Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
Hey guys, I made this video, and I'm glad you like it, but if you are looking for something to share with the uninitiated, who won't be willing to sit through +20minutes of ups and downs, try this one: https://youtu.be/ikJ3S1J9P7k It cuts a lot of the tests, but it is much shorter, and has music and all the other stuff that comes from actually knowing what you are doing. It was actually published essentially the same day as mine (I published mine just after midnight so it says they are one day apart). And thanks for sitting through mine! Or, nevermind, just used the sweet one at the top right now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tU1b1H2EWU4
fantastic!
Video of CASSIOPE entry burn, btw: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtDbDMRG3q8
This is the video version of this recent post. I found the video when I became curious about seeing video for the Falcon 9 Orbcomm-1 soft ocean landing which I had not previously seen.
EDIT: I just now discovered that this video was linked at the bottom of the Imgur page from the other post. I didn't catch that previously because I was looking at the pictures using RES, which shows captions for each image but not the final text at the end of all photos. I think the video definitely deserves its own post since many other people are likely to miss it.
Looks like Grasshopper had a cowboy on board...
Thank you for the stand-alone post. I'm glad you included all of the Grasshopper and Falcon 9R clips ... I remember seeing most of them and yet never realized just how many there were.
You made the right decision using the length you did. Yeah, the finished product is long, but it's a lot of attempts, and now anyone who wants to go looking for the footage has it all in one place with a nice bow tied around it.
I'm afraid that UMG has taken a dislike to some of the music used in this video.
Is it just me or is the video not available on mobile? I can play it just fine on my laptop, but it says "Video not available" on mobile and tablet.
I've seen all (or most) of these, but watching them in rapid succession really puts everything into perspective. Remember how cool the Grasshopper flights were? Compare that to the ASDS landing. 10x more exciting than something that was already exciting. Great video. Looking forward to it being twice as long ;)
