like 47 minutes to say this but if you're watching this on the replay i will have chapters in the video or whatnot so i'm just going live real quick and talking about a few things and and then make some beats of course so just let me know how the audio is i will be shouting people out as they come in i know how these things take a little bit of time youtube is a little weird especially on these some shout outs here teddy bear asaurus tracks what's good good damon what is going on melendez dj dj okay the general damn what up [Music] hey what's good big brother knit what's good all right cool adios gucci that's what's up what's up bichell what is good atl checking in that's what's up hey [Music] yeah we got we got to do something better about that everybody does air horns so klaus what's good raymar what's going on st lou in the building i shot clouds toronto hey you know i'm checking in with everybody i definitely want to see you know who's from where if you're checking in uh right now you know i like to give a little bit of shout outs to whatnot so what's going on randy davis what is good what's good what's good um but yeah i don't have much on the menu as far as well i want to do a couple of demonstrations here you know i want to talk about some stuff and you know here it is i'm i guess i'll do some housekeeping right now so uh black friday uh no cap in the wrap i guess uh you can check us out over here at dj mccree.net as you know i was hiring sound designers and yeah they came through we would have new stuff up momentarily i do apologize for how it displays on a windows laptop it does not chop off like that on a safari and i did this on the macbook by the way so i do apologize for that but we got new packs we got a cmp checking in cmp did a special pack for the website uh and let's go ahead and just go over there so we got sample packs right now two new sample packs uh we're gonna see how they sound like in a second here so uh what i'm gonna do is take down the music for a second here i got the i'm gonna keep it real here and we're gonna listen to what cnp got [Music] [Music] uh i was not expecting cop to come through on a loop like that yes uh wow you know he said he has some stuff here and as you can see to keep things in in tandem to what i was talking about you know he followed all the things necessary you know he put that in the loop the bpm and the scale or the key that it's in so so i'm just listening along here and uh this is some of the new stuff we got over there at dj mccree.net [Music] chicken in the chat say where you from yeah we'll talk about that in pc expenses we'll do that [Music] let's go to the next one [Music] macho man what is good i won't make you a moderator but for some reason i just feel like you go you gonna be people left and right dj donny g was good so this is vices right here it's made by cmp craft master productions so yeah it comes with uh 20 [Music] what is it it's 20 samples and then he broke down all the stem so you know and then you can use the code right here which is this code right here uh trap tendon you get 50 off yeah that's damn crispy i like that man i like that so cmp came through so what we got over here uh and this is the other pack right here and it's by starboard and it's called shoshin [Music] what's good colorado what's going on ohio i see y'all ohio [Music] colorado in the building hey i want to hear more just break it down [Music] i am [Music] [Music] oh crispy crispy and then we got classic stuff too as well and then the one i just played was is royalty free and it comes with uh 20 samples [Music] this is a trentendo 88 this is the stuff by the extra stuff that i did for tm88 [Music] shout out to tm if he's watching and if not shout out 601 in the building no no 601 in the building [Music] what's this next one though oh yeah yeah that there's an actual song to that of course uh but i'm still trying to work some stuff out with the artist man it's man on your own sampler [Music] i don't have it turned up by the way either [Music] crab candle [Music] man yeah i'm kind of mad at that but uh yeah so what we're gonna do is uh keep this thing rolling so we're gonna check out uh the npc sale because somebody said that they had a pretty good sale going on uh so i will i will link them out later but it's akaipro.com so we'll get to that right now let's get to the bottom of this that's always a good suggestion [Music] but yeah let's go ahead and check them out real quick all right we about 10 minutes in all right so people keep asking me this question and i think i should just answer it right so the main thing uh i do like making beats on the nbc i'm not one of the people that do a review on a product and then just totally abandon it just for the next hot thing my job isn't to be a salesperson by the way i want to clear the air i just totally respect love technology and i quite enjoy making music but i have personal preferences that will you know be the thing that people like about my channel because that's why you're tuned in i guess so but uh so we can get more into it right here we're gonna go ahead and people the main question people ask me is yeah you know what is the best mpc expansion so yeah we're gonna look at a couple of them right here so let's go ahead and do that uh oh oh lord oh this is getting a full video oh god damn a guy i need some applause man god damn matter of fact you know what you know what let me open up free loops real quick i'm gonna open up free loops and we're gonna get a crowd effect bruh we're gonna do that right now uh let's see i'm gonna pull up my um whoa why is my fl studio up here you know what that is the thing i do not like about windows laptops and i know i can turn that off but i i shouldn't have to that is just annoying there's better prompts than that uh so man i got boy i got so much stuff uh so many samples we'll talk about look at my look at my samples on my computer and i don't even have all these on my mpc i'm gonna get a bigger uh [Music] i will i'm gonna uh i'm gonna dread the day i gotta drag all these on there but it's like over i don't know how many gigs you know this is gonna be a big thing so but i wanted an effect on a sound where is it at i gotta figure out which folder it's in you know what screw it we're not going to do that right now if i if i can't remember oh video game stuff let's go over here and grab this effect so we can have it for the crowd chairs if this fits this will be fitting my tyson punch out [Music] oh oh yeah if you if you're wondering you already know man you know you already know i got i got stuff now with the name i tried tend over i got things tucked yes sir that's gonna that yes sir yes sir yes sir let me drop that up in there and i can drop that in what i did was i dropped it in my stream deck which if you are a streamer man i highly recommend getting a damn stream deck and it's on deck right now so let's load the volume on it but yeah that's how we're going to welcome people in i wish you could put uh like a like uh effects on there like you can put a reverb or something like that you know that's my caveat for that but uh yeah re-effects in nexus 4 no no cap uh what's going on meg games uh but let's go ahead and talk about this npc stuff man but uh bravo bravo the kai actually uh doing some things for black friday yeah i had to use it but uh let's go over here uh get this thing popping though so again i'm gonna do a shorter content of this you know it's no reason for me not to uh but the best-selling pack sole provider i'm not surprised uh that's decaf strum that knocks that's pretty good i bought it from the the website uh pure platinum 100 000 get that uh i have drum i have dojo dust this is a ski beats joint right here uh i've been through it a little bit but you know i need more i need to weigh in on a whole ass video and cook up something before i have an opinion uh the f9 expansion highly recommended oh look at them damn they really they for real got it together good idea i'm a pro shout out to akai for getting it together hey he cliff what's good my dude i don't know if i gave you a shout out last time big brother nick nick yeah man what's good yeah so he said give you power hell no macho man i would never give you power all right so we got uh snipe young's new joint right here which is labyrinth i'm gonna tell you right now that is that's freaking good that is freaking good gold dust is very good it's a a whole bunch it's a conglomerate like a what do you call it a compilation of sounds from these sound designers snipe young uh you had jet set which is actually pretty good i checked out uh the broken hearts trapped soul edition it's pretty decent i will say that i i saw that you know i heard that the drum textures weren't you know just so you know you know what i'm saying like for trap you would think it's gonna be about the same lex luger snap clap stuff and all that and uh even though that's still good uh to have that just in different kind of textures it it's not so much that it's bringing uh that exact same texture but the drums do snap the way you do like you would want it at least so yeah gold that's pretty good you know ms6 audio [Music] matt flacco thank you for subbing yeah uh boom back uh i'll save my critiques in another video dynamic soul i'll save my critiques for another for our video pad thai if you if you make hip-hop beats 100 lo-fi boom-bap you need like solid 90s type drums it's this solid hip-hop jumps all together like even some of the other textures that he had just covers all scales of hip-hop but yeah once you if you try to bring that into what if you bring that into low-fi you got a whole bunch of drums and i actually have a beat uh that i've done several beats with this like live and people already know sopa fighter 3 again very good pick no shocker that this is the best selling one on their website national cap very good hip-hop drums kind of field-ish more like uh flying lotus so if you if you're into like flying lotus type production then sole provider 3 is is fantastic for that these brothers are from texas and i keep on beating people shout out shout out to all my texas people ken on the beat a perk alone and young beans i know there's more of you guys but you know and of course all my peoples that i know out there in texas so shout out to texas y'all being very good to her brother uh pure platinum again i co-sign that i want to i want to see what that's about uh first before i say anything what else is good though what else is good that's pretty decent if you want to make kind of uh 90s r b style stuff yeah pretty good again if you like uh dance hall afrobeat and like reggaeton again my inspiration for buying this was playing cyberpunk 2070s 2077 and the radio station the principals the principals whatever uh just dope hard hitting reggaeton uh just look it up on youtube uh sole provider 2 is okay i'll say that and this is supposed to be ovo type sounds obviously uh let's see ones that i have though new jack throwback why haven't i done a video on that still good though i don't i never tried sole provider so i i don't know how to urban instruments by adsr the collaboration with akai and adsr shout out to adsr by the way they got some dope stuff for black friday i had to cover that in another video but and then uh yeah it just gets kind of thin from there but if i was to pick five like off top i would pick uh labyrinth pad pad thai sole provider pure platinum that covers all my genres right uh all the different genres right there and maybe go for like a wild card one if you don't this would be a wild card one if you don't have the f9 expansion because it just has solid sounds like solid sounds that you know you would use i mean the new 2.10 update brought a lot more to the table and just man like prepare yourself bro like urban echo man you already know there's some heavy hitting she's around that she's a track star that song like that's kind of man those vibes are good man i just i just like like that and that's that's one uh i can't think of his name right now but they play his is joined on the radio all the time if you're into hip-hop that is so so 107 107.9 v103 they they definitely uh play a lot of afro beat stuff so they said soul provider's been pimped out but yeah that seems like to wrap up for uh the mpc expansions there uh as far as like what they have there i'm going to keep this thing moving what else we got here i'm going to make sure that i have things going here and we get back to the music music here all right so i'm going to check something real quick hopefully i didn't close it let me bring it over here so let's let's keep this thing moving here uh yeah see i knew i had uh messed up something oh no let's go ahead and grab that up oh man in fact i can just do this and we'll we'll talk about sounds uh there's some pretty shockingly good uh sales this year uh in hardware uh as you know if you don't know a lot of people have been coming approaching me talking about well why do i have to pre-order this why i had to pre-order that well there's a lot of shortages on parts and stuff like that so this if you can find a piece of good gear well i recommend it because i would say inventory is low so yeah if you're wondering why you didn't get an sp 404 immediately mark two and that might be the reason so uh we're gonna go over here and talk about sounds.com uh one of the things that i was shocked about when i went down just uh here i see