with you guys we're here to celebrate ten seasons of adventure time it's amazing show games all over we've got lots of special surprise for you guys we've got more music obviously it'd be funny to bring this band on for one song in the 9:24 music so we got more music for you lots of special guests and memories to share so speaking of guests please help me to introduce our first three guests adam muto our show [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] what time is it [Music] welcome everybody thank you that's all we have for John sorry guys how's it going guys it's fantastic yeah happy to have you here thank you happy to be here so this is pretty crazy you guys just got an Emmy nomination yeah we wanted twice yeah to [Applause] begin a bragging show I've got coupons for Shake Shack so I wanted to talk to you guys about Adventure Time surprise surprise so this show kind of explore I mean it's about a boy and his best friend avoid his dog but it became so much more than that and it's resonated with so many people and I was wondering what what do you think it is about Adventure Time that has sort of yeah made it resonate made it such a cultural phenomena you know I think people love cartoons they do it hold on a minute um it's it's it's morning okay give me wink it up honestly people love cartoons there you know from 192 you know there's this there's there's some kind of cartoon programming for everyone and this show appeals to so many different generations of people that I think that's it have something for everyone yeah and I just think that really rings true with our show it has like just an awesome blend of like just amazing comedy mixed with real just deep character moments I think we do such a good job in our show really balance and getting kind of the full spectrum of emotions that you want you're watching a show having them feel like characters to atom an atom as mentioned earlier about you know just needs to be you know these these characters being real you know these having and Billington real emotions that you don't normally see you know in a cartoon so that that was something else yeah and the relationship between infinity I think his stay yeah yeah that's boy this dog that's a gimme that's a gimme and they don't seem to hate each other and that was the thing that cartoon characters at the time that Lisa felt like that was that was pretty common like it's very cynical or very sarcastic Finn Jake kind of kept this genuine friendship and I was important to Penn right he yeah hey baby characters yelling at each other so doesn't happen one and there's always that bunch of time it feels very there's you know there's like sort of a lovely cohesive elements all of the characters yeah so Jeremy and John you've now played these characters for ten seasons yeah so what do you guys have missed the most about playing these characters I think for me it's always like just the week-to-week in the booth being in and work on the show with the cat we got to work with on a weekly basis that's like just the most fun part of just being in it and you know you get to know these people so well over the years and it is like a little show family so that's that's what I always miss the most is just that because that's the most fun part of the whole process which is the camaraderie yeah the day of the week mature that everybody is there you know it becomes the set thing that you do Tuesday afternoon that's very like for nine years those Tuesday afternoons and I mean I'm just gonna I'm gonna miss how much aye aye Jake became a part of me [Music] I became a part of [ __ ] you know I'm gonna miss playing that character because it dawned on me after we finished the show at the last recording like I drew I was driving home and I all of a sudden burst into tears just like oh man it just it's just shocking that I realized how connected I was emotionally to Jake and I call my wife Lee crying driver jack but yeah I'm gonna I'm gonna miss that speaking of the booth and the connection the booth are there any particular moments in the booth that you remember funny moments that you'd like to share the audience should meet you know yeah I wanna know you guys messed up there's like your line yeah there's a lot I think this one doesn't even really involve me that's it but my favorite is definitely one where we had that was yeah our our director was trying to tell me he played Billy you know and our director was trying to get him to sing and it's like raw like can't he can't sing he didn't even just going who's game and Lewis is like more like [Music] I've got to give it to Luo man that's hardcore and put himself on the spot if he was wrong but it was right but it was right we learned late time we learned a lesson from that episode yes adapt the part to cast the certain person yes exactly and if john dimaggio is looking at you through the glass like this then maybe yeah that's less funny than the embarrassing well speaking of singing we have to stand I don't name a thing upon you venture in the boys I like that but but we have entered the contest like we have a multiple gender fans so I wasn't really work but we're gonna force you to think is what I'm saying so you're not so Jeremy I think I think the crowd would riot if we didn't get a little bit of punching bugs out of you you don't even make the burger maybe they give me a shake in my fanny I can shake up my camp and let that true then maybe I can bunch of your bird watching your birds I can patch on your world if you're an evil witch I will punch in the water [Applause] great singer obviously I've heard you so you can have many times I think that was the best time you know what I've caught myself doing that over the years I don't think it does anything but if some reason it makes me control is this treble that was beautiful thank Jeremy thank you John I'm gonna loop you in on this one as well oh boy this doesn't really do any of those things just something yeah another classic all gummed up inside slash fans getting trapped get ready anticipation feeling here they're ready for feelings [Music] Oh [Music] it's like a mock up inside [Laughter] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] Oh [Applause] [Music] today and there's more where that came from but before we get to our music I wanted to bring out two adventure times leading lady's first best blood sucking friend [Music] [Applause] Princess Bubblegum anyone hello ladies oh thanks for joining us what did you think of your singing how'd they do oh yes my