Alice in Nightmareland! || Alice: Madness Returns #1 (Playthrough)

hey guys superhero bro mike here and in today's video we are revisiting an older game called alice madness returns now this is a twisted take on the alice in wonderland formula so this is going to be like a twisted more gothic alice in wonderland a bit tim burton even you might say there is a game before this but i can't really access it on my pc it's not really available widely anymore so instead we are going to start with alice madness returns should be pretty easy to pick up the story i think as this is a standalone game even though it does follow on from the original with that said let's dive in guys so here we go we can see alice on the title screen here of course we're gonna start a new game i haven't played this game in about 10 years so it's been a very long time and i don't really remember much of it at all i do remember it being a very visually stunning game a very sort of fun game to play with a really good story and what we're going to do guys is we're going to do a play through probably eight to 10 parts on this game and then afterwards we're going to look at the story some theories perhaps the sort of creatures that inhabit this world and the game world in general so let's dive into alice madness returns and see what this game is all about moving like a clock hand interesting i'm already intrigued lots of keys and a clock it's all about time isn't it in wonderland all about time come now alice it's only a dream it's not a dream it's a memory and it makes me sick now focus wait you're floating again weightless a cipher relax i'm in hell forget it abandon that memory it's unproductive go to wonderland i can't i'm trapped in my past sergeant badly first call for a doctor would you be all right nowheres discard that delusion forget it go to wonderland i'd rather not doctor my wonderland shattered it's dead to me your preference doesn't signify girl now alice where are you i'm sailing with a friend hmm it's different somehow things have changed change is good it's the first link in the chain of forgetting what's happening are you mad i'm not mad rabbit that's not right what's he doing there's something wrong oh some you can tell guys this isn't a disney version of alice in wonderland it's very dark don't struggle alice let the new wonderland it's killing me wonderland is destroyed my mind is in ruins forget it block so that was like a recap of the original game guys there there alice better now aren't we my head's exploded and there's a steam hammer in my chest yes well the cost of forgetting is high my memories make me vomit what can i remember other things i want to forget who would choose to be alone imprisoned by their broken memories i'll set you free alice memory is a curse more often than a blessing so you've said many times and i will say again the past must be paid for now before our next session collect those pills from our high street chemist very well doctor it's my turn to forget alice now charlie your power was hung for killing your ma who beat you let's forget that shall we the past is dead charlie i don't know if that doctor should be you know working and uh certified because he seems to be like he's trying to get these kids to forget their horrible pass obviously alice was in a fire it seems like her parents were killed in the fire she's now in this orphanage and she's obviously had these terrible experiences in wonderland or she believes she has and the doctor says he's trying to cure her by getting her to forget stuff but he's also taking the memories um from her mind i don't know that he's the best doctor in the world is all i'm gonna say can't find the door we are now playing as alice guys we are in this world of look at this creepy dolls we can enter first person mode it says there you go we can get a better look at the creepy doll and the tea party if we really want to i don't know if we want to do that i certainly don't doctor do you write still sick in the head i'm past a cure terminal condition she says she's passed a cure terminal condition sometimes it's hard to do a commentary when these characters keep talking so if my commentary seems a bit weird at the start guys that's probably why anyway we've got to get to the chemist so let's head down to the chemist and get ourselves some medicine make us forget wonderland she's an orphan there you go we're an orphan we've been here for 10 years mr payne had no idea how humble a home could be if not for my drawings and the photographs this could pass on my room at the asylum this photograph of a family was delivered here by post no message no return address i'm grateful for this memento but i wish i could thank the sender okay so someone sent her this picture but she doesn't know who it's interesting as well it says in the first game she was in a mental asylum in the second game here she's obviously in an orphanage and then you can see all these pictures that alice herself has drawn they're not the best pictures in the world but they'll do you know to represent what she's been through there's her diary okay so where are we going out the door without the charm who'd want her oh so they say we've killed our family so obviously the backstory is that we're meant to of course that fire but another day a different dream perhaps here we go we're in the streets of london the smoky streets of london all right governor someone playing the violin a lovely little number on the violin there always a cat we've got ourself a market here a bustling market it's got a very weird art style this game like i said before it's a bit like tim burton isn't it it's a bit like