that novations dropped the price on the circuit rhythm is now 300 which is an incredible price for that particular unit so i wouldn't sleep on that right there so yeah don't sleep on an evasion circuit rhythm and what i'm gonna do here is just prove i have one i'm not i'm not capping and i'm not the type of person uh that will sit here and tell you that this piece is good and it's not uh you know i have my reserved things about it okay that's the bat you see the you can tell where the the battery is yeah and that's the main thing that you'll see it's not plugged up it's portable so 300 portable unit that samples now the caveat for the sampling right now it's loading the samples so it took a second here but i only have one beat on here but uh yes but you can back it up with a micro sd card again i'm not a fan of that but you know it is what it is at this point you kind of get the the reason why they settle for that if you look at the at the i o in the back and you have full size five pin midi i mean that's that's pretty decent that's a good start uh it's not rough you know you get two bar loops off top and that's one of the things i didn't like about it but uh as far as it being a good sampler then yes uh don't the another caveat is definitely the the tracks like it's monopoly per track so you can't play polyphonic uh you can't play more than one note is what i'm trying to tell you so that's a caveat but i'm going to keep it 1000 with you i'm going to keep it trill real uh and i'll what i'll do here is this so i have my mpc plugged up as i always do and uh we're going to check it out here we're going to check it out live and direct matter of fact boom here we go uh of course i had my mpc on because i was making a beat earlier and listening to beats so we're gonna get back to it i need to uh [Music] oh no buzz sound good good very good very good all right i'm gonna put this right here i don't wanna no my plug just dropped like way behind here and i'm gonna have to go and grab the one in the living room let's plug it in here and i will pause the music so we can hear what ad mccree did on this thing right here the second rhythm yeah i'm using a different camera by the way um the gato face cam not a good look so uh play yeah we all can hear that right oh what the world yeah no oh did i unplug it i think i did i did x sucks booty they get that right i got you [Music] [Music] yeah that needs to come down and volume [Music] and yeah it's pretty good let's go ahead and chop that up again so let's go over into here yeah don't sleep on that um now let's get to it [Music] all right so you know i gotta let this thing roll it does have its own effects [Music] somebody said no uh 404 mark ii love as far as the sale no no there's no there's no uh love on that sale you know they just dropped that i'm pretty sure you're just talking about me using it so but anyways no i don't want a side chain let's go to grid effects and it has some pretty good grid effects of course you have this parameter right here or this pad right here which allows you to latch and you can hear the low fly i'm gonna turn up [Music] so it's a really good drum machine it's not hard to learn one thing i will say uh one thing i will say is you know it's not everybody's cup of tea okay that's cool i wanted to make sure that uh we're not getting any initial sound here let's get this music popping again but yeah pretty good deal pretty good deal for this um for that price point right here yeah there we go but yeah [Music] 2.99 i couldn't believe it when i first saw it i like what really really they're really trying to compete and if you're asking me i think they're just they just know uh with a unit like this which is fantastic uh there is an sp 404 mark ii out on the market so somebody mentioned that in the chat and yeah they got to show up they got to show up and show out because then i would compare this not to the sp 404 mark ii at all no i would compare this to something like if you are into that the workflow of the sp four or four 404 uh sx and the a and and it improves on everything that those two don't do very well i mean sampling on here is about as uh is about as stressful i guess but at the same time you know they have about the same kind of like there the sp 404 sx had their software right and you would load up your samples that way onto onto you know the what was it the sd card and then uh this one right here you can just plug it up to your computer and you can charge it up and all that stuff so you know there's a lot of pluses for this right here so uh don't don't get don't get full don't get it twisted let me turn this off because uh i want to say the battery because i make beats with this uh in the bed uh that's another great thing about this it's not as intrusive so uh that will do it for that one let's talk about some more stuff here kazan's had a lot of licks let's see oh the universal audio hasn't even dropped this yet uh the volt 476 i think i think this right now i think right now yeah so they have them in stock oh no it says pre-order today oh but uh yeah i i want this really bad i want this for my ipad i want this for making beats on my mpc so i can run it through the compressor i mean i have the sp 404 mark ii but it can't be plugged up as an audio interface yet and i know that's gonna happen somebody make that happen akai please roll it please let us live our dreams yeah but yeah this right here isn't it's not it's cheaper than it would it would be i think it was like four i think maybe am i tripping let me know in the chat what is going on michael heath what is good the electron samples compared to that uh nissa if you ask me nissan leaf oh boy not that i don't like the not not that i didn't enjoy the electron model samples uh but dude i just didn't like the fact that how you would handle uh you couldn't chop samples one uh well you could in in a certain way by you using probabilities but dude anyways yeah it was a lot lot to be said they said the model samples had horrible pads uh i could deal with the pads they're not the best for sure i agree with you teddy bear dj sweetie what is going on uh do you use drum machine on mpc uh is the circuit rhythm always better do you use drum machine on the mpc i don't get that question i'm trying to paraphrase or figure it out or you know i'm saying but uh no i'm definitely using my mpc over everything uh if that's the case my mpc is the heartbeat of all my production for sure y'all guys know that no need to cap on that but yeah they have a special offer on that what's this special offer i think it might have to do something i don't want to uh assume then buy an sp sb404 mark ii get six free months of rolling cloud membership what dammit yeah damn it yo god dawg and they have everything too on the rolling cloud they just started piping up to the point of where i want to check out stuff on the rolling cloud but yeah it's still in pre-order though uh just to know um but that is the black friday deal and that is pretty damn decent i don't know if that's universal we'll find out uh momentarily uh so what's the deal on that or or is that yeah oh my my way i want that so bad jesus it's not on sale or anything i just want it i just wanted one and one and wanted because i got the wave state and the wave state is amazing uh this seems more this seems simplified in comparison uh i do see that they kept the normal workflow of the uh come on man i hate that my pad does that but anyways uh it seems more transparent in terms of how you would uh make sounds uh and then i know all the sound designers that i've created for uh the mind wave and boy uh when i talk about those sound designers you they think my studio is stupid with uh stuff equipment bruh but yeah this right here i definitely want i want my wave sure i had the wave state i'm yet to do a full review on it even though i've i hyped it up and i thought it was worth hyping up i've done a couple of live streams with the the wave state i did just did one recently where i was like damn like making those sounds were way better um anyways so what else they have as far as their sale guitarists give some guitarists give spaces gifts for creators gifts for djs i see the mpc in there somehow for some reason gifts for keyboardist uh let's see what the gifts for keyboards look like uh here oh yamaha so we got uh the cheaper stuff i'm not saying the yamaha's cheap oh my god trio microfreak for 349 dollars uh i'm ok i kid you not uh if you want to pair something up with the mpc this some gun is phenomenal this right here i've i've seen people play with this i would like a desktop version of that uh just because i don't want to have all that extra space you know it makes it harder to display but the sounds out of that were were amazing the jd xa that's the the jd part was right but i don't i don't know about the xa i i've heard you know people use it though and it was pretty decent but you know anyway so let's go ahead is the is an xy vector pad on the top left yes uh that will be much like uh in your you're referring to the chord mod wave it's much like the korg electrode i love that xy pad or what what i had as my oh this is my favorite midi controller i'm never gonna get rid of it uh and that would be the korg what is it what is that joint man the core tactile and i wish i would have got the triton version of that uh when they had it it's discontinued now so keyboard controllers bass effects and stuff like that okay i had a guitar stuff i got enough uh i got enough freaking guitar pedals i got like over 40 guitar pedals so i'm good at that i got to live too push 2. yeah i got the live 2 but i got the push too as well and then i got the kai force i definitely would love to check out the digi tone one day or the digi tag more more likely the digi tone yeah i read the message i read the message i got you all right so what else we got uh sweetwater sweetwater.com they are some pretty decent stuff i saw on their sale again the link's in the description box if you want to check it out it is an affiliate link so it does help support the channel at no additional cost oh yeah shield time baby you already know the fives i'm putting cases on all you but anyways uh let's go ahead and check out some of this stuff they have the isotope holiday bundle they have that every year i mean i i recommend not spending 49 and just spending you know maybe 200 something dollars we'll get into it a little later uh the diamond bundle probably would be the best one uh just skip over this you know if you're gonna go spend money spend money right uh what's in the diamond bundle by the way so you have rx elements in the holiday bundle you have ozone standard which is good uh the r zone uh that means arizona rx elements is you're not getting the key thing that makes uh rx 8 or 9 because they're on 9 now very good and it's not the extra features that they added it's just the fact that you can reverse engineers stuff neutron standard pretty good trash 2 rs2 good good r2 i don't even know what that is excalibur i don't know what that is what a phoenix verb i've heard of it didn't want to do a review on it because i'm i'm kind of worn out on reverbs uh break tweaker something i need to talk about more on my channel cinematic textures kicks and snares modern grooves vintage machines a stutter edit to phenomenal plug-in by the way neo-verb is their artificial intelligence reverb now i wasn't really impressed with it because again i got so many different reverbs it's like whatever i just pick out every verb i like the most uh but it is useful in the hints that it can give you the right reverb using ai uh nectar three very good vocal i don't know why more companies don't make vocal chains uh that and this one has artificial intelligence stunning artificial intelligence two of that for mixing vocals i'll probably get into that in another video so we'll we'll do that i'll get into that um yeah 150 i think that's pretty decent outside of the fact that you don't get anything your rx doesn't uh isn't the most phenomenal what is there a bigger package deal for that uh the digi tag doesn't have auto chopper i'm not mad with i'm not mad if it doesn't have auto chop i wouldn't necessarily care if it didn't uh what's going on hot lionheart glassworks appreciate you uh you dig the electric the electribe uh i like the workflow of the electribe when i had it i did it was a lot of menu diving but you could avoid that as long as you stayed within the synths so the the synth engine on the electronic tube the one that's old uh right not not the very first one with the electrode two let me go ahead sampler uh it was pretty damn good and the fact that it can link up to modular gear i was big on modular even though i wasn't good at it uh gavinwood said he just got a malindy editor for 2 30. that is pretty damn good [Music] um let me see here what do we have uh man the amount of amazing stuff out there for musicians these days just blows my mind i kid you not i kid you not it is actually very good i like the po33 on oh it's like the po33 on steroids uh the mpc affects the sense are good do you see yourself only using hardware so i have a question here i'm gonna go ahead and read it again since i read it under my breath uh it's from iran ali and he says uh mpc effects sims are they good i'm just paraphrasing or do you see yourself only using hardware uh if you're talking about my experience with the the mpc if you're talking