BEING EVACUATED. IT'S BEEN A STRESSFUL FEW DAYS FOR RESIDENTS HERE IN COPPEROPOLIS AS THEY WONDERED WHAT HAPPENED TO THEIR PROPERTIES. CAL FIRE CREWS ARE STARTING TO GET A HANDLE ON THE ARROW FIRE. YOU CAN SEE A COUPLE ENGINES HERE, BUT THE FIRE HAS CAUSED A LOT OF DAMAGE. YOU CAN SEE JUST HOW MUCH CHARRED GRASS IS IN THIS AREA. SOME PEOPLE WHO EVACUATED THE AREA RETURNED HOME TODAY, SO BACK THERE IT GOT THAT CLOSE AND THEY STOPPED IT. KATHY PERRY SHOWS US THE BURN SCAR BEHIND HER HOUSE IN COPPEROPOLIS. SHE SAYS SHE WAS HOME WHEN THE FIRE STARTED AND SAW THE FLAMES INCH CLOSER AND CLOSER TO HER PROPERTY. ANXIOUS. WORRIED? YEAH. AND YOU NEVER. AND THEN WHEN I WENT IN TO PACK, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT'S ENOUGH AND WHAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY LIVE WITHOUT. AND WHAT, WHAT YOU REALLY WANT TO SAVE. AND THERE'S NEVER ENOUGH ROOM OR ENOUGH TIME FOR WHAT YOU WANT TO TAKE. I WAS WORRIED I WAS PACKED AND READY TO GO, BUT MY RETIRED FIREMAN WASN'T WORRIED. SO. SO I KIND OF TOOK MY CUES FROM HIM. BUT IF IT GOT WORSE, I WOULD HAVE GONE. THIS IS WHAT I DEEM AS IRREPLACEABLE. NOW THAT SOME EVACUATIONS HAVE BEEN LIFTED, THOSE WHO LEFT MADE THEIR WAY BACK TO TOWN. TODAY, ANGEL DUNCAN PACKED HER CAR FULL OF ITEMS, NAMELY FAMILY PICTURES, WHEN SHE EVACUATED MONDAY. DESPITE BEING HAPPY TO BE HOME, SHE STILL WORRIED. I'M KIND OF SCARED TO COME BACK HOME JUST YET, YOU KNOW, HOT SPOTS FLARE UP HIGH FOR RESIDENTS WHO HAVE RETURNED THE OLD CORNER SALOON ON MAIN STREET HAS OPENED ITS DOORS. EVEN WITH THE LIGHTS OFF AND THE FRIDGE IS RUNNING ON GENERATORS. INITIALLY WE WERE ONLY DOING FIRST RESPONDERS, BUT NOW WE'RE TRYING TO OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE HAS FOOD AND WATER AND WHATEVER THEY NEED. HONESTLY, I THINK EVERYONE JUST WANTS TO TRY TO HELP AND I THINK THIS IS THE BEST WAY WE CAN ALL HELP WITHOUT INTERFERE WITH WHAT THEY HAVE GOING ON OVER THERE. SO EVERYONE THAT'S HERE RIGHT NOW IS HERE HELPING, VOLUNTEERING. WE'VE GOT MOST OF OUR KITCHEN STAFF AND OUR BARTENDERS HERE HELPING OUT, BUT THE FIRE FIGHT IS ONGOING. RESIDENTS HOPE THAT FIRE CREWS ARE ABLE TO CONTINUE THE PROGRESS THEY'VE MADE SO FAR IN TACKLING THE ARROW FIRE. REPORTING IN CALAVERAS COUNTY, ORKO MANNA KCRA THREE NEWS AND CAL FIRE CREWS WENT AROUND THE FIRE LINE TO SEE THE DAMAGE FROM THE FIRE. THEY SAY AT THIS POINT, TWO STRUCTURES WERE DESTROYED AND TWO WERE DAMAGED. IT IS UNCLEAR IF
