where we reach up in worship reach out in love and reach down in compassion we hope you have a blessed sunday we want to welcome you to the service we hope the spirit of the lord welcomes you now we will go down to the sanctuary where the service has begun worship god amen and give him praise amen we're going to do that while still social distance and so we're glad the way everybody is spread out amen that's that's good amen praise god clustered in families amen but we thank god that the presence of the lord is here this morning how many believe the presence of the lord is here this morning praise god amen how do you believe god is here to bless this morning amen come on you believe god is here to bless amen hallelujah amen so you have been missed amen pastor has missed you amen praise god be these sundays we worship to empty space amen and then gradually people have been coming amen and so we got we thank god for those who have come faithfully we thank god for sunday school this morning amen and for god allowing us to amen be able to be in sunday school and so we thank god for our teachers our superintendent amen our teachers our students and who are out and our students still who are viewing online so we're going to enjoy the presence of the lord amen our service is still not like it used to be amen because we can't have a long service this morning amen uh because of the safety but we can have a good service amen and we're gonna have a wonderful service because the presence of the lord is here so let's open up our heart to worship god amen let's let's join together amen you can't sing as exuberantly as you want to but worship along with amen you can clap your hands amen you can raise your arms and worship you could you can sing behind the mask amen remember let's honor each other let's love on each other amen by respecting the distance and all that stuff but we're gonna have a wonderful time in the lord amen we're gonna have a wonderful time in the lord i'm i'm grateful for the goodness of the lord we are alive today i mean there are many people who started this journey amen with us uh in march of 2020 amen that are not here this morning amen so the fact that we're here amen this morning to give god praise amen we ought to just give god praise amen praise god because the bible says the living the living delivered hallelujah only the living shall praise him amen so the fact that we're alive and well this morning we ought to give god praise and thanksgiving so let's open up our hearts and let's begin to worship may god bless you amen and then after worship amen minister daniel amen will come and he'll lead us in prayer praise the lord amen praise the lord everybody let everything that have breath wave your hands let everything that have breath give him a clap of praise for he's worthy to be praised from the rising of the sun until the setting down of the same we give god all praise amen the pandemic has forced us now to worship not just not with our voice but with our body so this morning i command my hands to praise the lord i command my feet to praise the lord i command my body to praise the lord for he's worthy to be praised amen this first song simply says our god how awesome and amazing our god is and if you know it you can wave you can clap hallelujah and just worship with us as we lift the good hallelujah to be back in the house of the lord i hope you're glad to be back in the house i'm glad to be back in the house of the lord amen this morning praise god so it's so wonderful to see you amen and we just pray for the presence of god amen to bless our hearts this morning amen as to continue to bless our hearts as he has amen praise god we're gonna open up our bibles amen for a little while amen to genesis the eighth chapter amen genesis the eighth chapter amen we're gonna begin with um actually the last verse of the of the seventh chapter amen praise god as you get that amen we do want to remember this week in our city and our country amen as we stand in remembrance amen uh it's been 20 years amen since uh 9 11 uh took place the the terrorist attack on our city and on our nation praise god and so this morning amen we don't want to lest we forget amen it's good not to forget amen so we want to remember uh those families amen and even the people here and we have many of our members that are here that are not here this morning but who went through that horrific day amen and it's 20 years later amen and our city has been changed by that event our country has been changed and but we still are here amen because we stood amen praise the lord and uh 20 years from now our children will be remembering what happened in march of 2020 amen and we want to have the same testimony praise god that we stood amen praise god up this morning amen let us read amen let us get into the word of god amen i'm beginning with verse 24 amen hallelujah and the bible says and the waters prevailed upon the earth 150 days and god remembered noah in every living thing and all the cattle that was with him in the ark and god made a win to pass over the earth and the waters assuaged amen the waters assuaged the fountains also of the deep and the windows of the earth were stopped and the rain from heaven were restrained amen and the waters returned from off the earth continually and after the end of 150 days the waters were abated and the ark rested in the seventh