about my experience with the mpc uh i can use the mpc 100 standalone and and get the exact results uh this beat right here sample and sounds coming from the mpc that's it uh the only thing that i would say is different if you hear the drums the drums are actually drums that i created off my own website right here so at dj mccree.net so the drums i use for a lot of my funk beats which a lot of people don't know and it's probably my best selling kit to on on planet earth uh for those oh no it's this right here uh this is the lawrence of funk uh metro bowman metro bowman used this uh drum kit a ton of times matter of fact he took a sample that i chopped up and turned around and made a song out of it not not getting into it because i'm cool uh and i appreciate him doing that by the way cause even though he didn't give me a shout out it's fair drake's album uh anything that is uh pr like memphis related the producers on there use that uh shout out again and i want to give a shout out again to tm88 because he did that song that i'm too sexy joint with a uh with us with csd so you know that is pretty dope that's one thing i really like uh about that album uh other than that it was a pretty sort of uh clb uh which is an acronym for certified lover boy very good album uh not gonna say it's not the uh i'm gonna say it's the best but you know anywho uh yeah those drums right here they hit so well we're back to the conversation here let me go back but yeah i could use the mpc for by itself dude i don't necessarily need the software i mean it gets better we're getting there we we're getting there you know we uh we're tracking along let me get we'll go ahead and get this thing going so we're gonna check out just a little bit more uh black friday stuff here all right let's go back all right it loading up stuff you know it's uh extensive which guitar is that i already have i have a i have a dope ass tailor guitar so i'm not really plugging as far as that acoustic goes i need a and i'm making sure i take care of that thing because that thing was hella expensive so what else they got um as far as the functionality of this website here i would go into something like uh a different category so you could go into different categories and sort things out i see that they're recommending like the universal audio apollo twin uh i i'm not gonna go against their recommendation here especially if you're on a apple computer and by the way the macbook air m1 uh is uh 849 stay tuned i'm going to do a whole entire video on my one-year experience with it and then i'm going to also talk about the best laptops for music production that's what i do every time this year yeah so but the uad apollo i would i like the solo better for the price point because you can see fifteen hundred dollars for just an audio interface and some plugins you you have to experience uh universal audios like quality before you can appreciate how and the basic workflows and what makes these audio interfaces special is that they have processors built inside of them so they can use their native plugins in tandem with that audio interface to process audio and from there the audio quality is crisp that's the one thing i like about being in the living room making beats or or when i do my mpc beats videos and stuff like that that audio quality is prestige just keep it in 1 000. i think that's on sale right here that uh solid state logic ssl2 i would have got that as my audio interface expansion for my mpc if it had more io i still think that this is the best deal here uh okay 369 a uh that that is something i'm the most interested in in terms of if i was to get audio another audio interface and this would be for the mpc by the way guys if you don't know the npc doesn't it's the goat it's the goat uh everett says got an sp555 to go with my mpc 1000 today so damn happy uh congratulations to you uh no doubt after the aftermarket for hardware is ferocious right now excuse me uh a soul what's going on he said upgrade to cheerios seven to eight for only 99 bucks that's the steal i i agree with you pigments 3 is also 100 off right now that is i mean 100 dollars off well if it was 100 off it would be free right um very good very good vst plug-in atria does this plug-in uh but back to this yeah if i was to get another audio interface and uh you'll see i'm gonna go through the pictures here uh and that's just plugs this is something that shocked me you know well you got inputs on the front and then they got uh line in three line in four in the back so that's cool you can run two things mono or just one thing stereo so that's a good that's a big plus i'm very curious at how the software works uh this right here comes in handy if you make beats on hardware holy crap and it will work with the mpc too by the way guys so you you can expand your midi so if you have the live or if you have the mpc one you can expand your midi with this right here and it plugs up usb type c uh you can use type c to type a if you need to do that um but yeah you can have multiple and i'm not a huge fan of having multiple monitor outs uh just it depends on the workflow that it just depends on what the software would do and i'm not doubting you a ua in terms of their software their software blew me off the out the chair god damn you cmp and mg the future god damn you i'm putting cases on all you but uh yeah volume knob for your headphones is this the biggest offering well yeah i love this design though it's just simple it's very simple it's not you know i don't need my damn audio interfaces to look like they're going out of space and um and then you have your your hard button right here so you can process like through the 76 compressor algorithm that they have on there man look oh okay so you can switch ends oh that's awesome now finger now buttons buttons make me happy i just like this i like this design it just says hey you know you're a vintage mofo but you also appreciate audio quality and yeah dawg oh yeah okay so the 476 is their biggest offer and then they have the 276 which is 299. uh it has a lot less though does it have midi on the back no uh yeah wow so what is the cheat does the cheapest offering have that if it does oh my god wow whoa that's a big deal wow what's going on stef han what's happening man the twin used to be like 200 cheaper i believe uh teddy bear i believe that they added more plugins to the package so they could raise the price and keep the market value and that would have to do with parts and labor almost everybody's doing that right now unfortunately fortunately i guess all right michael he said i got a tr i got some trs cables today so i can finally use my machine plus with my sample track st224 that's what's up that is what's up all right so what we got what else on the uad side what what else we got on the recording as far as uh sweetwater goes and i wonder if these uh prices are gonna stay the same through this whole entire weekend that is very important i think oh man that looks so cool whoa that looks so cool whoa yo like this is like like this it does help you having vu metering is cool uh i mean it's awesome for the fact that damn uh add to list please don't make me log on okay boom yeah uh but you know for the most part you know as far as this goes um it's kind of what is that ver what is the plug-in by isotope that i love the hell out of and uh and it allows you to see different peaks and stuff like that um i'm a peak i'm a you know i love information and this would just look great on your desk all together for aesthetic reasons but you know don't buy it for aesthetic reasons oh yikes that's awesome oh what [Music] thank you for the sub yo oh word yeah that would be dope then they got 5.1 [Music] yeah so what else we got here you know there's some speakers and stuff that i think are very interesting if you're well let me use the right word monitors i i heard a lot of good things about kylie audio i have listened to him but i was at guitar center when i was listening to them so it's hard to judge acoustics what it what it is and that's very important because uh you if you don't get the right size speakers for your room uh yeah and that's kind of the reason why i do a lot of my mixing on my headphones because it's easier for me to guess and get stuff better get stuff right and speaking of which these are the bare dynamic dt 770 80 ohm headphones and i believe they are on sale uh they're on sale at zounce.com as i look through sweetwater but okay so again this is my macbook air m1's audio interface right here and this is probably the best one for mixing vocals uh and and being able to and mobile and have mobility at that and on sweetwater.com uh they give you a wire i believe so you know it's just free uad plug-ins that that's always the case with uh the heritage bumble and you're paying a little bit more just make sure that you're getting the macbook version if you are a macbook or apple user and make sure that you're getting the windows version if you're a windows user because you can make that great mistake and you will be upset i did i could talk about this for days uh very good stuff but you're not gonna get but more than two plug-ins on there um if you had the apollo solo it has the weakest processor out of all of their audio interfaces because it's their entry-level audio interface so it was the entry-level audio interface well into their whole entire processing processor which the volt does not have a built-in processor so that is the reason why it's cheaper because it has less computer parts and if you have noticed uh one thing about uh the industry right now is that a lot of people remember the mpc studio uh it got you know mixed reviews from people but it was their way of being able to stay in competition for shortage part shortages but i believe that the mpcs are in stock so you know you can get your mpc if you want one but you know other companies are struggling in that regard and so is akai but everybody uh in this industry right now they have to make a piece that doesn't require a lot of computer parts motherboards uh transist well they can they can do transistors there's enough of those around uh but those speakers are vocal shape love the design of those speakers uh let's see i think that wraps it up for that but yeah there's a couple of things that i think are pretty decent uh for sale you know just see for yourself pick out a category and go through it uh all right plug-in stuff we're on plug-in stuff right now the grime word 129 is cheap are y'all obtaining the core collection three i have the core collection three already um i enjoy it it was probably one of my bigger reviews um so whatever it say uh thank you everybody i need to say something to people that know what that means oh i ever oh yeah yeah yeah yeah all right i i feel you my dude all right so plugger boutique you know i've already done a video on the cheap plug-ins i haven't did it on the more expensive plug-ins so you know that that's one of the things i got to do i don't i ain't going to trip out on that i usually get burnt out during black friday just talking about all the crazy stuff happening uh but yeah so you can see clearly that they have tons of sales to sell keeps on continuing uh through here it says november 26th so the softube stuff is about to expire soon uh the native instrument stuff is about to expire soon and that that collection is pretty good um of course if you don't have massive by now you can get it the regular massive but you can get massive x for a hundred dollars too that that is a thing um yeah i should do a native instruments v well i am right got my content for it uh yeah so and link loop cloud drum i have tried it out it was it was okay for the functionality that i could do uh through the free service but uh you have a tree of pigments again 99 i've done so many damn videos on this plug-in there's no point in me talking about it anymore uh glitch machines this is a slept on company that has plenty of good stuff they got dope plugins man they have dope plugins uh they're not easy to use i will say that but there's enough presets and i want to get there uh sample pack too i'm gonna have to get their sample pack that stuff is up i might have a couple of them uh tucked up somewhere in my folders but i'm gonna move them over because they do have one shots they have one shots too uh so i'm gonna go ahead and check them out again but uh yeah i like this company they have been under-appreciated glitch machines has and it sucks because a lot of stuff if you're into like modular synthesis or shoot you could just be into hip-hop a lot of their stuff this their sounds their plugins are percussive you know they're not harmonically sound like you know if you use the you know uh play like a piano or something like that they're not those type of sounds they're they're more sci-fi out of this world type stuff so if you're internet hey tiffany how you doing how are you doing uh hewitt what's going on uh i got the waste factory quantum uh in my plug-in boutique cart do i pull the trigger uh let's react to that because i haven't had a chance to check it out i know people were telling me uh some things uh i might have an email uh from somebody but you know quantum seems like some pretty cool stuff uh so i know they probably wanted some material but i'm gonna check it out let's go ahead and check out the hi i hate that let's go ahead and check that out let's see all right let's see what's