so while everyone has been balls deep in season of Discovery there have been many new surprising developments on the classic cataclysm scene raid lockouts are going to work totally differently the phase cadc thing is not what I expected at all and my worst fears have come true the pre patch is quite a disappointment and there some very interesting gimmicks shipping with the release Now by far the fastest way to level up in cataclysm classic is with a solid step-by-step leveling guide luckily rested X spe has got you back the world record holding spe levels have been working on the fastest lockouts originally in cataclysm you had the flexible raid lockout system let's say your Gil did the first four bosses on 25man but you can't fill a 25man roster for your next raid night well you can just switch to two different 10-man modes and finish it off in cataclysm classic they are also adding a boss based lockout system of O blizzard really have not clarified what it means incredibly well so what I gather let's say you kill the first two bosses with your guild you can then join a pug but was also just down the first two bosses but you couldn't join a pug that have only downed one boss that's as f as I understand it anyway it means you're not locked to an instance ID where you would actually have to host your own pug in order to continue pugging that raid but the way to make it sound is similar to how retail works and I think BL really need to clarify this because a lot of people think that it's going to be this way where obviously in retail let's say you know you cleared some bosses in the raid it doesn't matter you can just basically join any group you want but you're saved for the boss meaning you can do the boss again but you just won't get the loot personally I think this is great for p chasing people because you have infinite amount of times in the week to get better passes all BL have said is that you can either do 10 or 25 man player raid versions of each boss in the same week and lockouts are based on individual bosses it basically sounds like you're not going to be able to do 10 and 25 man mode separately to get more loot they are compensating with that with increased drop rates and more loot per boss kill honestly I would prefer them to just make all raids 20 man and just have done because it feels unnecessarily complicated when it could just be so simple and streamlined by the way guys very soon I'm making a prequest that guide this will give you a huge XP boost for when cataclysm launches so make sure you subscribe so you do not miss that video now 5 months ago I made a video expressing my concerns that blizzard are insinuating that the cataclysm phases will be released faster than usual apparently according to Joe weam 5 and Joe David Muno Martin Zed 4722 I totally missed Blizzard's point but it turns out I'm totally correct and I'm not smoke about it at all so normally all of the phases of classic are released within a 13 to 1550 month period but with cataclysm it's all going to be released within 8 months personally I think it's a little too fast I think the you know around about one year is the perfect sweet spot but it makes sense because the majority of Wild players aren't too hyped about cataclysm but they are way more interested in playing Mr Pandaria and I think blizzard understands that and the trying to Harpoon the player base there faster they've actually decided to run a lord of rings online styled Legacy server event for Mr Pandaria on retail servers called the Mr Pandaria remix this means there will be fresh retail servers with all bells and whistles like game changes new classes and races but you'll all be playing a big time walking event of all of the Mr Pandaria content you even actually do start at level 10 at the end of your character's Journey you will be transferred back to Dragon flight you see they're doing this to further gaze just how many people want to play Mr Pandaria again but also whether it's worth bothering making a classic mop server you see if enough people play the remix event and if more people play those servers than the cataclysm classic servers then they will probably just make it a time walking event and they won't do a true mop classic server and classic W will stop just cycling through the expansions our classic characters will just get transferred to retail and from there on that's all we'll get is these time walking remix events I mean think about it they do surveys if they can see what version of the game you play a majority classical retail if mostly retail players want mop then they'll ship it with the retail state of the game instead of the patch 5.4 state of the game nonetheless it's obvious they have rushing cataclysm which is a shame they're rushing a pre patch only given us 3 weeks to enjoy it to be fair they always seem to do this for some reason when a prepatch really needs a good month in my opinion and they totally ditch the actual prepatch content which is even stranger you see the original catacus and prepatch event didn't just add the new races and ADV the new world it was actually an event with five different phases firstly there's some earthquakes to get people excited with a quest chain to investigate the Twilight Hammer cult this leads into a RP event where the faction leaders discuss the earthquakes and then eventually the first phase of this Invasion begins Elementals start spawning all over the world including Outlander nor so everyone at every level range can take part in the event if you close a riff you get a mysterious object which you can turn in for gold and XP this continues into another Quest chain that involves you defending either Stormwind or Ora you have to bind together as a server to save your City from the invading Elementals and cultist completing this also granted some really cool world Buffs and this would lead into unlocking a bonus event you could cue for with the dungeon finder to go and kill up leveled up versions of vanilla bosses like gazer Gilla Crown Princess fadus Grand Ambassador flamelash and Prince sarun i' probably annihilated those pronunciations but it I need to go to the pub all rewarding some really good catchup 251 gear it's a shame they've decided to not resurrect this event if you look out the announcement there's no mention of it at all they just talk about how they're going to add the new zones and add goblins and wargan it looks like in preparation for cata blizzard are doing a big server consolidation emerging some of the Dead classic Realms with the mega servers it looks like in the end us only going to have Seven Realms and EU will only have 10 apparently there's a bug where you can actually continuously make death Knights and transfer them to the servers where you know those dead servers are going to you know it might be funny to take advantage of that while you can if you want more than one DK on your server weirdly they're making things unobtainable in catac classic even things that you would actually originally be able to obtain in cataclysm like the insane of the membrane achievement I mean maybe blizzard generally just care for a mental health and therefore don't want players to go literally insane farming that achievement but who knows it seems a bit weird and lastly according to recent data mining it appears that cat classic is getting a slight Graphics update many of the world and gear textures have been upscaled to 4K this is a welcome change because let's be honest wow does kind of look crap when you're playing it on a 2K or a 4k monitor and as you can see you know some of the old models definitely are a little bit blurry before I head off guys please do me a solid and subscribe to my