month on the 17th day of the month upon the mounts mountain of ararat and the waters decreased continually until the tenth month and in the tenth month on the first day of the month were the tops of the mountain scene and it came to pass at the end of 40 days that noah opened the window of the ark which he had made and he sent forth a raven which went forth to and fro until the waters were dried up from off the earth and he sent forth a dove from him to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground but the dove found no rest for the soles of her feet she returned unto him into the ark for the waters were on the face of the whole earth then he put forth his hand and took her and pulled her in unto him into the ark and he stayed yet another seven days and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark and the dove came into him in the evening and low in her mouth was an olive leaf plucked off so no one knew that the waters were abated from off the earth and he stayed yet another seven days and sent forth to dove which return not again unto him anymore praise the lord amen for a few minutes today and next week actually i want to talk about amen noah for a little while so our topic for the day is the storm is over amen praise god somebody give praise god praise amen if that uh just that alone blesses your heart amen to acknowledge amen that the storm is over amen i will tell you to turn to your neighbor but amen the waters haven't abated that much amen praise god but amen pastor said this morning amen that the storm is over praise god amen a few uh a few just uh uh over a year ago amen we were here in this space and the last sermon we preached when everyone was still able to be here came from noah amen when we uh preached to the saints of god that it was important that we get into the ark of safety praise god amen that that there are these times in the life of not just the believers this this noah story amen like jesus will later tell us uh that the that the coming of the lord the the days of the coming lord will be like the days of noah amen praise god amen that that before that day comes amen people were eating and drinking and giving in marriage and amen they were about their business praise god amen praise god and so the the that what happened to noah and his family did not just happen to noah and his family but it happened to the larger world what is taking place over the last 18 months has not just happened to us as believers but it's happened amen to the entire world what we are grateful for praise god is that in the time of trouble hallelujah that as believers as children and women of god as children of god men and women boys and girls praise god what we are certain of is that in the time of trouble hallelujah god promises to be our refuge in our strength glory to god he promises in the word that god that that god is in fact he is the refuge and strength he is the ark of safety he is our uh a safe place praise god amen and so when when the storm came around the time of noah amen god made a way god always makes a way we're here this morning because god makes the way okay hallelujah i'll say that one more time we are standing here this morning amen in our right mind hallelujah able to worship the lord this morning because god makes a way amen he makes a way of the escape for the people of god amen and so we call that here in the story of noah and we call that amen in the in the story of moses and we call that for the people of god an ark of salvation amen what we know about the ark amen we learn amen a lot about the ark of safety amen we learn that when we face threatening times and challenging circumstances god does not leave us alone he promises in his word from the book of deuteronomies all the way to the time jesus shares it with his disciples that he will never leave us neither will he forsake us we give god praise and glory this morning because truly we serve a god who is faithful to be with us in the storm glory to god so he provides a way of escape he provided an ark he gave noah the designs for an ark and noah built the ark according to the design amen we believe that when joshua was putting moses in the nile river and then she god gave her the inspiration of how to to pitch it within and without and to make a safe place for moses amen to go through the knowledge so whenever we are in trouble as the people of god god makes a way of escape but what we do know about the ark as well amen is it is temporary glory to god amen the ark is temporary amen we are not made to live in the ark amen the ark amen for one reason of the the ark is there for one reason and one reason alone the ark is there for my survival praise god is there to keep me alive glory to god amen praise god it is not there for my growth amen noah and his family didn't go into the ark so that they can grow and live there forever amen they were there for one reason that god wanted them to survive the storm praise god amen they weren't in the ark there amen for their comfort or their enjoyment praise god amen they were there for one reason and one reason alone to survive the storm glory to god they were not there for the beauty of the ark and the aesthetic pleasures of the ark amen they make wreck because of the ark today of noah's ark and if you would go into those replicas it looks like it was a comfortable space but these the ark