going on here all right and i will be cooking up by the way and i have time stamps and stuff like that for people to come and check it out but yeah let's let's check it out real quick [Music] all right let's go here [Music] all right i had to turn down that volume so it's a transient shaper that's one thing that's pretty good i know uh d-cap just dropped his transient shaper said trowel it should i trial it live i think i'll do that [Music] 16 built-in effects [Music] that you can apply independently their lo-fi their lo-fi plug-in the cord that cassette tape plug-in was very good so i don't doubt they're [Music] make something that you didn't need and you will oh you'll soon wonder how you mix without it hmm interesting i don't know i don't know we're probably gonna have to check that out uh but so i'll tell you what uh this is what i'll do i will uh download it now i'm gonna move my get the hell out of here oh jazzy jeff going in oh here we go again uh yeah oh here we go again yeah good to see you again tiffany i haven't seen you in a while all right yeah you know my studio is crazy right now it looks crazy crazy so anyways uh this is what i do uh i'm gonna get the trial version right now uh and then i'm gonna log in and get the trial version right now yeah so that's what we'll do we'll check out the trial version of it right now since we're talking about plug-in boutique stuff you know i plan on quantum all right yo just take me to quantum oh it's a part of a low five bundle too uh i am trying to get to it for some reason now i can't get to it uh let's go to quantum i just want quantum come on now i just want quantum so what i'm going to do is go ahead and download the trial version of quantum right here off pluginboutique.com and uh you know i have the if you want to support and you like it and you haven't got it well guess what uh there's a link in the description box that is an affiliate link that will help support this channel so that's a good way because i don't have any reason to be biased live or bias at all but but being biased live like oh this is awesome but that would be funny though because people called me out for my so i am very curious about it because it is a transient shaper you know and oh no i don't need the macbook version but you know there we go i'm downloading it now i'm going gonna go ahead and grab it and i'll install it all right grab it off uh that folder here we'll get to it please be patient yeah we're gonna we're gonna see what this is really about uh we'll close fruity loops let's close live uh we got to talk about that soon anyways right close that all right now we can desktop it up all right so the world's dustiest desktop is in front of you right now as you can see i've been installing moving all kinds of oh yeah that language boy uh too late for that so i'm gonna click on this just install it [Music] uh oh nah i was kidding let me stop man i like this company i like this company all right i accept that's the only way all right install install install is it going into my uh steinberg vst folder which is linked to all of my daws all right it's installed we're gonna find out what it's really about so we're gonna open up ableton live and get right to it hey where's my chat dice what's going on hey guys due to another artist i have changed my name my production name from battleship beats to now wow i got the aspire studio so much fun yeah it's really good if you're if you're into a lot of acoustic stuff you will be fired at using the aspire studio um it is ways where you can do more do heavier production i still call it fruity loops too where is that i purchased the sniper young's labyrinth by the way um but yeah let's go ahead and get more soul into this right here so yeah let's load up the same beat i always do uh bill evans true uh trio uh let's see i do i use that beat you know i kind of want to hear some uh hip hop stuff anyway so that's what we're gonna do right now uh so we're checking out because we got a question in the chat and you know i want to go ahead and weigh in i guess trey bans what's going on he said yo i just got done watching two of your videos uh divine timing thanks man uh no thank you for showing up man uh bishop 91 was what's up i watched your videos but this is the first time catching a live stream oh well hey man you are in the place to be uh let's go ahead and turn on my push 2 over here windows is so annoying for that and if you're hearing a little uh just like extra air under my voice that's because i got the heat on bro it's cold outside what is it 47 degrees out here in atlanta yeah it's cold so uh i think [Music] all right all right so i got this track right here what i'm going to do is make the center focus the drum scene it says it's a transient shaper i would expect it to really affect the drums so i'm going to type in the word wave factory i believe and that will work or i could just go no no is it all one word or is it a wav factory uh let's see i guess not vst3 uh wait yeah wait a ways factory yeah uh so we got quantum right here i'm gonna go ahead and load it up uh it's the trial version by the way uh it's supposed to be a trial version running the dip your value you're evaluating a quantum running in demo mode okay continuing demo mode yeah okay cool so now i don't know if it has any other effects or anything like that i just know that this is a transient shaper so i don't know anything about it so everything that i'm gonna do right now means that i don't know anything so the best thing is just to watch and if you have any suggestions of course i will i want to do i want a deal on the tascam model 12. uh i have that too by the way coming soon i gotta make sure i get room for so anyway so this is the drum track right now uh it has a on and off button so i can run the track and these are my drums and now let's turn it on see if it has any coloring [Music] and now i'm gonna see if it has any presets oh [Music] so [Music] okay [Music] there's all kinds of craziness going on with this beat that i do not understand uh one oh okay so that percussive sound is the phaser effect so okay let's go over here let's let's just do this let's do this so i'm going to go over here as it goes to default preset which is awesome so you know they have an initial preset so this is the drums uh what i'm going to do is i'm going to add lo-fi to it and we're going to mess with lo-fi and hear how that sounds oh so is this on the input and this is the output is that what that's telling me because if that's the case uh yeah so you can have stuff going inside and on out oh so that's what i'm gonna do here if possible oh what's good i appreciate that donal everett [Music] [Music] y'all have listened to my nonsense enough tonight hope you find amazing deals [Music] all right so yeah it's the demo version by the way so [Music] okay so they have a drum soft [Music] okay [Music] i don't know what i'm doing [Music] continue with the demo relax [Music] uh let's go into something like pitch shifting [Music] my dumb ass was sitting over here twisting knobs and didn't realize that i had turned it off mm-hmm wow [Music] oh no [Music] whoa what all right hold on [Music] okay at first i thought if you like you can adjust the attack and sustain uh individually for each effect that you pull up uh yeah that's it's still cool let's [Music] this man chris said ab looks like he just got j.lo for christmas oh my god i'll do it i knew it and y'all gonna crack up when y'all see my video tomorrow because i i recorded it earlier today and it had the same shirt it's going to be basically a shorter version of this oh my god my chat coming for me bro y'all don't like my chat look my chat look is on fire bruh [Laughter] i'm a black chad okay [Music] oh [Music] okay [Music] okay i'm listening to what it's doing i freaking hate plugging companies god damn this is dope [Music] wow now if we're going to talk about something i know a lot of you guys are saying oh move over decap now decap is different like decap stuff is like decafs plug in that knock it focuses on different kinds of transient shaping like like clipping like simple stuff like clipping and at a taste at that so i don't know if it's fair to compare this to quantum uh because you know i don't know i mean i don't know if it's fair to compare to quantum let's go ahead and do lo-fi let's see what we got here [Music] uh did i do anything to it because it looks like i'm not getting anything out of the plugin itself ah this is the the downside of freaking all right let me load up a damn demo i said it said no more fun for you sir no more fun for you damn that is all right so let's build it back up again let's go pitch shift uh let's go lo-fi all right let's mess with it [Music] wow that is cool now that is really cool so it's adding extra stuff to your drum drum line to your transients uh that's adding a this is you know what this kind of reminds me of it it reminds me of it reminds me of cable guys noise shaper except in this sense is it its own entity so i'm not saying that they bit cable guys or anything like that they just kind of came with a different way of doing transient shaping so wow [Music] let's do something crazy let's see what it does yo now that is a reverb [Music] no [Music] this is the original one [Music] so [Music] so [Music] so [Music] [Music] yeah uh i approve i approve i approve heavy on that plugin that will get his own review that will get his own review holy i'm putting cases on all you yo really good stuff really good stuff uh what we got here uh clowning i'm putting one set of effects on the attack in a separate set on the sustain okay all right here with h i i see you what's going on j beats and waves what's good my dude now you can add some stuff to the sustain part two cool uh yeah um so that's a really good plug-in that i didn't know about courtesy of of uh hewitt shout outs to him all right so what else we got here let's go ahead and i'm gonna uh get back to over over here uh and we'll go ahead and check out some more stuff yeah so thank you so much for that tip bit that tip that tip that tip was great yeah i could appreciate that that would be great for a lot of genres so i i recommend quantum i recommend quantum if you're gonna get it uh i wish it was a little cheaper [Music] i go live there i mean it's black friday man come on man come on blood i i heard a lot i think i got an email and it was talking to me but i didn't i did not understand what was the whole logistics behind what they wanted to do um but yeah i'm 100 with that um because i can use that in tandem with my mpc and you know getting it's one thing to get good drums but it's quite another to get phenomenal drums and making your drums snap with little to no effort and also having a different kind of texture with little to no effort is it the easiest thing to do okay and that plug-in makes it that much easier for you to process your drums and you know stand out a little bit without losing what you enjoy about the drums that you laid down if that makes sense so you know that it's a pretty good uh deal for that um what's going on uh jf jflo pro said that plugin sounds pretty dope yeah it is it is very good um dice appreciate you for coming through uh god bless you let me see here but yeah you know i just got rc20 i i always i had i've had this for a while i have a whole entire review on like all of the pitch correction softwares uh or plug-ins and it is pretty decent you know it's very straightforward it's not a lot of uh like uh options like the full version of autotune but it's enough to get for you to get the sound that you need if you really want to doctor up somebody's vocals or if you want to exaggerate the vocals like how everybody else does uh v collection eight of course i've had uh the trio collection for quite a while and at this price point is pretty decent uh i saw some pretty decent bundles too that i thought was really good i've done reviews on a lot of these things the only thing i got to really catch up to is like cherry audio stuff and uh and yeah i think i'll i'll get to that point this coming week and the rest of this week too granular synthesis and effects bundle this is something uh that is always slipped on on here we got what output portal and audio damage quanta quanta i have that for the ipad and it is phenomenal if you want to play one shots uh the only thing that sucks about the ipad is loading up one shots on there so you can affect them yeah uh portal done a whole review on that multi see i i don't like them just putting in the granular effects section yes it is a granular effect and uh the people that uh pro developed this plugin they're not even with output anymore god bless the output if they don't find another replacement but uh the portal is a very good uh plugin i've showed off plenty of things i don't even want to walk through walk you through it through this uh live stream all right but yeah yeah quanta uh quantum how much does it cost by i think it's a hundred dollars it's not cheap oh at the wish list oh 60 bucks yo for one shots yes yes uh and uh just to show you the people that sound design uh of course shot shout out to richard man shout out to richard devine um uh atl native has uh like for real estates out here in georgia i i've been in this studio man uh follow him on social media if you really want to get a treat he's worked uh with google to start things off he's worked with jaguar like the porn yes