something that tim burton perhaps come up with that woman looks pretty ugly no offense hardwick's fine meets and there's the cat again look hello don't be afraid come on puss puss where are you leading us this isn't the way to the chemist oh okay it's over there now we need to follow him see where he leads us what's that the squid and fox the local watering hole the elephant that one's called the elephant's elbow i guess we go this way here we are another little alley way for cats to lead us up seems following furry creatures into dark holes has become a habit i hope it's not a vice i wouldn't be wondering down these kind of streets as a young lady myself alice is obviously brave braver than i would be oh my god that's creepy that's weird this isn't the alice in wonderland i remember reading that's for sure the stars and garters alice little is someone again are we nurse witless what luck twice in as many months out on your own you look frazzled early not doing well not really come along home then and look at my pigeons pretty birds like you i don't think so our last visit cost me several pounds and got me nowhere i might recall where your mindy rabbit got to still a mess no surprise her kin roasted like chestnuts right before her eyes ten years in rutledge asylum wasted everyone's time dr bombay won't do better still hauling out her questions the fire her memory i deserve consideration don't i i found her her new clothes who got her a place at bombays where'd she be without me on the street selling her backside like some pigeons though she's doled out the odd pound or two but what i know is worth more than that kept her secret haven't i heard her say all died on my account i couldn't save you i've told her my silence is for sale cheap i'm a good sort really not like her nanny that uppity [ __ ] all that lawyer fellow radcliff took her stupid rabbit need money warned her i'd tell the corpus if she didn't make her donation to my upkeep she yells and goes off her head this she cannot remember her name what i heard hmm so it seems like that old woman has been blackmailing us and alice basically confessed to her that she killed her family in a fire that's what she believes anyway but she's obviously not all quite there in their head sometimes which is why she's getting help she went to the mental asylum which was obviously even not the best place for her because back then asylums were really terrible places where they didn't understand mental health and now she's come up here to meet with this old woman again so let's see what we old woman has to say oh look at that nice scenic view of london as well very pretty well not exactly pretty but very smoggy nurse witness do you mean to harm me to send me back to the asylum i won't say no i have a first you could photograph need a drink she's not all that she appears guys that is weird so she is a monster in disguise or maybe that's just how alice perceives her because she's a threat to her and here we go guys we're going back into wonderland this is where the game starts properly this is where our adventure begins there we go the iconic dress we've now become alice in wonderland at least wonderland is a bit prettier than the smoggy streets of london in fact it looks quite nice at the moment doesn't it it's quite picturesque we've got a waterfall some trees floating dominoes floating islands it looks a bit like avatar or something doesn't it very upsetting journey but i'm rid of press or whatever she's become at least the place i've landed is somewhat familiar hmm about time too alice the cheshire cats blasted cat don't try to bully me i'm very much on edge when you're not on edge you're taking up too much space you're no help at all but you know i can be i'll frighten myself when necessary thanks very much i was hoping to escape from all that abandoned that hope a new law reigns in this wonderland alice it's very rough justice all round we're at risk here you be on your guard so the cheshire cat is a bit of a punk rocker cat in this game and here we go guys we are in wonderland now we're in alice's wonderland dress as you can see she's in her wonderland form now and this is the kind of thing that we get in this wonderland cows cows heads on the body on the bodies of birds and we've got butterflies oh look a little collectible recover memory you jump so well strange you know but we've got little flying cows didn't expect to see that and then we've got these dominoes that we've got to jump to there we go press a again while jumping to 12. there we go excellent so i guess that gives us a bit more time to sort of maneuver while we're in the air like that here we go another memory if you leap from that table again alice i'll expire you're two times too reckless my girl oh what's this nice we got some air those mushrooms give us a bit of air and we've got another memory here emmanita muscalia is merely a stinky toadstool a spongy consistency but poisonous hmm it seems we need to be able to shrink down to get through these holes so i guess we need a power to do that which we don't currently have let's head down here drink me oh maybe this makes us shrink i've been down this road before good things in small packages though lacking a bathing costume a plunge in that pool is in order my god i'm shrinking in this potion shall i disappear almost but the upside is that while smaller you can see things that are nearly invisible to your bigger cell ah i get it quite forests for the trees just the other way around short-sighted is more than a matter of perspective absolutely i agree i concur right left bumper to shrink there you go that's how we shrink down guys we can now access