is never made for my comfort the ark is made for my survival praise god and the bible says that it rained for 40 days and for 40 nights and even if after it rained for 40 days and 40 nights the bible also says that the floodgates of the earth opened up amen and and they were there for 40 days and 40 nights we recently went through that little bitty storm it was a big storm for us but just a few weeks ago amen new york city and the new jersey area we were we were impacted by a storm that did not even last 24 hours it was a storm that lasted a little bit of most of the day and we saw what happened when we went through a storm we saw the danger of a storm we saw what could happen with just a little bit just three inches of rain and our subway systems were stopped just a little bit of rain and people drowned in their homes just a little bit of rain and it shook the city amen we were there amen our city was shaken amen by three inches of rain that that rain for for for a little bit of for almost a day for 40 days and for 40 nights noah and his family and those animals on the ark endured the rain and endured the thunder and endured the darkness hallelujah but they were in a safe place amen because they followed the lord in the ark of safety glory to god for them it had to be a time of unease it had to be a time of of of darkness it had to be a time of ps ptsd it had to be a time of anxiety amen and just like we were scared and just like we were worried praise god we have the the truth of the word that the storm came but the storm does not last amen the storm comes but the storm will pass somebody i can't tell you the shouting but i'll shout for you amen the storm will pass glory to god and this too shall pass hallelujah some oh glory to god this too will pass this too hallelujah and sometimes the rain is over but we're still living in the flood waters of what used to happen i want to tell somebody the storm is over we're just sitting in the waters of what has taken place somebody needs to the reassurance amen amen that though i believe that we we we're going to live covert ain't going nowhere amen it's not going nowhere it's come it's here for it's here for a while just like measles and like just like mumps and just like rubella and just like smallpox all those things if we're not careful even if we don't do what we're supposed to do those things are still there too sickness and disease and flu they're still here praise god but somehow as humans we are resilient amen by the power of god amen and we can survive and so but the rain is over praise god and i like what i like about the story amen what i wanted to encourage us to do this morning each and every one of us is to get the spirit of noah amen how many how many want the noah spirit i'm gonna tell you about the noah spirit this morning amen and then i'm gonna get out your way the noah spirit noah was safe in the ark the people that were outside the ark were there any people outside the ark no there was no one outside the ark everyone outside the heart had perished because of the rain and because they were not safe amen and the world outside the ark was still a dangerous world the world outside the safety of god in the world outside us is still a world that is scary and unsafe amen but yet noah had a different spirit noah understood that his life wasn't in the ark but that his future was outside the ark and somebody needs to hear this this morning that our future amen is not amen being afraid of what's going on around us but our future is outside the ark of safety somebody said i can't stay here say it under your mouth say man you got to confess this you can't stay here hallelujah amen noah said i can't stay here i can't stay in the place of fear i can't stay here glory to god i can't stay amen where i can't grow amen i can't stay where i can't be who god has called me to be and god cannot give us his new promise if i stay in the ark god had promises for noah we'll talk about that next week god had to god wanted to renew some things through noah god was going to do his divine will through noah god had a vision for mankind and it was going to be established through noah god wants to do something with us church hallelujah god wants to do a new thing in us but it's not going to happen as long as we stay confined to the ark of safety so noah said i got to get on with this life of mine amen and so it was safe on the inside but noah wanted to be on the outside amen i don't know if you watching the world around us but the world around us wants to get outside glory to god they want to get back to school and they're getting back to the ball game y'all notice that they go watch the some so today wherever the giants are playing i don't know if they're playing here they playing and um who they playing today praise god they're playing somebody but you know that stadium is going to be full the stadiums are full the arenas are full they're trying to fill up the schools the schools are they putting people in the schools and because the world wants to move on and they want to move on without purpose they want to move on with their business amen and so as the people of god we have a purpose amen that is god and god and is divinely driven and divinely purpose and so i must be like noah and i must say lord amen first thing we want to say is lord remember us first thing the bible tells us is that when