car yeah he's sound designed for for plenty of people he makes great sounds uh adsr of course shout out to them yet again uh audio news room i've heard from them before like i get a lot of uh emails from people and i try to control them so i don't get overly exhausted all right so i think that kind of wraps up the plugin boutique ave can you what uh can you watch spartan remix a spartan remix bro can you watch a sparta remix what do you mean i don't get that how about smoove operator or melodyne essential i have i have melodyne i rarely use it but when i did use it it was to steal midi files from songs you heard me right i stole midi files from songs took the scales uh and put them inside of my mpc so i can play those scales so i would basically take jazz records and take the midi from there and then put the progressions inside of the mpc so you heard me i did that yeah i said it but that's where melodyne shines at the most the reason why i haven't done a tutorial on it or a video because for some reason it once it gets it crashes my audio interface so that's the reason why i haven't uh done that so let's go ahead and get some uh shopping music going right so yeah i've covered all that so the next thing we got to talk about is this right here waves audio so i did a video today uh by the way i it's not out it's not out yet because it wasn't supposed to be out yet so i had to take it down i'm not going to say anything about it but waze has a cell a pretty decent one that i do want to give them a shout out for because it seems like they're it's their best sale they've done and that's saying a lot for ways audio don't really have to get into it i've worked with waze audio on plenty of things i'm more than blessed to be able to have these opportunities with so many different technology companies uh shout outs to kai and native instruments and you know i want to start naming people but you know roland achuria man i'm not trying to turn into kanye west unless i got his uh hairstyle from his interview with don't drink champs but yeah man i'm thankful for all the companies that reach out and and all the opportunities i get and yeah it's it's good but uh black friday sale uh lost plug-in prices of the year that sounds like a cap right so look at the way that they're doing it spend fifty dollars you get one plug-in free uh you spend ninety dollars you get two plugins for free and if you spend 120 dollars you get three plugins for free and and no and i will uh pull up a couple of projects i think i need to grab my hard drive though oh boy that's gonna be problematic uh but i will figure it out oh no i think i got one uh up that works with it but anywho uh they just dropped the ssl uh ev2 channel um waze 2 in real time has been around for forever it's my favorite pitch correction software for the very reason that it's the most flexible and it costs the least and now in if you remember on pluginboutique.com they have auto-tune access well now this plug-in does auto-tune or pitch correction and it does a very good job of it has a nice little distinctive taste to it um but uh waze the waves plug-in what makes that shine uh is a couple of things well one you could dictate where those can go now auto-tune axis can do that so i want to be fair to that oh my god this website is so slow right now i should have did that i should have did that uh but anyways while it's loading uh they do have a free new plug-in uh i have not covered it i i i'm not gonna tip my hand there but uh it's called o5 space oh that's hard now that's that's tough waves god damn goddamn goddamn damn goddamn ways [Music] yeah that's tough oh it don't look like it's going to reload either yo uh they've they got a lot of traffic on their site so that's why it's not loading so it's not like they busted anything they just they they shove advertisements and different things down your throat so that they and then that free plug-in but yeah that is pretty tough there oh there we go um but i do want to talk about a few things on waves that i would get i highly recommend checking out this right here which is the chris laura algae signature series versus buying the cla vocals by itself but i do recommend this plugin because you're about to see it in a few what i'm going to do here is load up a project so let's go ahead and load up a project that uses uh cla vocals uh something that won't get me uh copy striked because i have a lot of music out there i'm not copying copyright strike but uh uh a copyright claim you know those are quite annoying look up azura suzuki sparta remix is so good i will not uh i will not i will not catch me on sunday player but anyways i'm loading up the project now uh as you can imagine oof that cpu though yeesh um what what what all do i have in here okay i got waze tune anything on that end uh let's start a master domestic volume by 6db so let's go ahead and do that and uh we got this project open so uh here is waves tune real time uh this is my vocal chain for anybody that needs like that extra assistance with their vocals um and my and this right here is my new minimal uh vocal chain especially for like tracking out records and then just not overly affecting it where if another engineer has to touch it up that means that they will have to go all the way out the way and strip it down and start from scratch um you know this is a typical setup for your multi-platinum record believe it or not this right here and uh if anybody want to argue that uh well i got tons of videos just look up lou diaz uh no look up leslie breathley leslie brathwaite has work from uh with people from little uzi vert for you young heads and then for people in my age range he has worked with michael jackson he's worked with cher uh let me go let me go down the list here did acon say michael jackson he's worked with jork jork he's worked with man i'm trying to call recall like his whole entire anyways huge influence to the way i engineer all the way as far as in his philosophies as far as working because you shouldn't overwork yourself and the brother a brother like him he got clout for days so anyways uh what i'm gonna do here is stop the music and uh we'll play this record go go from the top so uh don't mind me and if you hear any of that stuff in the background let's go top here [Music] there's [Music] [Applause] [Music] can't be getting so comfortable that's the hook [Music] [Applause] [Music] now i have full videos on cla vocals i've done far too many but uh just uh the way i work and when i track out vocals or whatnot is that i don't waste cpu even if you look at the top right part of my screen right now you can see that my cpu is bubbling now and you know this is a full song so how many groups do i have i have a hook group i have amber's verse i have jaya's verse uh and you know these are very important it's important to group your vocals by the way because then you get to use and process vocals evenly so that you don't have all this extra loudness uh and then you make the main reason why it's just to save cpu uh and this kind of workflow works very well on my macbook air m1 too so when i translate stuff over to this laptop thank you for the soup anyways oh dang but yeah so when things get translated over or whatnot it's pretty easy to to get a decent workflow out of it and that's the main reason why i like cla vocals again i think a lot of plug-in companies need to focus on making vocal chains like these uh isotope ra has knocked it out the park with that so yeah i just want to show that i'm not cap that i when i when i pitch stuff when i pitched up to you guys it's not because i'm trying to get a dollar out of you now it's about supporting and you know if you do click on a link you know it's earned by all the knowledge that i poured and stolen from the masters you know i'm saying and you know being a good student you get to be in the doors with the masters so and it happens to be that masters use simple stuff and it makes sense because these tools work and that's all i want to say about that janae but uh yeah so we we've heard enough there um yeah i recommend cla vocals um i think the best thing to do if you're gonna buy stuff from waves is not to buy the plugins individually buy the bundles please uh the seat the ssl 4000 collection let's see what that has in it now if the website doesn't crash or whatever hopefully not uh there's a lot of people shopping on here and it's a pain in the ass to try to shop on waves where's adios website around this time of the year because it's so much traffic yeesh and it's taking forever to load so i'm assuming that it's not uh yeah so this is what's in the cache so we have to deal with that uh i'm waiting for the cachet to uh refresh yourself uh what's going on d brave good to see you good to see you good to see you um i think that's that's good enough for waze man um but yeah buy bundles uh i recommend the renaissance bundle because that has rvox in there and it has all the other classic renaissance plugins except they have their new ui so that is a good thing for you if you are not into tiny uis uh i guess you do have to buy the waste in real time as a single plug-in but it's 30 bucks right now if we round up 29 and then last but not least get the cla signature bundle that has all the cla plugins i recommend it don't play no games with yourself all right so what i'm gonna do here is this uh i'm gonna close this project because it's dragging my uh frames go figure uh no i don't want here we go all right close that up and then we'll get back to uh the website uh so this is another tool i will have something uh coming up in uh ableton live right here this is a really cool tool uh that i haven't done a video for but i've talked to audio modern shout out to audio modern because they will be supporting this channel all through the holiday season and i greatly appreciate them along with many different other software companies this year and i greatly appreciate you guys um and it's a pretty good one right here so let's go uh the first thing they have a bundle and the bundle isn't that expensive they have ios plugins by the way so that all the plugins that they have on windows and macbook they have for ios so audio modern audio miner audio modern uh i don't i know i say stuff wrong uh playbeat they just updated play beat to three they added a whole bunch of different things that i need to talk about in a separate video chord jam i do have a play beat review by the way guys so all you have to do is just go to my click on administrator my pfp fi my pfp avatar or whatever and then go to my channel and then type in playbeat and you'll find it but courtjam i have not done a video on that because i have been stuck trying to figure out different ways to talk about it because it's so much to talk about uh but i will give you a preview of what's what's to come of that uh i have some pretty decent stuff here that needs to be looted where is that project stacks there we go stacks is a pretty good uh uh expansion by native instruments but uh what audio mod i mean not audio mode what core gem is is a core generator so it's kind of like scalar two but with its own style so it's in the same genre but it has its own usability uh versus like scalar two so that was my thing it's like man i already have scalar too so what does this do different and then i got blessed so what i'm going to do is just play this project here it's loaded and i'm going to kill this music boom and we're going to get into the play so hopefully let's see make sure that the volume is down to everything [Music] let me go here to layout [Music] session [Music] [Music] could you look up azura suzuki sparta remix and watch them uh and that will be a no sir uh i will do that on sunday you can holla at me sunday and i will do that for you but this is not the stream to do that i greatly appreciate the donor but uh right in front of us right now is court jam and again like i was saying like court jam is a core generator uh but with a very fancy twist so so what i need to do first is go over here to the court jam track and i need to make sure that it's on the court jam track so let's go and uh get off that and let's select track number one and let's go let's get out of the session view note view uh and yeah there we go so right now doing nothing and i'm gonna make sure that i have it on a track so you got to route this thing so when you write this thing make sure that you select a sound boom core jam and then select core jam again so now and i just have to arm it that way and now i simply can just play the same notes that i had and if you're wondering what i have and what sound that is that is sounds made by a company that we're going to talk about in a little bit which is native instruments but this is the contact play series this is made by these brothers right here which is mx6 audio shout out to them i really do appreciate these guys and all the things that they have done for the music community really dope i've talked about them a bajillion times and y'all will know more about them soon um so stacks is pretty good again i will check it out because uh native instruments has a good sale right now and we'll talk about that in a second uh but court jam really good tool for so you won't know what's going on so what you have is basically if you have a midi controller or if you like to draw in stuff i just have a mini controller and you're not good at playing chords well guess what you can