all of these little sort of keyhole doors what's this syringe all about recover memory look how small she's become all curled up she's barely there vixen in her hidey hole there we go oh my god giant snail that's creepy hello mr snail are you a friend or a foe looks like he's a friend he doesn't want to hurt us by the look of it that's good i mean snails are pretty friendly aren't they pretty harmless creatures unless you eat them you can sometimes get toxic ones i think but we're not going to eat snails i can't imagine anything worse all right let's run down here through another little tree root okay we've got pictures pointing this way oh is this a secret area there's snails all over the place here oh no we've flown up nice a slide it's like mario 64. it's a me alice this is exactly like mario 64 though i remember all the sliding sections where you're collecting the coins in that game oh i guess we avoid the snails don't want to break their shells here we go oh no no oh yes we got it we got it i thought we're gonna miss that then oh is this blood this is like a river of blood it looks like it things are getting darker guys we've oh yes definitely look at that we've got the remains of some kind of giant horse or something uh or dinosaur it's hard to tell i think it's meant to be a horse and then we've got like this giant tree the vorpal blade is swift and keen and always ready for service oh nice we've got ourselves our first weapon i'll take that i've not come back here looking for a fight really that's a pity once certainly looking for you hmm the vault blade goes snicker snack it leaves from dead the vorpal blade inflicts the swiftest damage to a single target at close range okay that sounds good to me look at that we can do a free button press combo and then we've got another memory flight or fight implies a permanent choice but flight often just means putting off the fight to another day choose your battles wisely alice nice we can break these shells and collect maybe i should have broken the shells on the slide because it seems we get you know um teeth i don't know why we're collecting teeth actually i just realized that um instead of coins like in mario or rings like in sonic in alice madness returns we collect up teeth and i don't know what the teeth do maybe we get to spend time to upgrade stuff i'm not sure i'm sure we'll find out soon oh we've got something here as well an enemy of some kind insidious ruin and we lock on with the left trigger and then we have to swiftly dispatch it with attacks from the vocal blade there you go that was easy enough any more anyone else want a piece this is kind of like legend of zelda right bump into dodge oh yeah i see yeah that targeting system is really like legend of zelda ocarina of time where you like hold down the trigger and it sort of targets the enemies and the screen closes in a little bit like that on the top and the bottom so this feels quite zelda like the play which is definitely interesting definitely a good thing matt i like legends of zelda i think most people do oh what's this is this a memory as well a flower's purpose is simple and immutable human purpose is fickle because it is a slave to memory memories must be strictly managed guys unproductive ones must be eliminated okay what have we got over here while jumping press and hold spacebar to initiate alice's float i'm playing with a gamepad to further extend float press and hold spacebar again while jumping wait oh i see you just press the a button i don't know why it's saying spacebar when it knows i've got a gamepad let's try this guys there we go works like a charm float can be used multiple times when jumping oh i see nice easy press right bumper to dodge at any time even while jumping wait i think we've got a secret over there let me just we'll go up here first and then we'll get the secret there we go we got collectible and some more teeth gotta collect those teeth but like the tooth fairy here we go and another bottle nice i don't know what these bottles do we have a look on the main menu two of eighteen bottles collected in chapter one so we're on chapter one at the moment but there we go guys you can see there's quite a few collectibles in this alice madness returns game oh and who's this woman ah it's you again alice you may approach why would i do that you want to eat me yes well you taught me manners and i've lost my taste for mad women strictly a porth iron diet for me everything's better with bacon don't you agree of course you do now there are big snouts scattered about i heard a few behind the house go fetch them for me but take care for the pests that block your way pepper them up if they do they need spice and you're just the dish a girl to season them for me you'll find that grinder serviceable why not season your own pig parts matter of priorities my alabastar's skin needs protection from the disgusting creatures running amok amidst the environs but one gets peckish look all you have to do is listen for the oink then shoot the snout you may like the results i certainly will i don't trust this woman she's going to try and eat us i bet but we have got a gun now a pepper grinder gun the duchess is oh this is the duchess of course so the duchess is pepper grinder spice up your foes and prepare savoury snouts okay i guess she might grant us access to this door afterwards if we help her out so we're gonna help the duchess on her way to make some tasty bacon soup oh a butterfly okay right trigger to find a pepper grinder here we go guys oh this is actually quite satisfying look that little nest nice it works like a treat well focused move the right stick to switch targets