now there might be a few reasons why you'd want a helmet for airsoft head protection being the obvious one not only does it protect against beanie welt but from grenades that land on your head and the occasional running and tripping headfirst into hard cover don't ask me I've never done that helmets also offer a nice platform for flashlights action cams as well as night-vision optics if your Gucci like that now the problem with shopping for helmets online is that they look pretty similar so it's hard to decide which one to go with what's going on Vincent here coming at you from the land whose official phone number is 1-800-308-3515 495 Canadian they both feature full phone line protection as well as extra padding included the strap system is a bicycle helmet style strap system also included are plastic Clips which some people like to attach their goggles or their mesh mask to the chin strap is adjustable though the head sizing is not and these are only available in one size now I don't have a particularly big head I don't think but many other players along with me have had trouble fitting this helmet on I suspect it's designed for younger players after going through a thorough inspection and comparison of the two helmets I suspect that they come from the same factory now lancer does have the advantage in that there are a few more options they do offer the same basic helmet with a flip-down visor as well now to clarify this does not count as full seal I Pro and airsoft fields won't let you run them instead of bottles they might look good as a film prop though to clarify the product code Lancer helmet numbered CA 7 3 dot dot are the basic ones whereas the CA 7 for data are the visored ones they also offer both types in a custom dark earth color as well which might suit your loadout better moving on to Lancers higher tiered helmets is the CA 3 3 4 coming in at 87 95 available in black 10 as well as OD this can also be had in a black camo version for 2 bucks more at 89.95 now this is more than a 50% price bump from their basic line so let's see how this one measures up the first thing I notice is that the strap system is completely different this is more like a proper tactical helmet with a plastic harness that ratchets down to fit snugly around your head we carry only the size large but because of that adjustability we found that it fits most people the padding that they use is a big step up from their basic helmet especially at the front where you'll feel the most pressure the webbing that they use is a much tighter weave and it feels much more durable now the jaw strap doesn't loop under the chin like a bicycle strap but instead around the chin and this one is lined with a soft suede like material if you're running a heavier setup let's say an action cam or night-vision optics then the chinstrap carries a lot of that load so a comfortable one is crucial as a side note if you find that the helmets a little too front heavy take a look into counterweight options at the back of the helmet included accessories are some foam padding to fine-tune your fitment a bit of velcro for the outside of the helmet an insert for the front shroud and one included rail segment finally let's take a look at the new amp core pj helmet coming in at 5995 as far as sizing goes the 10 OD and black is only going to be available in size XL with the multicam version available in a regular size but the size XL isn't actually all that big and most people found that the regular size is actually too small on first inspection it's a very similar helmet to the Lancer 334 with a similar ratchet system chinstrap as well as angular vent holes a closer look reveals why the amp core is quite a bit more affordable the padding though not uncomfortable is not quite as plush as the Lancers as well the webbing isn't quite as durable and the ratchet system at the back doesn't turn quite as smooth over all the plastic hardware it feels to be a slightly lower grade shinier plastic and the overall helmet has a less dense sound to it when you knock it now the difference isn't huge but I do notice a difference this helmet does take the lead in terms of accessories though you get the same included padding shroud insert in rail as the Lancer there's quite a bit more velcro on the outside and you get ear clips along with two different size swivel clips with mounts this offers more options for rigging up an eye pro or mesh master so out of the four helmets today which one would I go with well even if they fit me which they don't the Vulcan a th and the Lancer basic fast helmet aren't not quite as comfortable as the other two and for longer Milsons the comfort is worth that extra price five bucks more than the basic helmet you can snag one of these em core pj helmets which i think is a seriously solid deal you get the same features as the more expensive lancer with more accessories to play with with a slight hit in quality now is the Lancer worth thirty bucks more I don't think it's gonna particularly last any longer but if you know that you're gonna use your helmet a lot I do think it's a slightly more comfortable better build helmet as a final note accessories like swivel Clips rail mounts and even spare parts can be bought separately and you can find those in the helmets section of our website that's it for today guys thanks for watching subscribe for more Canadian goodness and we'll catch an the next one