play chords just simple as that and to show you that i will bring this camera now hopefully it will not uh i will not f anything up but i will use this view right here i'm using one finger [Music] and all you have to do is play the white keys by the way now you have five voices that you can dictate so if i wanted to dictate a voice and drop one down a semitone you just go over here in the voices section which by the way uh [Music] see i can [Music] and you can turn off voices too or you can randomize them which i'm not well yeah i can randomize it it won't hurt it [Music] now this doesn't seem like a really big deal until you start messing with things like inversions uh and then you can change you can do this let's talk let's get into that so there is a key feature that makes this extremely different than any other core generator on the market and it is called randomization mode now if i click on these two arrows right over here i get something different i get different inversions so i'm playing the same key which comes in handy for what [Music] if i was playing like like the c minor knife which again which most people always say that these music theory chord generator plug-ins do not teach you music there yes they do um i wouldn't know that was a c minor knife and a darn show wouldn't know how to play the inversions unless i've been playing the piano for a very long time or studying music for a very long time i have studied music for a long time but it is so much in the knowledge tree of music and this kind of is a quick shortcut i know people don't like that but that is a great thing about like these tools here you have no reason not to be good at playing music so if you all you have to really worry about is playing this in rhythm that's all so if i was just to play [Music] and then next time watch it change [Music] it changed bruh you can't ask for a better plug-in when it comes to this and i haven't even talked about the whole entire thing that that makes core jam really good and that's why audio modern should not be slipped on as a company that makes plugins now i've talked about that what if i want to get rid of like negative four inversions or plus three inversions and then i want to just keep it you know just like that but it will still randomize but it will randomize in more of a dictative style [Music] now i'm gonna play that again did change up changed up [Music] uh this is court jam uh but yeah so this is a very useful tool if you you already hear where i'm where where i'm going with this you can make sample packs easily using this tool alone and again just like we was talking about this randomization feature it's in different parts let's see so i could turn on the randomization feature and have like c c sharps c or or d flat you know what i'm saying let's so let's go ahead and do that right now and look look look look at what what what happens it's gonna be kind of nutty uh because i'm going to a c to c sharp bruh do you not see where i'm coming from [Music] now you have new progressions what's going on jason shannon what's going on sunny j what's going on d brave i already said it sounds a little off tuned like arcade uh yeah yeah it's uh mxx audio makes sounds for output by the way now seeing that i know some things about music theory so a c i would want to go to a c to a d and an a and a g you can do an f and the e of course and if you're really feeling froggy you can put a b in there you know what i'm saying so [Music] yeah so and there's other hidden features too like you can drag in midi files that already exist like if you have the midi files remember when i was talking about melodyne and taking audio from like jazz records and then sliding it or i was taking stuff from melodyne using midi file making midi files out of those those particular jazz songs p the pns like that illinois monk and make it into midi files you can drag that in there you can drag uh like different audio in there uh you know i'll get into that in a second but uh what we're gonna do here is turn that off i'm gonna go back into a c minor so you have your scale types here are the different scales and yes you can by the way so if i wanted to do i don't know let's do minor harmonic minor and let's turn all these off let me see if i can drag it down that'd be cool but no you got to go all together do the work uh let's get the hindu in there hindu scale or actually take i'll take that out but yeah you have all these different scales that you can pick through and remember uh japanese i do japanese uh and now you can start writing music as if you like if you really know what you're doing hold on i gotta type in my boo thing real quick oh hold on that's wifey [Music] all right my bad guys you know you know i said you know what i'm saying you know what i'm saying oh here we go again all right so what was i i was talking about uh picking out scales to be played in randomization uh yeah fridgey and lydian i'm gonna turn all this off i should do minor into dorian uh that would make sense right uh let's take care let's get out the um the hungarian uh gypsy but i will do japanese uh-huh so now i can go through random scales here [Music] bruh are y'all not hearing me on this plugin when i found out all how this plugin worked this was like holy like you know if people actually get the gist of this there are they they're gonna be in they're gonna be going nuts they're gonna go nuts uh let's see i didn't like the harmonic minor in there i did like the japanese in there uh so yeah and this kind of workflow works into different things like you you have like major sixth seventh ninth minor scale minor knife mind minor and major sevens uh and then and you can select which ones you want there of course you want to be mindful of what you select because i'm going to let you hear it oh oh oh oh [Music] wow [Music] oh my god and i'm saving that preset hold up hold up i'm saving that oh bro i know how to save the presets where is it where is it no i need to save it i need to save it oh no no oh no i know that's a save session uh live stream same session all right now i'm gonna make sure if i could load it uh no where did it save then oh wow that now that's a that's a caveat uh live stream oh i almost save it in my documents i just save it in my documents for now okay cool um let's see if i can recall everything that i did uh so what i'm gonna do is open up another court jam so let's go ahead and do that but yeah you you're starting to see the point of why i get hype about certain plugins and it's not like cap it's just the way that you explore your plugins that makes it extremely strong uh in court jam you know uh to make the way i would approach court jam at least is let me go ahead and uh i'm gonna see if it'll save it's record jam i'm gonna delete it i'll i deleted that one let's delete this court jam and type in core jam in the plugins or jam she sharp major you just want to see what it'd be about huh yeah doc yeah all right hold on now i'm gonna see if i can uh load it back up pencil uh let's uh load it uh it's in here just had to go over here live stream uh and let's see if it loaded up the the session oh that don't look like this the same or is it let's see uh it's only one no it's not damn it man damn it man damn it man that makes me want to move on but yeah a really good plug-in i i i'm like one of those people that uh when it comes to these type of plug-ins oh my bad my bad guys my bad i would give it a shot but you know it is what it is um yeah so let me get these cameras right but yeah seymour what's good that's on ozone ozone is incredible there's no reason for me to even show you uh outside of the video that i'm gonna do uh try clicking on the name of the preset clicking on the name of the presets what do you mean name of the preset oh oh i see oh oh oh michael heath you saved the game [Music] yo let's uh you can do arps too by the way uh let's turn arps on somehow uh random arps you could do uh randomized arps too by the way uh let's see let's turn that on oh let's go random up down down up all [Music] uh maybe it's oh because all right i might be doing the wrong thing here give me a second here move that over all right and i gotta route this one huh or jam uh the second one okay [Music] all right so now i have it uh routed to arps [Music] so if you want to build like a different progressions and have different ways that it's playing the scale [Music] uh you can change the the speed of the arcs or get rid of it uh so when in randomization it makes sense i like the 16 uh triplets in the time signature all right let's get rid of some get rid of some more i don't know maybe not that 16. so this natural [Music] wow okay now i really get the gist of this uh and then you can do swing [Music] so you can get real feeling out of it [Music] timing of course you can change it with this right here [Music] dude there's not enough man this is his own piece of work right here yeah this is serious uh trivia you see i'm not playing like there's there's certain things where i don't even like doing reviews on uh please review nexus 4 for the memes what is what are we talking about here uh so what i'm you know what this person's being funny but i i highly doubt i don't know i didn't why would it be a nexus 4. next is florida means uh the only nexus four i see are unless you're talking about nexus three i have a whole ass review on that but anyways that was uh that was this right here it was core jam a court jam not to be slept on you have automatic melody creative midi sequencing with riffer i've done a review and done two reviews on those and playbeat which is another phenomenal one and i think i have to install playbeat3 let's see if i actually have playb3 on here but playb3 is meant for percussion uh let's just play beat but i don't know if that's play b3 and i don't know i can just load it up i'm not gonna save this project right now oh this is the old play beat uh the new play b looks totally different now uh yeah so i gotta update that still okay anywho uh that is uh that yeah so we can get back to the vibes here what else is uh what else is on the menu guys uh keep it coming and if you got questions ask them this is the now is the time to ask questions all right and get an answer immediately uh these plugins getting crazy uh yeah so i'm just making sure i just make sure the chat is still live stay with me now if you're live if you're alive in the chat hit up give me a one god damn oof but yeah we was just checking out uh audio monitor again links will be in the description box if you uh want to check them out uh what is their bundle though uh says cyber season sale 35 off use the coupon bf 2021 uh that's all plugins where's the suite uh i think i clicked on it so you can get all these plugins right here for a hundred dollars that's ridiculous uh michael he says uh dad's director asked the question uh i appreciate that heath what is uh what oh arps that's right uh greetings from london what is going on london where where oh greetings from london uh uh catching a first live stream too sorry if silly question can i ask you why you have a steinberg vst folder but are using ableton live did you used to have cubase um i don't i haven't had cubase for a long time but the reason why that is installed on there because i have steinberg plug-ins uh steinberg had a plug-in that i reviewed and they had one that was great for creating new drums it was called backbone and what is the other one let's go ahead and venture off to my uh channel real quick and we'll find out i type in steinberg i know i put that in the uh don't mind me pad shot 2 which is a one shot players probably it's probably the best one shot player on the market for what it does because it does grayler synthesis has layered arp creation you have layers like uh elektra x or elektra ii uh or omnisphere and you can just put in your own way uh wav files and just go at it uh backbone that's my review for that uh pretty decent uh well actually it's very good yeah you can't get any better than this you know what i'm saying so yeah i'm making sure that uh at first i was like oh crap uh what else we got on the menu so now let's talk about samples uh samples what what we got to talk about well one is drum brokers uh drum brokers might be something new to you guys but it's not new to me for anybody that does a lot of sample creation uh this is also gonna be the part where i do my mpc stuff i know my booth thing is coming through so uh ticking time bomb guys [Music] hey my girl is beautiful man shout out to my booth egg she always investigating me anyways uh drum broker really good website the the proper name is hiphopdrumsamples.com if you're trying to get something off of there i need to uh make that uh depiction in the description box for a little later but you know i gotta write these chapters out uh drum broker again uh they have some pretty cool stuff i'm gonna pick up this right here for sure the roland sp 404 flash drive it has 64 gigs on there 17 bucks uh the roland tr808 flash drive 17 uh and the sp 1200 uh flash drive so that's like you know tidbit stuff good stocking stuffers for music producer daddies out there you know i'm saying uh if you want to get gifts but great for musicians all together um mommies too because i know there's a lot of beat making women out there and i am proud of all y'all guys i've seen y'all make y'all come up this year doing videos i know 2021 was like one of those