ah okay nice and easy there we go so far the game is not too challenging it's quite easy to pick up and play i think that's probably going to change i always find the older games are harder than like more recent ones for the most part they just seem to make games harder in the old days right here we go let's shoot all of these guys i want to actually um i want to actually destroy that other nest as quickly as possible then no more can spawn there we go we've got another we've got another nest over there is that everyone nope there's another enemy there we go so now we've got to shoot these little pigs snouts throughout every domain keep an ear out for snouts aim the pepper grinder and shoot the snout with the pepper grinder once the snout is full of pepper it will reveal paths to collectibles nice oh it's up there okay so now it's leading us to the collectible previous door awesome let's head on back thank you so much for the snout now go away oh we've got a nice little picnic camper full of treats i hope this isn't just full of pigs now so i don't really want to eat pig snacks you know i'm not a dog there we go we've got the exit open though guys we can shrink down and go through get away from that creepy duchess and head on to the next area got another pixel out here let's fill it with pepper okay where's he taking us oh it's made a little path but also it's like aggroed all these enemies so you have to be careful it's quite hard because the gun actually runs out of ammo very quickly oh we've got an enemy here as well let's get those dispatch these enemies quickly oh no no no get off me leave me alone nasty wasp things come in their names altar flies i think they're called back i say oh no we need to shoot that nest okay good we got it is that it is everyone dead i still got that music playing in my ears i don't know if everyone's down or not guys it seems like somebody's still about yes it's down there i can see it there we go i think that's everyone destroyed now look at that thing over there as well that weird like cow statue we'll have to head over oh there's another snout as well fill this up with some pepper and see where it leads us this time it's taking us high up over here okay go back the way we've come here we go finish your suit girls bovine juveniles gave their all for it so she's seeing all these cows because they're associated with her memories of course there are a lot of cows in i think the original alice in wonderland story if i remember correctly if you read the book of it for his section with cows i just don't remember alice in wonderland all that clearly like and i think the disney cartoon misses a lot of stuff from the book but when i do my story explain video for this game i will do the proper research of course anyway we've got to jump onto this moving platform this domino platform there we go and now we can collect the special tooth kind of a weird sentence that but nevermind and there we go we're across oh we've got a crying giant statue of alice here a little bit disturbing a little bit weird slivering ruiner like sluggy things there we go cut them down to size all in a day's work for alice what the heck is that oh that's just one of those normal ruins i don't know whether it's best to use my gun or to use my knife the knife is quite effective and that's actually quite fun well so long sunny happy looking wonderland but i was enjoying and hello gross overcast oily looking wonderland let's go down guys and hope we don't oh okay a mushroom just appeared and sprung us oh yeah we've got to go over the top of this all right let's shoot these guys finish them off with some slices there we go nice and easy collect those teeth up and up we go nice it takes a little bit of getting used to this platforming the way she jumps and stuff can i jump on top of these tar things or they kill me i winter let me try i don't think we can oh we can reach it nice we reached a secret area guys and here is another memory for our story information the railway running through wonderland sounds charming but inefficient noise and smoke like steps and snails perhaps best to forget that train a mock turtle as conductor right so with the secret collected let's head on to the next area of the game more collapsing foliage seems like there's an earthquake going on i don't know what's causing that there's something infecting this world in a bad way isn't it there we go nicely dodged easy we need to destroy that hive we need to destroy that hive as quickly as possible so they can't spawn any more flies from them there we go now take out these little flies and we're all done hollow yes uh read this as if your life depended on it because it does gather these pearly whites to prevent your premature arrival before the pearly gates my friends can use the choppers and you'll improve your weapons capacity so that's why we're picking up the teeth to upgrade our weapons and stuff so we can upgrade the vorpal blade or the pepper grinder let's have a look give me a hundred and fifty teeth to upgrade your vorpal blade yeah i'll do that okay level two vault blade can we upgrade the pepper grinder as well oh i don't have enough teeth okay so i've only got 56 teeth left now and if you want to upgrade the vulpa blade again it's going to cost us 6.75 if we want to upgrade the pepper grinder it'll cost us 4.75 so there we go guys that is indeed what the teeth were for to upgrade our weapons well there's that train that the guy was talking about the doctor was referencing hatter always hated mechanical malfunctions this disaster is either his doing or his epitaph they use very uh very big words in this game i guess it was a