the storm was over amen the first thing we are told is that god remembered noah and his family he put them in the ark of safety praise god and and as long as they were there they would have been safe but amen in order for us to live out the purpose for which god has given us i need the lord to remember me lord i i know you've placed me here and i know i'm safe in this space but lord i'm not meant to stay here lord remember me remember that you created me for a purpose that remember that you created me amen with a vision in mind lord remember me this morning i want the saints to know amen that we are not forgotten of god amen sometimes to be forgotten means that it feels like god doesn't have a future for us praise god it means that i feel like god wants us to just stop living the christian life or stop living the life he has given us but but god is letting us know he has not forgotten you he has not forgotten your purpose he has not forgotten your family he has not forgotten your safety he has not forgotten your economics he has not forgotten that you desire to be married he did not forgot that you desire to have a family he did not forgot you desire to be saved and sanctified and filled with the holy ghost he has not forgotten his plan for your life he still has a plan for you and the bible says that he remembered did he forget them no but but but what it means is that noah began to see god move on his behalf and when we see god move on our behalf it means i realize god has not forgotten me glory to god hallelujah do you see him moving on your behalf hallelujah hasn't even opening doors for us glory to god amen hasn't he been healing us amen praise god we have amen a lot of times on the prayer call amen we are praying for things that amen we need prayer for we are praying for the things that worry us amen but i've i've taken up the habit amen to have a moment of gratitude and look at how god is moving in our lives god is moving for me hallelujah god is moving for you god is moving for us and it means that god has not forgotten about me and he's not forgotten about you so he remembered that he had eight souls glory to god waiting on him in the ark amen and it means that it's not over amen and we are here this morning because it's not over the next thing that encourages me about this text is um that the bible says the noah's spirit says lord i need to know what to do next and so we are not left amen in this situation without the presence of the lord leading us and guiding us every step of the way amen in this moment we live in before any other moment amen in our lives amen of those of us who are living today we need the presence of the lord to guide us the bible says when noah was ready to get out he didn't just open the door to the ark and walk out we can't do it that way somebody okay i can't tell you amen i'm excited to see you here this once i want you to talk to me but i know we got to keep our mask on but but i want you to hear this before we move we say lord show us how to move glory to god so the bible says noah opened the ark he opened the window to the ark and this is powerful because in this time moses amen uses these two birds and what moses is looking for from the two birds is not just for the birds to do what birds do but the birds are speaking for god praise god god is bearing witnesses so the first bird he sends out is the raving he opens the window amen to the ark and he sends out the raven and the raven flies out amen and the bible says the raven went to and fro and to and fro and never came back amen because the raven can live on what's dead praise god and so yeah let the world do what they do because the let the let the dead bury the dead amen glory to god but more than that amen so the raven flew to and fro but even if there's no land the raven was able to rest on dead bodies and feed on what was dead but more than that the raven leads us to the direction of land when he put the raven out amen and the raven wherever the raven goes amen that sets the direction for where i must go and as we open the windows amen to our ark of safety the first thing we want to know amen this morning in our hearts and our minds as lord show us what direction to go we need your direction lord in our church hallelujah we need your direction lord for our families glory to god before covered lord sometimes we did things without your direction god we we are in this place lord because the world tries to do things without your direction but but your man of god know it as i open up i'm not gonna start the next level of the journey lord without you showing me which direction to go so the lord used the raven and wherever the raven went that's where we need to go oh glory to god that's why they use the raven the raven points us in the direction amen when sailors will sail they would send the raven out and the raven always could see where the land was so lord show us where we need to go that's what we all should be praying this morning lord i i wanna get out lord i wanna start life lord i wanna get out of the situation but lord i won't do it until you show me somebody say show me in your heart show me what direction i need to go in my life i cannot live this life without your direction lord show me i need to know lord where you want me to go in this life because lord if you show me where to go my life will be blessed so show me where to go