yeah look at the size of it i know and look at these flowers there's tons i mean these are doing so good they're going crazy and there's a ton of flowers so yeah tomatoes soon i think august will be tomato harvest i'm so excited i love tomatoes okay let's go eat some lunch [Music] like point out point out the store-bought boards these two are the store-bought boards and it just takes so much effort for nikolai to bring any kind of materials here because it's gotta be like hours long drive to car to boat to to bicycle to property and these were reclaimed from you guys remember a few vlogs back the local who gave us all the reclaimed wood these are ours yeah check it looks super nice zooming in much heavier because they're not 100 dried out yet but nice zooming out chainsaw industrial commercial societal profit chainsaw got to pay the man diy you're in debt okay let's finish this bathroom this this outhouse let's do it okay i can feel it what do you think it's going to be a very epic outhouse we've got eight acres we can afford this space and we can have a little shelving storage area in there okay [Music] you're out of it it doesn't help that we have to wear all these layers come on guys okay look puma kai come come on puma sit spin sit nope nope nope nope appropriate yeah how are you gonna do all that well i'm gonna find some boulders that are more permanent that are just like instead of it this is just for me putting together i'm gonna take all this away i'm gonna go find some permanent footers to level it up yeah that's gonna be the flooring uh whatever you want i'll put two beams across that match up with these and then we'll just lay some planks there's like a swarm you see that they're all around me no it looks awesome the boards turned out really good these ones you should see like from back here and then look back at the yard it looks pretty cool it's like a little church little church yeah little chapel let's go okay i'm i would stay out here but okay once it's all level then the door that we made will go yeah and there and then i mean i'll just uh i'll plank it and put like a beam across it and then this will be on a hinge and you probably open it like this all right you like i do like it's big but it's nice you can like harvest the rain water off of it and like put it into like a jug and then have you know those old school like sinks there's uh yeah there's those porcelain tubs and then you pour the water from the pitcher arnold schwarzenegger has a documentary he talks about that's what he used until he was 20. yeah yeah that would be really cool to find one and then we can have like like a thing that holds the water pour it in there and there could be a tank on the outside yeah and then the pipe comes in to the vessel to this thing like two flower pots here and then people just take that water and yeah it's gonna stop that looks great cool to safety you