product of the time right to use elaborate words constantly and that if you talk like that now people would look at you with side eye and they'd be like what are you doing let's destroy these shells get these teeth because we want to be able to upgrade as quickly as possible in this game make sure that we're super powerful i think upgrading the vault blade is like a key thing to do because it's so powerful just for slicing and dicing so we need to follow this train track around i think it's quite fun actually just floating around in this game there we go let's float all the way down here more teeth i mean look at all that that's some craziness oh what the heck another little slime okay into the train tunnel next we're trapped great okay no way back looks like we're gonna have to see where this track takes us then oh a slide looks like teapot so perhaps this is going to be the mad uh the mad hatter's domain now that certainly looks like it's going to lead us to the mad hatter doesn't it oh are these the for hatter's minions yeah mad caps okay they look weird slice and dice and these are actually harder these enemies can avoid you a lot easier and they also have multiple attacks by this sound of it so we need to keep our distance from these guys there we go oh he's hit us i'd like if he could harry enemies like it was a parry attack alice can dodge enemy attacks i know we do that all the time game you'd have to tell us that right now oh i think it's it's saying we have to dodge this guy and then go into the attack after he attacks what the heck yeah he gets his uh blade stuck in the ground and then we attack him there you go we made short work of him anything inside this teapot nope all right onwards let's see what lies up here oh more minions come on man oh he's still going he's still going they're actually quite tough these little guys there we go easy does it oh no we've got another one of these shield guys i hate these ones there we go basically when the screen slows down a little bit that's when we avoid him and then we go into the attack the game does telegraph quite well when we're meant to attack those guys and now we can head on up into the domain of the mad hatter what's this though this is some creepiness right here like a little skeleton of a guy in a a robot suit like a mech or something that means we're gonna get some robots in this game look at this though i love the design of this game like the game world is really cool the way it's sort of uh built around all the iconic wonderland creations lost and don't know where to go try shrinking where the violets grow while shrunk shrinksense will reveal hidden paths and clues right around violets ah that's cool it's like chalk drawing on the ground that's pretty awesome let's collect up our stuff and be on our way i guess we have to stay in small form while we're crossing these things here we go it could have happened that way alice you remember poor mr crook died didn't he dr wilson rejects spontaneous combustion but i trust wow look at that that is impressive so that's what i said at the start of the game you know he wasn't very trustworthy that doctor it was obvious you know anyone could have said that now this is the mad hatter's kingdom i'm guessing guys that's going to be where we're heading inside next so let's head on up here and blow this teapot sounding device um and there we go we've been taken into the hatter's domain the hatter's domain almost as i remember it appearances as you know better than those how are you doing appearing in front of us has changed since your last visit dr bumby says change is constructive that different is good different denotes neither bad nor good but it certainly means not the same find the hatter alice he knows more about different than you but does he know more about the difference between bad and good making friends alex you're as randomly lethal and entirely confused as you ever were i've managed without you so far cat return to whatever hovel's home to you i'll call if i need you predictably rash it's not a question if alice it's way now hold on and as they say so typical well that's a lovely conversation and we've smashed through the wall that's not a very good cable car is it you know if it's destination is like just smash through the wall on the other side right so we're heading on inside the mad hatter's domain now does some vents need to be activated by turning valves okay while on the vent you can rotate alice exit the vent press spacebar or simply move away from it uh okay i think that means the a button because i'm using a xbox controller like i don't know why the game keeps giving me those controls never mind oh a memory remember when a burst of steam blew your dress up around your neck just outside your undergarments had been laundered okay turn the valve on this place is very weird we've got floating cogs all over the what place heck is that little thing can we shoot that guy let's make sure he's dead before we have to go up there there we go now we need to jump there we are lovely stuff we've got another vent which goes that way we've also got guys a violet up there so that might be a secret path that we can take if we do this oh no it's just a little collectible oh no maybe you're not maybe not here we go oh that was close okay that was so close guys almost got to a secret area though look there's a memory up there i think so oh we can shoot the pigs now there we go look it's hiding in that halt in that hole in the wall there we go we've got a new vent which we can use to yes collect bottle awesome i don't know what these bottles do quite but i'm sure they come in handy so there we go that