show us where to go and worship show us where to go aiming an evangelism show us where to go with our family show us show me where to go in my career show me where to go in my school show me where to go in my relationships lord in in this post-covet world lord as a church of god we are dedicated to going where you want us to go because the storm is over and i want to get out praise god the last thing that we see is after noah sent out the raven the bible says noah open the windows amen because he knew the raven wasn't coming back amen we got to know some things ain't coming back oh help me lord amen some things that we lost in the storm amen won't be coming back praise god but it was never meant to come back amen praise god and so noah amen although he may have been heartened by the fact that the raven did not come back amen we we settle in our spirits amen that some things that we used to do amen some things that we used to appreciate some things won't come back help me somebody i need y'all to hear that one more time amen some things don't come back praise god amen and so he opens up the window and now amen knowing the direction to go he opens up the window and he sends out the dove the bible says the dove goes what is the dove looking for what is the dove the dove that symbol of the holy spirit hallelujah the dove that the symbol of peace the the dove is looking for life the dove amen went around and he flew and he flew and he came back amen and when he come back amen the what he came back to tell noah's is that there's still no life beyond the the ark remain in me glory to god sometimes we do have to wait before we we may want to move amen but we must sometimes wait because god has not shown us signs of life praise god in this covet season in every area of our lives in which we want to re-engage in we must ask god is there life where you want me to where i want to go oh glory to god amen hallelujah that that's a deep word right there amen as we return to certain things certain relationships certain jobs certain activities whatever the things we used to do as we return and we come out of the ark amen send the dove of the holy spirit and ask the holy spirit lord is there still life in this thing i want to go back to oh yeah i'm not hearing that word amen let me repeat that again amen i want you to take a look at every aspect of your life glory to god everything you're involved in and everything you do every club you're a part of every every everything you're doing in your career every relationship everything that you're a part of and say holy spirit i open the window of my ark and before i re-engage into this life this postcode world lord i send your holy spirit and i want you to let me know lord is there life out there oh glory to god the dove came back because there was yet no sign of life he waited seven days praise god i don't know if he prayed during those seven days i don't know if he fasted during those seven days amen but he waited on the lord because they that wait upon the lord amen shall he shall renew their strength glory to god it's okay to wait hallelujah i want to get out but i'm going to wait on you lord hallelujah so he sent the dove out another day and the dove went out and the dove flew to and flow and the bible says on this time when the dove returned the dove had an olive olive branch glory god in its beak praise god amen the dove the dove the the sign of the holy spirit amen the dove of peace the dove amen came back to let amen noah know that life is beginning to be restored in the world praise god that yes there was flood and yes there was death and yes there was destruction but god has remembered us and life is being restored hallelujah we need to be heartened by that this morning that because we are alive we can trust god amen that as he leads us beyond this moment and believes us beyond this time life is being restored glory to god amen it's time amen to do like what he told the people of god in the book of jeremiah amen pray for the peace of the city amen pray amen begin to evangelize and begin to believe amen that life is renewed in god hallelujah praise god and so the dove came back with the olive branch of peace and with the old branch of purpose and with the olive branch of life amen while we are yet living amen there is life and opportunity in life praise god finally amen he sent the dove out one more day praise god he he said it's time he be and every time amen we send out a dove every time we send out a prayer every time we send forth something and it returns we ought to give god praise because god is working and god is moving all throughout this week hallelujah as we continue to pray and trust god as we leave this arc of safety that god has placed us in over these last few months let us begin to give god praise and give god worship hallelujah that's how the believer waits the believer waits in prayer the believer waits in praise the believer waits in worship hallelujah because as we wait in worship and as we wait in praise god is doing a new thing in us god the waters are receding hallelujah things are returning back to the way they were and i can trust that god is doing a new thing in me hallelujah so he waited seven more days and the bible says he sent out the dove one more time praise god when he sent out that dove the bible says the dove did not return meaning that the dove had found a