years like man i got to get out the house but i've seen a lot of y'all stick with it especially during 2020 you know there was a lot of people rachel uh what what's her name fighting something vine uh she she does a lot of live senses singing she's dope she's really dope like neon vines i believe she's extremely dope though um more unless on topic you see 50 off of everything uh so you know what what are some good samples on here that i can co-sign uh well for starters soul surplus i like that stuff you guys if you frequent with uh splice you know soul surplus has made them what they are to this very day uh soul surplus is one of the few good sample base creators on their platform as far as this type of samples so uh yeah and their packs are pretty uh expensive but if you apply that code bf 2021 you should get you should be able to get what you want out of them so you know let's go ahead and hear some samples from them i think that will help right so let's go ahead and hear that [Music] this is the astro mode pack [Music] oh yeah i already know rachel i mean uh rachel collier oh yeah i know rachel neon vines yeah yes absolutely yeah yeah sarah already knows what it is me and sarah peoples so i do apologize if i didn't mention that like that but yeah sole surplus definitely one of the people that you should check out if you're going to get you some sample packs uh of course we have our own sample packs we'll we'll cover that again i did housekeeping at the beginning of the video for a reason uh crabtree music oh uh one thing i will say as a caveat though is they don't give you uh much on terms of samples but he has over 200 200 loops in this one 63 melody loops and 51 one shots oh but then again that's why i recommend it soul surplus let's go ahead and go over here to crabtree music library another great of great conglomerate of people here and then you can check out their their licenses if they're not royalty free by the way but most of their licenses if you're wondering are pretty forgivable for people that don't have a lot of uh spins but if you get over a million plays on the normal of course you know they gonna want you to split that up you shouldn't so they have ma master clearance guaranteed over here uh and then you can see the license so you just click on there and you get the license and you read it so i do recommend doing that before your purchase but nonetheless uh let's go ahead and hear this 27 how many samples does it have in here samples include bpm key yeah well usually they have uh 10 samples and it'd be 10 samples for that price 30 so yeah think about that [Music] oh yeah yeah we'll get to that [Music] you are now listening to the crabtree music library available so yeah they have good samples they have composition composition and stems called 60 bucks so if you really want to get something from there uh and you know those are my recommendations for uh shout out to drum brokers by the way you know no we peoples i've been working with them for quite a while now i bought tons of sample packs from them in the past and you know i want to pay it forward and giving them a recommendation here i know i heard glaciers talking about stuff that we're our business wise yeah as far as what we're talking about as far as the website goes my website um yeah keep that in the email not in the chat but anyways yeah so you know i do have samples on my website of course uh we just put two new sample packs on here uh cmp's joint vices has 20 premium compositions as he writes in the description and then we also have sho shin which also has examples for you here and they're tough [Music] so that's on dj.mccree.net [Music] so uh yeah we do have those samples for you too now uh and now i have my joint right here [Music] i have to turn the volume down so i don't uh distort anything uh but anyways yeah good stuff good stuff good stuff for you guys to check out there uh so and that sample right here that's playing in the background on this beat because there's another group that i would tell you to check out but they have their own individual website and his mx audio mxx audio jesus uh sound design those are my peoples of course again no no uh cap on that they just loaded up on new merch uh the sample that you hear right now came out of cassettes and pedals uh their series uh you have consistent pedal seven eight uh drums out of the sp 404 number eight uh they're low-fi melodic series which i have all of their low-fi melodic stuff um they have new merch uh they're doing monochrome this year and i need to get to monochrome anyways uh they have ios apps too you know if you want to shop with them you can go to the ios store and get it they have probably the best uh ios apps on the market right now fly tape yeah so yeah i would check them out samples you know they have that but i do recommend if you're like me and you buy a whole bunch of samples all of the freaking time uh get a bundle here type in the code then you'll get it for a lower price of course uh you have brass sample bundles you have a cassette and pedal bundle which is 204 so you're gonna get a for fifty percent off it'll be a hundred and two dollars i think that's the best way to do that if you're gonna get a whole bunch uh the guitar samples are pretty damn good uh analog trap yeah it's okay uh the low five bundle what is that though uh low five melodics yeah that low five melodic series is six hundred and twenty four dollars that bundle holy crap but uh i'm gonna show you something i remember when i was talking about drum broker and you get 10 samples for 30 well this company right here the main reason why i stick with them is this right here uh they are very very transparent about their samples if you do try to place your sample tracks you produce something and it's like a commercial record because they just got a recent placement with her and it's already nominated for a grammy next year uh yeah so i would be conscious of that you know let them know what the business is on that but otherwise they work with people that make beat tapes and stuff like that they never have copyright claim my channel or anything and i greatly appreciate these guys for not being like other sample based people that do royalty free and then and then they uh copyright claim videos so yeah that's why i like uh msx audio they don't do that and uh neither do we need to do us we don't neither do i or neither do any of us over here at trap tendo so where is the damn it well i think it's snow but it tells you how many samples you get but usually it's around like 30 40 ish they keep it in the 30 40 range i think at most and that at a price of 24.99 which is a like a fairly decent price so if you're asking me if you're submitting samples i 20 it has to be 20 but uh 20 are better for for it to be worth it and i'm not gonna uh overcharge people uh and then they'd be unsatisfied with the samples that they got but the samples i've heard from everybody that's created stuff for the website have been amazing and uh stay tuned for the videos for that because i have plans for those uh let's see no or that oh 35 compositions say 35 compositions for 24.99 uh at least for a low five melodic 18 they did 50 for the first one so yeah it's actually 99 cents but if you can get it to 50 uh with a discount code it's a low-five guitar sample back by 99 cents what what are you talking about and math yeah yeah that's a direct yeah check those out man they're really good all right so you know i'm probably gonna go ahead and get this thing going here let's go ahead and uh i've talked for a long time ah damn i lost my damn plug here so i'm gonna go ahead and get my plug and in the meantime uh during that uh i will do this i will reset my mpc or uh oops oopsies oopsies i'm not looking at it by the way guys oopsies i need to work with my camera here because it is too bright or what the setting is there we go 15 000 time is the charm lo-fi jazz guitar what is it like one sample i will be right back guys momentarily i gotta grab something from the living room [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] all right guys i'm back my bad yeah let's go ahead and uh turn the music off we don't need that right we're gonna check out some samples so this is my new camera uh for this i'm not a huge fan of this camera by the way uh you can see by the brightness being way off let's go ahead and uh see if i can adjust the lighting it's a bit much see that is the beauty of using elgato products you can use them on your phone you can use them anywhere let's see brightness yeah that's too bright right around there that'll be okay i think the i the azio levels on this is uh let's see what the iso is is on here i'm going to go to my camera hub for those who want to know what i'm using here is this i'm using this right here i got the gato face cam not the best in the world in my opinion let's see automatic azio let's turn that off all right let's get uh the camera back in here let's go to seven all right let's build this thing back up shutter speed iso level is too low that looks much better that looks a whole lot better and it's smoother maybe uh no no that is awful so right around here shutter speed [Music] let's get uh let's go 64. oh no that's too too much i actually like the lower shutter speed here there we go well maybe 32 no that's what it was for let me set that one more time yeah i i'm i'm good with that okay let me say that my settings on my uh camera uh one thing i do like about the gotto though is this i like the fact that uh you can save your settings but the webcam in itself isn't uh no that much better than if you was to go with your iphone uh and matter of fact i recommend getting an iphone for a top-down camera versus uh legato face cam or if you can afford a dslr use a dslr but then you have to get it out of midi pro and that's six hundred dollars and yeah twelve hundred dollar setup it better work right okay so let's go in here [Music] oh that's a that's a no-go right there yeah [Music] [Applause] i want to hear that drum that drum kit boy okay so that's wrong it's pretty good [Music] uh you are now tuning into the sounds of pad thai if you are wondering by the way mp uh kai does have a black friday deal on their expansion so let's go over there proof of that [Music] yeah so you know they do have a deal right now so if you want to get expansions for the mpc now is the time for sure and i'll talk about it looks like they might know said 11 something but they do have deals on these let's go so mpc expansions let's go in there let's let's see how it goes see oh there we go there we go so there's expansions they gotta sell and i'm so glad that they got a sale they got beats too mpc beats but it's 50 off or it was i guess they changed it i don't know hopefully not because uh there was an expansion i wanted god damn you akai oh there it goes 50 off yeah i got to do something about that but anyways let's get back to it i think i like that um let's grab uh some samples so i just talked about soul surplus so i'm going to use soul surplus uh samples right here for this uh beat hopefully it will not uh make a make a app hopefully i will not make an ass for myself but even though i'm making them as myself just talking soul surplus where we at phantom phantasm phantasm i've used that use that [Music] definitely use that definitely chop the out of that [Applause] [Music] i grabbed something from there um let's get out of there oh it came with stems too i did not know that let's grab i'm going to organize my samples by the people soon soul food what we got in here [Music] oh yeah that came from soul surplus i use that sample on my sv [Music] definitely use that sample uh yeah i'm gonna use that sample right there so what i'm gonna do is go into me well let's go into main and then uh you might have made a mistake on that one but [Music] okay so that's that let's go and uh just make an empty program sample edit uh let's touch that up and grab the samples so they'll be on the surplus [Music] how's the video quality [Music] soul surplus come on now touch tone we can't beat i ain't gonna super snitch drones were dope made by marco polo marco polo drums i am pc game you already know the vibes where the hell's my ring at man hold up hold up hold up bruh hold up i gotta i gotta have the ring bruh hold up drop this mic put on all the jury on you all that [Applause] you over there ladies and gents i know i have that little buzz sound and i i apologize for that i found it this i found which found out which chord it was [Music] uh let's go into uh celsius c minor so that's one of the things about the new uh npcs and stuff like that is that they oh that looks kind of better now that i adjusted the yeah anyways [Music] uh no though i know i got you that uh dazzle that's a direct yeah so not so bad i had to do some adjustments to the webcam but uh yeah if you're wondering what type of webcam i'm using right up here uh it is the elgato face cam at 200.00 webcam ain't that a all right let's go on to processing here and we're going to uh pitch it down this way this is the way you should pitch down stuff pitch shifting uh i'm going to pitch it down negative three so it's on a different scale you do it it's gonna kind of change itself up what's going on jim ex gem ex i change the frame though or the shutter speed so the lights don't blink yeah it's either that or it'd be too bright though i'd much rather be uh like this than to because