[Music] [Music] [Music] hey friends in my last video we talked about the slow roll today i want to introduce you guys to what a hammerhead looks like camera head is basically a pull to vertical straight up wait till the air speed is down to zero we pivot on our own wingspan with the rudder back down straight vertical if you're from other parts of the world they call it a stalker here in the united states we call it a hammerhead so come along for a ride here we are about 3000 feet 180 knots gonna go into us nice and slowly i'm going to start by looking over the nose pulling vertical as we can't see the horizon anymore i look at the left wing i establish a vertical line i'm sitting here now just holding the airplane vertical a little bit of right rudder at the top and right here when the speed's done left rudder a little right aileron forward stick i neutralize now i'm looking at the ground straight out let the airplane build some speed and pull it out and combat some of the positive g's there we go that's a 5g entry into a nice beautiful plain old hammerhead [Applause] and here we are we'll do the hammerhead one more time again pulling the vertical looking over the nose looking at the left wing establishing a vertical line making sure the airplane is square going straight up at the very top i start to give a little bit of right rudder and now here the pivot left rudder full right aileron neutral forward stick setting my vertical down line just like on my upline and recovering [Applause] if you've never done a hammerhead before to me that's one of the most fun exhilarating maneuvers because the airplane's going straight up and straight down [Applause] okay everybody so now let's do this maneuver like you see it in an air show fly or in an airbag competition now we're doing 200 knots i'm going to do a big pull the vertical here we go [Applause] setting the vertical we'll do a snap roll up to the right here we go [Music] setting the line waiting for the pivot here we go left runner right aileron stick now looking straight at the ground about 110 knots on the snap roll and down we go that's a little different there's a 10 g pull up and a snip roll going up and then the uh nice old snap roll coming down that worked out really well well the hammerhead is an awesome maneuver you guys should try it again visit paddy wagstaff's videos along with sporties and uh make sure you look at the internationalarabataclub.org see on the next iac.org [Music] [Music] you
