What amazes me about this band is you never really paid attention to Jerry Cantrell's vocals until he did his solo career. You go back for a listen and then the magical poof happens. His vocals were like a solid bassline in a song. Without it you would wonder what was missing. Then Layne put his unique voice on top to make a wall of vocal goodness. I miss this version of the band.
Nirvanaβs βNevermindβ got all the prestige and Pearl Jamβs βTenβ got all the rock radio airplay but βDirtβ was my favorite album of that era, the I felt a deep emotional connection with. Still love it.
FUCK YES. my favorite from the nineties so raw
We miss you, Layne.
OOOOWWWWW!!!!!
Also known as MAP23 "Barrels o' Fun" on Doom II.
They stole all kinds of good music for those games. Slayer, Metallica, Soundgarden, Pantera...
This is hands down one of the heaviest songs ever. That riff is so simple yet perfect.
Alice In Chains was my favorite band of the 90s. These guys rock.
Alice in Chains >>>> Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, don't @ me