it's already running at 30 frames per second so it's not like it's gonna really kill anything so your shutter speed is supposed to be your shutter speed is supposed to be double of whatever frame rate that you're running on your camera so [Music] and that way it doesn't change the pitch [Music] see now we got a little bit of something different uh and i'm gonna go ahead and chop it up in bpm mode and i gotta make some adjustments to the start point of each part because it's popping so i will press shift and zero snap anytime i got a pop i'll adjust it i will adjust it using the uh the third or fourth i mean the second or third q-link so [Music] all right so we got something already here you know bpm chopping is the way i like to do it because uh one the mpc can calculate are your chops uh through the starting end points and the division so if you have the same division much like how it is on sp 404 which they got that idea from here well guess what you can convert them over and then you can use well the addition of this what makes this stronger than the sp404 is that you could do non-destructive slices versus destructive slices though the sp404 has its charm so i'm going to do that uh sp404 is my baby though the mark ii that is and yeah so they're gonna do some more adjustments uh samples and i wanna name that samples boop that sample track that is uh [Laughter] so [Laughter] [Laughter] yeah oh i forgot the the look at the sample itself let's go over here let's go to sample edit real quick and go back to uh uh it's a a minor now okay yeah so a minor and that is important because when i get to [Music] uh now i'm going to set my bpm of course let's get a count in there oh it's okay it's already good to go let's hit account it's a little fast i'll go to about 80 88 yeah that feels good turn off the quantize or time correction and let's go [Music] all right i messed up i did like that drumline but i gotta double the length i need a four bar loop [Music] oh [Music] yeah that's how i'm gonna do it three one [Music] no no no [Music] that's gonna [Music] oh [Music] so [Music] next track [Music] so you know the base is coming in [Music] i don't like that pesto so [Music] no no do it one more time okay all right right here [Music] you know what hold up i forgot one thing let's go ahead and uh because i don't want that bass to be clashing with my new drumline i mean new uh baseline so i'm gonna need uh take some of that out there we go there we go on that track boom [Music] no one more time do i'm gonna put the lo-fi in there i got some soul on this around gotta cook that lo-fi right though so whoa that's a volume yeah damn i wasn't gonna say this beat but now i'm definitely gonna say that god damn it this damn sound in my ear i think i messed something up my eye and unplugged some but uh whatever i gotta figure out i got to tomorrow to figure it out plug-in three what did i want in that plug-in or i was when i was looking through the those leads let's go with uh soft leads are they actually soft leads like with uh attack at the beginning [Music] all right let's try that uh i messed up on one part here so let's go ahead and i'm gonna mess with this damn piano roll because that's one of the things that people always talking about uh let's see uh there was a part where i came in early know right around here here so [Music] so [Music] turn that one sound up you're here it's going to be very it's not going to be a solo it's going to be very aggressive man in fact i'm gonna solo it and go and add a effect [Music] yeah i'm gonna add a a layered uh reverb on that so it has a better chance of having presence [Music] all right [Music] uh yeah i'm gonna save that beat i'm gonna call that a baptindo matter of fact first i'm going to purge all the unused samples so i don't need any of that crap and then i'm going to go over here and sample uh save it in my save projects or whatnot npcsa projects uh baptendo is always the vibes here right now so yeah so yeah got plenty of stuff to talk about man it is in his last days of 2021 there's a lot to be talked about a lot of questions people ask me about hardware that i like with the mpc i kind of saw that yesterday but you know uh the stream was a little rough as i clear my throat because it was that rough but other than that i found it to be a very entertaining stream for a lot of people because they had their questions they got to see some of the flaws of the mpc as far as the 20 as far as the 2.10 firmware and those are being worked out as we speak can the mpc beast app do the sequencing too i have a whole a whole old stream where i use the mpc live 2 with the mpc beat software yes you can use the mpc live 2 and sequence use it as a controller inside the mpc beast free software now if you don't have a mpc if you don't have an npc [Music] then i recommend uh uh that you get the uh if you don't have the mpc live 2 or money for the mpc live 2 1 or the x then you have the mpc studio which is pretty damn decent but it won't have the exact same functionality as the mpc live extra one so you get what you pay for you get what you pay for sadiq ali says is there a good black friday deal for mpc one live in the united states the answer is no unfortunately the only things that really dropped it there wasn't that many things that dropped in pricing gear matter of fact all most gear went up in price the only thing that went down in price in terms of gear that i saw was the novation circuit rhythm so and you can get pretty much the same kind of workflow out of it it's a it's not exactly mpc uh workflow like but there's nothing wrong with that because the price point of it is three hundred dollars if i'm talking about if you understand i'm talking about the novation circuit rhythm uh the cheapest mpc to get into is eight hundred dollars and that is the best price that you're probably going to get inside of the united states unless you get one in the aftermarket but as manu has recommended yes you can go to reverb and you can get some pretty good deals but yeah i can find that sound let me find that sound real quick [Music] [Music] alright so next beat i guess let's go in the main here that was a soul surplus sample let's go and see if we can make something with some mxx audio stuff so the first thing i'm going to do is just go into an empty project we're going to keep it boom bap for the sake uh why not and then we're gonna go in here and we're gonna select the sample first so uh i'm gonna go into my sd card folder or sd card that was the right thing the first time i guess and we're going to grab some stuff uh what i'm going to do is grab a few things so i'm going to go and grab let's go search through here mx66 slump percussion [Music] yeah that's pretty loud [Music] yeah i'm going to grab that sample real quick we're going to mess with a loop drum loop because i do have a video that's going to be pretty controversial coming out soon and there's no way that's going to avoid people because it is uh like a hotbed of a of an action here let's go into low fiber lodge 10. so this is low 5 miladis 10 dot guys i recommend getting that whole entire pack if you sample a lot [Music] i'll go with that that's good and that is a a flat major so yeah i know that because i'm old let's go back into the expansions let's go with uh we're going to go with sole provider which is the mpc expansion that's on sale right now for 50 off [Music] i might grab that out oh no damn this this has been happening a lot lately see that it just crashed yeesh luckily enough i have not started to beat so that's like uh let's go in here and [Music] let's grab that [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] okay uh now i gotta grab the sample again holy uh i will do one thing at a time i guess i know why it's doing that but it's crashing because of them oh no what the hell is that folder doing in there i'm going to my samples here and let's go in to low 5 melodic 10 again because i remember and it was the a there we go bright colors uh we're going to go into maine all right we'll go in here set the bpm to this i guess let's get a count all right uh now let's go into another track we're gonna name this track samples and we'll name the first track drums [Music] thank you for the sub what's up hey all right all right so we got that named off here i'm going to make sure i create a new program so it doesn't load into one of my existing programs i'm gonna go into here we got bright colors [Music] we're gonna snitch sample snitch on it we see the key is right here so that's one of the things that i like about it it has the key and we got some pretty good clean uh visuals there [Music] and as you can see it's very expressive samples so uh what i'm going to do is i might lower the pitch right here so i will process it uh let's go up two semi uh two semitones and let's hear it and then that way it won't stretch it any further it won't make it faster or slower and then we're going to detect the key and now it's a g minor so now we got that we can go and move forward and grab and do bpm chopping again [Music] all right you already see where i'm coming from with that i won't even worry about zero snapping or anything like that i should but you know i've done this process over a billion times too many tutorials for you guys to reference so uh going in here now i have it uh chopped up uh i will do myself a favor this time and grab a filter the high pass filter so i can get rid of all the lows that are in the sample that is a great way to create samples anyways to give people a choice if they want to roll with your baseline or not and then also you know you can inspire it i believe the uh the tracking itself if i go over here and i just make this the base track and then go and grab a base patch let's go into base base summer i kind of like that uh we'll we'll work with that a little later so but yeah [Music] all right let's turn off uh tc i don't need that for doing beats like that i will uh adjust this and turn up or increase the bars to four bars so i have something to play with so [Music] oh of course i haven't stood up [Music] yeah i figured i was a little fast [Music] so i turn off the metronome because i no longer need it [Music] and all right one two three four [Music] i'm gonna do that one more time [Music] so [Music] turn it down a little bit [Music] [Music] my [Music] you can transpose stuff up on here just like in any other daw [Music] i never get anything like bubbly [Music] let's raise that [Music] all right [Music] all right let me do that again three four [Music] all right lo-fi [Music] so [Music] hey native instruments ui is trash uh uh it depends on which ui you're talking to talking about though hey av if you go through and press play on the kids too fast it always crashes what sb nate sbn is that for real no that wasn't always the case that that's something that is new to 2.10 to the 2.10 firmware it's never just always did that for me casually i never use the npc i am a fl guy i still suck at it well give it a shot uh ryan patrick you gotta practice practice makes perfect these are the best expansions in your opinion by sbn resonate he said dark parallax definitive 90s r b and sole provider too not a bad list i'll give you that so but anyways that was a sample from mxxiadio.com [Music] so let me go ahead and do something here [Music] let's get uh the xy effect [Music] i don't know xy effects on here there you go touch effect i gotta see that is that gonna crash okay what the [Music] oh oh i see what you did there kai but we're gonna go here [Music] [Music] so [Music] all right isotope stutter uh my akai force my kai force crashes too i think it's the update it never crashed until 3.1 update one and only time and oh and one time the screen froze oh my goodness really uh chris said is that the strip yes that's the strip in software form but if you have the mpc studio that's the gear up says something my pc is trash so it might be that as well uh i don't know what you mean hit him with the tape stop all right hit him with the tape stop [Music] yeah anyways uh that's kind of gonna conclude everything from today uh i'm gonna go ahead and let the track run of course [Music] i didn't i gotta take one more thing i guess i'll check that on this track before i sit down to my fat ass down here thanks for the news baby all right so what i'm gonna do here is check the display show you how the plugins look like so yeah so that's how hype synth looks like on this new screen or our new uh what you call it baseline oh oh man fact i like that it gave me that warning so yeah good thing it gave me that warning let's see how that looks like on this yeah it's still hard to see that's unfortunate but anyways that's cool [Music] okay uh greatly appreciate everybody i think i might have to erase uh my yeah that's cool i'm gonna erase this at the darkness down a little low there we go all right so thank you all so much for joining in uh if y'all have any questions of course you know uh feel free to leave comments or if i didn't answer any of your questions or whatnot and you know i always get to it um momentarily as best as i can shout out to everybody that joined in i appreciate the the grandiose amount of people that came to this live stream josh carl whole bunch of stuff that uh native instruments has on on the table and they have it on table for a while so don't worry about it i got you but yeah appreciate it y'all have a great evening get good