is a nice secret area we've obtained and next i think we want to go the other way i want to go around this way this time and up this vent there we are look at that oh we've got another guy here great no no no alice don't jump no why ah i hate it when games do that when they like allow you to just fall off the edge of stuff mid-fight here we go though i think we've taken care of them this time we can head on inside uh what are these we've got like turkeys just hung up well they're not turkeys are they i think they're um what's that bird called it's is that bird that's in the alice in wonderland books i can't remember what its name is anyway let's pull the lever and see what happens onward we go then look at them all being roasted it's so weird oh it's very gory in here as well like there's a lot of blood and guts you can go down here oh no one of these guys okay come on then let's dance boy there we are these guys can be quite temperamental with the shields because they don't go down straight away so you have to be on sort of guard to do another dodge as soon as you finish attacking them we did it we're pros at this game there's another one outside now not anymore though we made short work of him right let's see where we need to go next there we are both of them down 220 teeth still quite a ways off being able to upgrade again look at this world though isn't it amazing like just looking around game so cool i'm so glad i'm replaying this because i don't really remember it at all like it was so long ago when i played it um but i i honestly don't remember much of it in fact it's so old that you can't even buy it on steam anymore like i've got this from like like i say 10 years ago or something you can't actually buy on steam anymore uh okay where do we go next onto this cog oh there's another one over there a little lighter i'm gonna shoot him before we go over we'll finish him off there we go and now jump across nicely done oh we're in like a cathedral type area slice and dice him nicely dodged there sometimes the camera can be a bit funky when you're like fighting people on this game it's not a big deal though it's just can be a bit annoying and i guess for you guys watching it's a bit annoying when you don't get to see what enemy i'm fighting because the camera's messing up look at that as well the graphics are actually really good still like if you think of how old this game is now it does still look really good looks like quite a modern game in some ways here we go across to there i don't know where we're heading i guess up to this clock tower thing yeah we're going in there aren't we but here come the minions all right come on bring it on let's dance come on oh no that's meant to go back in quickly when that happens there i keep messing it up there we go oh man we just severed his head we took his head clean off okay we've got the next area open i just want to go back actually because there's some boxes over here to break stuff to collect there we go we've got some roses for hearts in this game like the health items are roses as you can see in the top left of the screen guys oh he just appeared out of nowhere wow that guy's that guy can move fast he kind of teleported then oh okay savage you want to play hardball i'll play hardball with you there you go have some of that alice is an absolute savage man she's a tears through these enemies all right there we go guys we've done it we have beaten all the goons for now we've got all these ornate teapots about imagine trying to lift the teapot that big to serve a cup of tea we have got a little bit closer to our destination ah we want to go this way next okay so that's the secret path to take next okay and now we need to go this way anyone in this room here probably a stupid question oh there's a memory here we go my heart is open alice never closed never locked it needs no key so when we see little houses like that i think they're memories of alice's own family when we see the glasses they're memories of the doctor i believe and i think maybe the syringe is a memory from somebody else at the asylum maybe that woman at the asylum that used to sort of reside over allison her care there not very well by the sound of it oh no oh we made it okay we made it we made it we're good we're good we're good we're good right there we go guys we indeed made it is there anything this way no oh maybe we can shoot that button by going never mind let's turn this valve on ah here we go we can now get across to that platform if we do a careful couple of jumps like that there we go nice work okay let's wait for it to go down and now jump there we go you kind of have to jump just before you need to in this game otherwise you'll miss the jumps so you have to like predict when something's about to move and jump just before what did i heard a pig snout yeah look there's one where's that gonna lead us oh secret area the bottle excellent let's go over there we go got a bottle and some more loot excellent now let's head on inside here what will we find nobody knows we're inside the mad hatter's lair by the look of it now oh look at this giant room that says lactation what the heck that's kind of weird oh what have we got here demonic teapot spider things ipods okay i guess we hit the eyeball in these right yeah we shoot their eyeball and then we go into the attack and now we gotta dodge that's it you stun them guys by shooting their eyeball and then you go in for the attack that's how you defeat those so this one is cupping and sourcing that's where we're going first all right let's take care of these little enemies first and we'll get to the teapot in a minute because he's like