After Jesus Revolution: What Happened To My Mother?

if you've seen the Jesus Revolution film you've seen the amazing actress Kimberly Williams Paisley play the role of my mother Charlene this is what my mom actually looked like this photo was taken in the 50s as you can see my mother was a dead ringer for Marilyn Monroe and he was here with that little boy well that little boy is me a perplexed look on my face not looking very comfortable I'm wearing jeans I'm still wearing jeans my gut's hanging out that's still kind of the case as well but uh here's the point is I was living with my grandparents when this photo was taken because my mother was out living her crazy party life so you may wonder if you've seen the film what happened to Charlene well the fact is she did come to the Lord but it was toward the end of her life we had a very important conversation my mom recommitted her life to Christ she was raised in a Christian home she was in a home with my grandparents and they went to church Sunday morning Sunday night and Wednesday night they had missionaries over at their house all the time for lunch my mom heard the gospel but when she was a young girl she wanted to go out and live her own life she eloped when she was very young married a guy divorced them got married again divorced I had a one night fling in Long Beach with some dude she met and voila I was conceived yes I was conceived out of wedlock and my mother went on to marry ultimately seven times She chased after all of the empty promises of this world and sadly saw the emptiness of all of it but thankfully she came back to her faith and returned to it one month before she entered eternity so you may wonder whatever happened to Charlene she did become a Believer ultimately which just shows There's Hope for anyone no matter what you've done no matter what mistakes you've made no matter what sins you've committed we serve a god of Second Chances and third chances and fourth chances and many more to come