mic on it's not loud enough you tell them lady Olivia you are a fan favorite Marcy is a fan favorite obviously why do you think that people are so drawn to Marceline she has problems I think it's because she's really relatable even though she's a demon vampire which I guess isn't reliable but I think a lot of Marceline storyline really opened up a door and adventure time that Tove into these characters paths and really really deeply douve and so I think that people were just excited for animation to kind of go that route she's started anything here first all the writers started do you have any favorite mercy moments that you'd like to share I just I loved being able to play father daughter with my dad that was a really fun record and something that not everybody made that they can do so yeah I think very few people could say that oh see in the audience now I see my friend hinden you said an interview once that you are Princess Bubblegum well apparently I'm gonna say that fact now you can you make up an answer for one case if you can actually fit well how do you relate to Princess Bubblegum I mean all the parts I play that I mean maybe it's true for you guys too but they are part of us and the more we do them the more they become part of us in a bigger and bigger way you know so even the villains from the bad guys it's like no no that was something when I was 14 years old I went out anyway but that's another story PB and I she's very organized she doesn't mess around with you know she handles things she's the weird part was they wrote in less you reckon Satori each question died she had each choice on the university each to the earth on and so it was it was just that was a weird coincidence meant to be I don't even remember why she spoke German I mean right the episode I was like surprised [Music] so obviously Adam Finn has had complicated relationships with both of these women poor guy can't catch a break cuz he's grown a lot over the course of the show so how do you feel like the relationships have evolved has been grew and I mean they're both extremely old characters hanging out like Twilight but somehow that's weird I think all four characters kind of became more of a peer group at the beginning yeah parents spoken was more of a quest giver the choosing authority figure Marceline was a rascal she was their spoil but I think as time went by it kind of became work on the same level in Finn you can kind of talk back to find his fellow bellman call her out if she seems like to speak to authoritarian he's right so I did it didn't grow which was nice because Finn did start is kind of just a very straightforward you know didn't questions very much she just had one way it just straight through punch through the door punch the person in crotch just I think over time he's punch first ask questions later yeah and I think it's become more more nuanced their whole relationship to each other as they've learned more about each other it's also cool to see that Finn had a crush on Peavy at the very beginning and then their relationship grew into just animatronic friendship like an equal yeah a party especially Amelia get to see him grow up and go through that go for that lesson to the teenage phase and stuff to you everybody has those those people that they like to know started out as having like crushes on their just become really really good friends over the years so I think it's really cool to see that me great longed-for yeah oh yeah yeah oh but he tried oh he tried you're saying to a suitor of PBS like my friend that is a road that leads nowhere good luck so speaking of friends we have a song for Jeremy and Olivia oh don't we yes my best friend's in the world that ended my guest on forever so are we starting at the what am I yeah even like see his daughter jerk nice to see you guys thanks for being here so now that the whole gang is here and and the soul trapped fan that we have we wanted to share something special with you guys have a special treat for all of you from the fans so take a look I'm reppin season one right here the lump off right there I'm crying already this is gonna be great that's an amazing fan beautiful well I'm sorry to give you a question right when you're coming online once again I cried Insurance commercials Flo is speaking the truth man the nickytom you know your ears well you became a later addition to the friend group I guess that guy Laurie what a fimo and Ice Ice King what are your favorite moves shenanigans that you got into a spin and shake what are your favorite memories of the show moments that you had with those characters nickytom oh man well you know when the IKEA moved in with them I thought that was funny because it was like I love what you take like these characters in this like super exotic crazy land and just do you like dumb but not our deep went there you know you can do really but I'll stuff it kind of it still matters because that's what life is a mixture of like high adventure and just boring [ __ ] yeah what about you like a little baby so taking care of me like I think there's episode like be more like kind of a hurt herself and then she's at the same time like sometimes the people really taking care of it is to like you know Finn and Jake what you order in death now all thank her or him and then yes there's a episode that they are like Phineas at first time so she's like really like okay Ben it's your best time you've been naked and then is there a lot going on you have to break yes naked he was really like a fun to be around her like living being sometimes I guess she's talking about you know being a talking me the football and in a Jake was there just there's so many different side of the people so it's just discovering little by little what is really fun I was took the beam onto our episodes Challenge put it in my back [Music] so I was really intimidated you know by Jake I'm John and uh and then I wasn't always like a dog in my mouth into the screep and then I'm just reading it [Music] amazing you're awesome everything yeah so I sort of a unique thing about Adventure Time is that it spawned creators of so many amazing Cartoon Network shows they may actually fun we have fun little graphic to show that I was told we did maybe we don't describe agents nervous all these amazing creators have come from adventure time and wonder if you want to talk a little bit about just all the people that worked on the crew and just shows that they've made it individually no we just got really lucky I think because Penn went