resting place praise god it's time for us as believers amen to begin to look beyond the ark of safety amen but as we do that amen we do that in god hallelujah are you with me this morning where are where what are we returning to and where are we turning to well one of the places we want to return to amen is the house of god one of those things we return to are our jobs amen and let us not be fearful to return amen but let us do it in god's presence let us do in the understanding that as we look to god god is making things new when noah walked out that ark that day he opened up the ark amen and we're going to talk about this next week because even we need to close down but as we open up the ark amen we ought to open it up not expecting to see things as they were things will never be like they were but whatever amen we encounter as we open up the ark let us open it up with expectation are you excited about what's what what life is about to happen maybe not and that's all right but this word is to encourage you praise god particularly our young people that god is real and that the god that brought us through it he brought us to it he brought us through it don't leave without god let me say that again he brought us to it he brought us through it he brought us out of the ark he's bringing us out somebody shot he bringing me out in your heart hallelujah he's bringing us out and if he's bringing us out i have to be excited about what god is doing i gotta be excited i gotta look beyond what i went through and say if god brought me through it i thank god that whatever i encounter god is with me i'll say like i said friday god has not given us a spirit of fear church church god has not given us a spirit of fear when noah walked out that ark no it wouldn't didn't know if the ground was slippery if the ground was soft he didn't know what he was going to encounter because the world had been changed by the storm the world is always changed by the storm but the god who closed the door is the same god who opens the door and if he opens the door i can walk out of the door understanding that the god who closed the door he was with me when the door closed he not available not to be fearful we ought not be we ought to be careful but we ought not be fearful glory he has not given us a spirit of fear we can't let the world beat us in courage the world is walking in courage some of it is crazy but they're they walking in courage and they're telling people don't wait no somebody somebody was back they said why are you wearing a mask i'm gonna wear my mask cause i don't know what you got going on but but but but but they they are courageous and bold in their ignorance but they but we have something they don't have we have this presence of the lord we have the spirit of god to embolden us hallelujah amen and so he has not given me a spirit of fear he's given me the noah spirit the spirit of fear makes me timid the spirit of fear makes me back up the spirit of fear makes me scared to engage or do anything amen but god has not given us that spirit that comes from the devil for the and and he the the same enemy will give the world courage and make the and make the church scared and we'll go everywhere amen the same folk that's scared to come to church ain't scared to take the train i don't i don't understand that but if you can take the train if you could take the bus then you could come to church i'm sorry so god has not given me i don't know about you god has not given me a spirit of fear but of but of power in the face of fear i can still move in in the face of fear i can still operate in the face of fear i can still move in his power and his presence because he's giving me power that the the world the enemy the covet can't stop me just like you there have been times when i when i was overwhelmed by what was happening i'm still careful and i'm and i'm still i don't wanna i don't wanna get it i don't wanna get it but i have god with me shout it in your spirit i have god with me i got something the world don't have i'm getting i want to get out but i want to let you know i got god with me hallelujah he's with me hallelujah he's with me praise god no matter what takes place i will not be afraid i will not worry about what man can do to me and i ought not worry what covey could do to me i'm not being reckless in what i'm saying i'm saying no matter what happens amen god is with us so church let's get that noah spirit and let's particularly get the nose spirit for worship let's let's get the noah's spirit the noah's spirit is the spirit and lord i'm not meant to be here i gotta get out i gotta get out and be who you've called me to be i i'll wear my mask lord uh i'll wash my hands i'll keep people at a distance but that's okay i'll keep people uh at a physical distance but we can still worship together we can still love he's giving me power i'ma get out your way he's giving me love we do what we do because because something constrains us glory to god my love for the lord constrains me i i love him so much that i want to bear witness to his power i want to bear witness to the faith that i have on the inside amen i love him and i love you hallelujah and because i love you i'm wearing my mask hallelujah i'm coming out but i love you brother so i'm gonna wear what i'm gonna do what i gotta do and i'm gonna i'm gonna bump you in and not get too close but i but i'm