the main threat so you want to get the little enemies out of the way so they don't bother us or we're trying to kill that big one oh move that is you guys know i'm from england we drink a lot of tea in england and i'm partial to cups of tea one of my favorite drinks to have actually so i'll probably have one after i finish this let's play today while i do the editing okay let's go down here shoot this eye oh no there's another one the heck oh no i'm just one of these enemies as well he's trying to get me i'm backing up i'm backing up and backing up let's kill this little minion first there we go down down these teapots slice their eyes up man this is getting tougher having to juggle quite a lot now we'll kill this minion there we go he's down now we can deal with the ipod i'm going to start calling teapot's ipods in real life now i prefer the name there we go we got all the enemies guys we did it that was um quite the battle there actually quite the battle and here we go lots of junk and debris old bits of clock and teapot what's that he's obsessed with time find him or your own time may be short okay you don't have to ask me twice do we need to find the mad hatter our next objective okay we need to run quickly i think guys quick yes just made it just have to be fast to get that one we can't touch this goopy stuff i think it's meant to be tea i think it's meant to be scalding hot tea that's like running down from above i would just hold out a cup and have a quick drink um where do we go next maybe over here through this dark creepy tunnel who knows what we're gonna find at the end some teeth that music's very ominous i just want to see if there's a secret through here because we can shrink down to go to go this way as well oh look there is something in the middle it's another bottle oh man this is gonna be tricky though cause we've got all these moving platforms okay take it easy take it slowly hey cool where's the next one what's up there we've got this yes we did it collects bottle nice good job alice now let's head back and continue our adventure want to find out mad hatter once i found him i might say uh you know a good place to end the episode perhaps guys so it doesn't end too long turn this lever and down we go oh it's ominous down here oh we've got another slide as well okay into the next area of the game i think this is where i'm going to end the sort of let's play guys because this looks like a good place to do it pick up a clockwork bomb some walls and floors are weak and can be destroyed place for clockwork bomb near the weak surface and then detonate it to destroy the weak surface okay so i guess we shoot it once we've picked it up so b to throw a bomb okay so where is the surface we need to destroy is it this one oh no it's at the top okay there we go easy as that we don't even need to shoot it we just need to press b to detonate stuff so throw out a bomb and just press b to detonate easy does it there we are oh lost and found this one's called we're in lost and found now and we've got a door ahead very spooky looking door it says little on it let's go through it our lovely library was a fire trap a conflagration waiting to happen hmm interesting so the library was where the fire began and then here we go we've walked through to the next section and we've got loads of enemies to destroy ah straight away a ton of them when alice's health is low hysteria becomes available enter hysteria by pressing enter okay i don't know what button enter is on the controller while in hysteria alice cannot be hurt and will inflict more damage be careful hysteria only lasts for a limited amount of time okay oh here we go got into hysteria automatically okay cool everything goes black and white that's like really awesome and now we're like all powerful and we can just like shoot stuff like this you're absolutely crazy i like this and we get loads of health as well for doing that that's pretty awesome all right guys let's see where this goes i'm going to finish this section and then i think we'll call it for the video today enter aiming mode by pressing t shoot the switch when it's red and inactive when it turns green it's activated um okay oh i see so we can activate switches by shooting them like that nice you've lost your hat and some parts are missing indeed those things being what they are i barely missed their missing as what happened you should know that better than i it's your face after all i know my place when did you ever know your place or how to keep it now what's going on what's going on rounded up and down into my ears and through my eyes not my nostrils down my skeleton riding in my gap the bar was exceedingly fond of trains i don't like them much you won't like this one at all nothing like when mock turtle was in charge of the looking last line this railroads are bloody shambles the stink is ferocious light blinding and noise hallelujah i get the idea a bad train the world is upside down alex inmates run the asylum no thanks and worst of all i've left the greatest tragedy of all if i do help no team in return find my limbs and toss them into the chute machines will do the rest you in a way now that's a good girl best way out is through the clock face right so we've got to find his limbs his legs and his arms to make him whole again and i think guys before we sort of embark on that particular adventure this is a good way to end the video we've just met the mad hatter we've got inside his sort of secret lair and we're trying to find a way to get to the train i think and he's going to help us i think if we rebuild his body so we'll be doing that in the next episode if you guys want to see more