after people who seemed like they had wrong personal vision so a lot of them would have been shows anyways I'm pretty sure we just kind of tried to steal some of their energy while they were on like vampires but no that's I mean and also the show can accommodate so many different tones and styles that I think it was really people really had vastly different visions because that was what the show yeah I think the testament to the show that so many amazing people worked on a new Donna to make the basic things so no green around for a lot of people so it's something like that [Applause] those phone numbers maybe if you were here Adam my new job the show's over speaking advanced the ultimate adventure it was coming out that's the serious excel we were to say that series finale of adventure time reveals an adventure Adam can you tell us a little bit about that nothing spoiler obviously but a little tidbits you can give us everything you want except for the people who don't want the things that we wanted I feel like especially now like when a show ends there's so much pressure so much expectations we ask you so many things that you know you can kind of go crazy just trying to incorporate all that I feel like we found an ending that is satisfying without trying to answer every single question yes exactly [Music] well we have something to share from the finale actually all trailer for you of irrelevance so you can judge it's funny right now here's tonight at curtain network so cancel all your other comic-con plans and just with your hotel room and watch setups we actually have one more comic-con it's really kind of amazing I hate the five so my question was obviously we can't really talk about about the final episode but what I want to know is based on when you started working on the show did it end the way that you kind of were expecting it to or was you know I know it is a long time between start and end you never I mean somebody knows but it wasn't me you know what I mean like you know somebody has it has it an idea for me for the end I mean when you come up with the beginning of the show they like the show you have to have that out in your mind so I'm sure that they had these output none of those were were ever told to us you know so we've kind of left in the dark which is fine you know I think we had the show evolved so much that from the first season I would have never imagined that we touched on as much as we did so how it grew I am happy with the way that the ending turned out but from the beginning I would have never thought it would that route every storyboard was a surprise to read you know you never yeah I never knew where any of the shows are going that's the magic of the land of MU because it's yet broad and there's so many things going on within it so true thank you for your question thank you [Music] what was your favorite part of making the show I think making the show was like the funnest part I mean it seems like it shouldn't have existed so every part of it was unlikely so while we were making out Jesus I can't believe they're still letting us make this that went on for years thank you so much for your question yeah I gotta say like like just the recording sessions were great and looking at you know the storyboards universe' reading the board before the you know just seeing where it was gone but just when you think about the years long experience of it of going in on Tuesdays and doing those sessions like it was it was just you know was really just one of the personalities and the people as well as the stories but also watching Jeremy who was a little cheetah when we started I have you really do have this familial feeling it like like paternal feeling about him you know so we were able to watch Jeremy you know get more and more mature well well John I got less and less it's like you say he was stealing our maturity like a succubus what's your show are you looking for Pokemon right now [Music] that kid just got my shirt please come up here didn't commit see this shirt right this is my own personal shirt where the circuit board OxiClean the hell out of it I folded it to help eNOS blind this is for you it's our signature time it's exhales but listen my favorite cartoon growing up was a Super Friends Frank's was Superman Wonder Woman Batman and Robin Aquaman and how can they have this thing with you to control animals in the ocean [Applause] [Music] but that was my favorite part too I love that you came I'm so prepared what's your name you see it easy Holy Trinity Max Fleischer Popeye Looney Tunes rocky Momo and then I my favorite cartoon was Miyazaki's future boy Conan there's a main character named Conan and it is adventure and then she tried he tried to save the girl's name Nina and so it's very similar with the Finn's character but that was my favorite I mean Carter I like scooby-doo cartoons sure yeah music jazz and Olivia what was your favorite person I don't gonna be from a slightly different time [Applause] [Music] Ren and Stimpy [Applause] every time that would be over she would have to rewind manually the VHS tape with a pencil so unfortunately we only have time for one more question but if you could sorry guys we just threw it up bro it's gonna be a ticket out of here yeah so what other show what do you want to do a crossover with from a crossover wit with adventure time yeah I got lucky because there was a little short scene in Futurama [Applause] so I got my wish and I spoke to myself in the sea so voices in my head are paying off working what show would you like to see it crossover with I'm gonna go with CSI my food project that's all right thank you so much for your question yesterday River man I think ready Jake Pete goth Archie would be good really wanted to leave and I came back for do a song for Olivia I love writing songs from Olivia so I want to play a song it's called everything stays it started Olivia wrote new lyrics and they loved them so I'll see you mind the thing Olivia will extended version let's go in the garden you'll find something way right there where you left it lying upside down when you finally find it you'll see animals faded the underside is lighter when you turned it everything stays right where you lived everything stays still changes ever so slightly daily and nightly in little ways when everything stays force outside of time to take us back so that we can see it will will again and again cuz you and I will always be back and I'll always be back you and I will always be back and that's what you and I
